The 'Grand Arabian Sword Dance' was conceived by a Polish showman and first publicly performed by an Algerian woman in a French circus. Cultural dubiousness aside, it's a technically stunning and breathtakingly impressive display of talents, requiring its performer, traditionally a nubile woman wearing a vaguely Middle Eastern-ish jinn inspired costume, to perform an elaborate and tightly choreographed dance routine while simultaneously juggling 5 scimitars all the while performing tricks and flourishes. Even using dull blades, which most performers preferred, the routine was exceptionally difficult and dangerous. Using functional blades, the routine was suicidal for all but the most talented and brave performers in the world. Roxy was not only one of these incredibly rare talents, but she would soon be the youngest performer to ever successfully perform the act before a live audience!
