"The Cheshire upgrade." Samus selected from the list. She seemed to be doing animal named ones for some reason now, and while she couldn't quite place the name of the upgrade, she vaguely remembered as it being from some kind of story for human children. Having grown up raised by the Chozo, she couldn't recall anything about it, other than knowing it was a cat or dog or something. So she took the upgrade, plugging it into her zero suit as usual.

Samus' suits colours began to shift, alternating between the darker and lighter blues in horizontal stripes up her suit, while a long tail began to grow out from just above her behind, a sleeve of fabric growing over it in the same striped pattern as the rest of her suit. A pair of blue cat ears grew from the top of her head, strangely the same blue as her suit. Her eyes became slitted like a cat's as her hearing changed its place, her human ears disappearing and becoming flat skin covered by her hair. Nothing really new to Samus, who gave an experimental flick to her new tail. She looked over her striped suit, not really surprised by any of her changes. Until her suit began to turn invisible.

Samus began to turn invisible, seeing through herself as she looked down at her rapidly disappearing arms, bringing them together, feeling them even if she couldn't see them. Her torso disappeared as she ran to the mirror, just a floating head by the time she got there. Her head faded away as well, her lips the last to go. She remembered how a few of her others upgrades went, and imagined herself as visible again, quickly fading back into sight. Something clicked in Samus' head as the last of her body formed, her face splitting into a wide grin, wondering what she could mischief she could get to with her new power.
"Ooh, I wonder just what I could do with this…" Samus said, her grin becoming somehow even wider as she faded away, her smile being the last thing to disappear.
