"The Alraune upgrade: Zero suit version." Samus selected from the list. She had hoped to transition straight from the power suit version to the zero suit version, but she had to go through reverting back to normal and changing suits before she could activate the other version. She took the chip from the machine and inserted it into her zero suit, waiting for the changes to begin.

She stepped away from the computer as her zero suit began to peel away the same way as the power suit, forming into the same petals in a circle. This time though, the rose they formed was much smaller, and the petals were thinner and far fewer, and blue like her zero suit. Samus felt her legs disappear from the thighs down as she stood in the middle of the flower, while she saw herself get elevated higher as the flower gained roots. This time though, rather than having a large base like the power suit version, the flower was directly held by a series of tendrils, suspended off the ground.

Samus watched her skin turn the same shade of green as before, her hair following as she gained the sensations of the roots. A few vines grew up and wrapped around her, laced with spikes and leaves, tipped with the same blue rose as her base at the ends. There was far fewer of them, Samus noted, possibly due to the same reasons as the rest of the flower being smaller. She was still able to maneuverer them just as well, and she attempted to wrap herself in defence like she had done previously. The petals budded up, but Samus could almost see right through, and it was clear that they wouldn't be able to protect her to the same degree as the power suit version.

Just as she was about to put the zero suit version down as far inferior, Samus went to move over to the mirror to have a look at herself, to find that when after she figured out how to move properly on her root tendrils, she could move much faster, testing them out as she built up to a full sprint, just as fast as she was normally. She could also make herself taller by stretching them out, and move herself around on the spot with them. Overall, far more agile than the slow moving, heavily based power suit version.

"Hmm… I think I like this one a little better." Samus said to herself, weighing up the advantages. "For one, I won't get hit so easily." She said to herself, before heading back over to the computer.
