"The Space Dragon upgrade." Samus said, confirming the upgrade. After she had acted like an overexcited teenager with her last upgrade, like a couple of upgrades before, she had chosen the upgrade before reverting, and now Samus had to try this one before resuming control. Space Dragon. Of course she'd choose Space Dragon while she was acting like that. She wondered just what kind of dragon the upgrade meant. She only knew one person who was a space dragon, and she didn't have any desire to see him again. She took the upgrade from the machine and inserted it into her zero suit, waiting for the upgrade to begin.

Samus' zero suit began to glow, and its colour changed to purple, losing its patterns and becoming a solid colour, before beginning to harden. The material changed from its soft rubber-like material to a hard scale-like one, and Samus found it difficult to move inside the unyielding shell. Her suit began to glow again and her skin tingled as her suit began to merge with her skin, the purple scale-like shell replacing her soft skin, the heels of her shoes disappearing as her feet were left bare. After a moment, her suit stopped glowing and Samus walked over to the mirror to take a look at herself.

She was now completely naked, with her skin having taken a purple colour to her new hard skin, but softened around her neck and face, which had a much softer look to it, although it was still purple like the rest of her body. Samus had an uncomfortable feeling about the meaning of the name of the upgrade, but before she could ponder it any further, she began to feel strange, and hear cracking coming from her body as the upgrade continued.

Her feet began to become longer and thinner, her bones cracking as her toes formed together into two long toes, each becoming as long as her foot and spreading in a v-shape, a long and sharp talon at the end of each one, while being bumpy and having ridges along it. A third toe sprouted from the back of each of her heels, much like a birds, a similar talon at the end helping her keep her balance. Her legs thinned out as the joints reformed, her legs becoming digitigrade to keep her balance on her new feet. Her arms became thinner as well, her fingers reforming and losing one on each hand, the fingers getting a bumpy shape to them as well as the fingernail growing longer and sharper into a set of white claws. Samus looked at her new claws, similar to when she got the Raptor upgrade, and felt her back cracking as the next set of changes set in.

Her back gained a series of ridges going up it, a series of spikes sprouting from the top of her spine, Samus bending forward from the sensation of them coming out. Her abdominals sunk in a bit, while her ribcage became more pronounced and obvious on her frame, her breasts shrinking slightly and losing her nipples. She felt a stretching sensation coming from her back, and turned around to see two small nubs coming from her shoulder blades, another two spikes sticking out and growing longer and longer as a tough membrane grew between, becoming two long and almost bat-like wings. As she flexed her new wings, just above her rear another bump appeared, growing into a short tail tipped with a sharp spade, growing longer and longer until it touched the ground, bumped all the way along.

Out of everything her face seemed mostly untouched, apart from her nose and mouth seeming a little pointier and elongated than before, and her ears had grown longer and pointed.. Her hair was even still there, even if it looked slightly odd on the purple skin. But overall, she still looked mostly human. Well, at least until Samus' mouth began to feel strange, and she opened it to see rows and rows of razor sharp teeth, far more than her human set, and a long and pointy lizard-like tongue that flickered out. She also found her mouth stretching wider and higher, the teeth glistening as it stretched inhumanly high. She quickly shut her mouth again, her face returning to normal as her tongue tucked back in.

Samus looked over herself, slightly disgusted with what she realised the upgrade to be. She had been transformed into a human-like version of Ridley's species. The species of the creature that was her greatest enemy and had killed her parents. There had to be some irony there.

"The sooner I get rid of this, the better." Samus said, her voice slightly higher and scratchier than usual as she walked back towards the computer.
