Samus walked through the abandoned space station, her boots making a soft clicking sound as she moved. Her ship had caught a distress call from a ship as she was returning from a mission, and she had naturally answered it. Her armor was damaged from her last battle, and was still being repaired, leaving her traversing the ship in her zero suit. A scan of the ship had shown that it still had life on it, but the scan also showed that none of the life on it would be able to harm her. From the lack of human or alien presence, Samus assumed that there were some test animals of some sort still on another part of the ship.

She, not to leave herself completely on her own, had a small earpiece with an up-link to her ship and scanning capabilities, able to access some terminals and give her a layout of the ship. From what she knew, she was approaching the source of the distress signal, just at the end of the hallway she was currently at. Samus reached a door and a passageway to her right, finding herself unable to open the locked door.

"Computer," She asked through her earpiece, "What is the quickest way to get to the other side of this door?"

"There are two paths that you can take," Her computer responded in a gentle, female monotone, analyzing the map of the ship. "You may take the passageway to your right, and follow another series of passageway to an unlocked door to enter that room. Or you may access a ventilation shaft to your left, and directly enter the room."

"Guess I'm taking the vents." Samus said to herself, crouching to take off the ventilation shaft cover, crawling into the ventilation. It was a tight fit, and she didn't have much room at the waist, but she could move. A minute of crawling later, and Samus removed a second cover, coming out into the room. It was a fairly empty room, with only a row of computer terminals and the other, slightly ajar door. Samus spotted a blinking light coming from one of them, and approached it. She pressed a small button next to the light, which seemed to shut it off. She was starting to suspect that it was a trick of some sort, considering the lack of personnel on the ship, although there didn't seem to be anything to attack her with.

Samus turned to leave, but stopped as she heard a loud, synthesized voice intone "Signal disabled. Active program 00234 HUNTER."

This immediately alerted Samus, who put herself on guard, and turned back to the terminal. However, as she scanned the terminal for any sign of controls, she heard a familiar hissing sound. A Metroid! She swung around, and saw her familiar foe floating in front of her, although oddly smaller than normal. Usually the metroids she fought were as big as her torso, this one was slightly smaller than a soccer ball. And its pincers were different too, they seemed less made for piercing, and more for latching without actually harming the target...

While Samus noted these, her trained eye picking up and identifying these differences in seconds, this didn't lower her defenses for a second. Samus slowly edged away from the Metroid, which lazily floated in front of her. Suddenly, it charged at Samus, who jumped out of the way, rolling out of harms way. However, in her unarmed state, she couldn't do anything to it, as it immediately wove back into her way. Samus wasn't fast enough to dodge it as it latched onto her abdominals. Samus had a surge of panic as she went to do something, anything she could to stop it from draining her, but found she couldn't.

Samus had a strange, almost lightheaded feeling of slight pleasure that left her unable to do anything but vacantly stand there as the Metroid did its work. The Metroid began to swell as all Metroids did while attacking, growing until it reached its limit, and then detaching its self from Samus, floating off through the door and into the corridor.

Samus managed to regain her sense of thought, and was immediately shocked. While the Metroid had latched onto her, she wasn't dead. In fact, it hadn't even pierced her zero suit. Although as she looked down, she did find out what it had done. Her belly, rather than being flat and toned as it normally was, was rounded. Not like she had gained weight, but rather as if she was pregnant, and had entered her second trimester.

While still shocked at her growth, Samus was still professional enough to contact her computer. "Computer," She said into her mouthpiece, "Just what was that Metroid?"

"Species of Metroid unknown. Uploading scan data..." The voice replied, processing the data she had obtained from the first Metroid. "The subject appears to be an engineered subspecies of Metroid, designed not to absorb energy, but rather to implant another form of energy into a host. This results in an immediate swelling of the target area that is, while not harmful, causes a loss of agility and speed."

"Well thanks..." Samus said. It wasn't good news, but at least she knew what she was up against. "Scan for life-signs on the ship now. Identify non-lethal life-signs also."

"Scan complete. The ship has life signs at all areas, more than fifty being identified. All are examples of the same specimen identified before."

"Well that's just great." Samus sighed in response to the news. She figured she might as well get going, and began to walk towards the vent from where she came. Half way there, she heard the hissing noise of a Metroid, and stood alert. Another Metroid had entered through the vent, bigger than the last one, and was slowly approaching her. Determined to do better this time, Samus waited for the Metroid to charge, and dove into a smooth roll. Or what would have been a smooth roll, had her rounded belly not screwed up the motion, leaving her face up on the floor. The Metroid quickly latched onto her inviting belly, and Samus gasped, helpless as it swelled up until she looked heavily pregnant, looking like she was about to give birth.

Samus pulled herself up, still slightly dazed from the Metroid. She hadn't even made it out of the room, and she already had been attacked twice. Samus looked over her large belly, now unable to see her feet. With something that big, there was no way she could fit through the ventilation now. She was just glad her zero suit could stretch so much, and it looked like she'd need it, seeing as she had a long way to go to get back to her ship. Samus broke out into a waddling run, her belly weighing and feeling the same as a pregnant one.

-

Samus panted as she ran through the ship. She was going well, as she made it a whole quarter way there, and had only been attacked once. With her mass, there was no way she could avoid a direct attack, and as such, she was now even bigger, and was now starting to feel the strain. Samus turned a corner, and ran straight into two Metroids! They were tiny things, but they immediately latched onto her breasts, one for each. Samus gave a soft moan as the paralyzing sensation mixed with the feeling from the Metroids on her breasts. The Metroids, swollen and their job done disengaged, floating off to parts unknown, leaving Samus behind.

Shaking off her dizziness, Samus began to move on. However, she was now slowed down even more by her now huge breasts, jiggling slightly as they lay on her belly. She navigated her way though the tunnels, determined to make it back.

-

Samus gasped as she leaned against the cold metal walls, getting her breath back. Her trek hadn't gone smoothly, and her body showed it. Her breasts were individually larger than her head, and she looked like she was about to give birth to triplets! In another encounter, two of them had latched onto her rear, expanding her hips to give her a very wide pear shape, had the rest of her body been normal. Samus was somewhat glad for it, as her huge hips and thighs gave her more to support her body. She began to move again, only able to move at a slow waddle. All pretenses of speed were gone, and Samus felt like if she sat down, she wouldn't be able to stand back up. She moved into the next room, and continued her trek.

-

Samus stepped awkwardly into the last room, as a final Metroid finished its business, flying away. It had taken her hours, and she was completely exhausted, but she was almost there. Her hips were enormous, her breasts were the size of melons, and her gargantuan belly extended almost a meter in front on her, but she still made waddling steps towards her ship. The trap had worked. Samus was too tired to try to pretend it hadn't. The process was reversible, but it would take time, and a child could have beaten Samus in a fight. In fact, all it would take was a slight push, and Samus would be on the ground, completely helpless. She wondered if she could modify her suit to compensate. Looking like she could give birth to a whole family, Samus, with the assistance of her ship, was hauled onto the top of her ship, and stood as the entrance to her ship began to lower... And she got stuck, her belly getting in the way. Samus sighed. "Computer, open the cargo bay."
