"The Alarune upgrade, Power suit version." Samus selected from the list. Flying had been fun, and she had put the Rito upgrade on her list of upgrades to try again sometime, but when she was done, she had found an upgrade she was interested in, one with a zero suit version, and a power suit version. She didn't know what an Alarune was, so she decided to find out, taking the chip from the machine and donning her power suit, inserting the upgrade, waiting for it to begin.

Samus' suit began to glow, before beginning to unfolded, the metal peeling off Samus  down to her thighs, leaving her naked and exposed to the air. The metal seems to expand outwards, growing into a large, metre round circle around Samus, before splitting into individual sheets, resembling petals, many layers of them growing up around her thighs until she appeared to be standing in a large orange rose, the metal changing from metal into a soft material, like the petals they looked like.  Huge green leaves formed below the petals, thick tendril-like roots sprouting from under the rose, supporting the massive flower that Samus stood in.

Throughout this, Samus tried to step out of the flower, but she found that she couldn't move her legs at all! When she looked down, it looked like she was standing in the petals, but below her upper thighs, she was actually connected to the plant, her legs gone! Samus stopped moving as she realised that she could feel the ground beneath the roots of the flower, feeling the petals move slightly as she lay her hands on one. As she began to feel the sensations of the flower, her skin began to pale, taking on a green tone as her hair turned a darker shade of the same green, Samus managing to not look sickly with the green tones of her skin. Thorny green vines began to emerge from the flower, wrapping around Samus' body, the torns not hurting her as they grew, leaves growing from them as they encompassed her. Samus felt the sensation of both the vines touching her skin and the vines themselves, moving as she thought.

With the transformation complete, Samus stood, looking like a woman with green skin wrapped in vines, standing in a huge orange rose, supported by large roots on the ground, lumbering slowly across the ground when she tried to move.  

"I wonder how I'm supposed to defend myself in this thing. I'm such a huge target…" Samus said to herself, getting slightly startled as the petals of the rose closed up, forming a tight rosebud around her that Samus guessed was stronger than regular rose petals. She let her defence down, the flower unfolding back into its regular position.

"Too bad this thing's so slow…" Samus said as her roots slowly pulled her towards the computer, to try out the zero suit version of the upgrade.
