This feels so… unreal… so… weird…

Well… it kind of won’t be real for you in a bit.  The Cosmagic Digitizer device will be ready for you in like an hour, and after that…  Having second thoughts?

Hmph.  It’s a bit late for that!  Once the machine cools off from Sakura, I get to spend the rest of my life as part of a program, just code and data.  I mean… I guess it beats trying to make rent with an art degree, but when you asked for help with your indie video game project, I did not think I’d be joining it as a playable character!

But you’re a real team player!  And the concept art you created for Kiki became an instant favorite on our socials. It just made you the perfect fit for her, and we can only really afford a few people to actually be in the game like this, so making you one of the title’s poster-girls, a poster-girl you designed, well…

If I knew I’d wind up becoming the character I was drawing, I think I’d have given myself fewer straps in my default outfit.  Or maybe designed a guy for you…

Oh, please we needed some girls in impractical, skimpy outfits to headline the title… and Sakura’s outfit was way skimpier than yours!

Well, she was your girlfriend!  I still can’t believe you talked her into being digitized and installed in our game… let alone that she let you turn her into a Nipponese ninja-girl with, just, ridiculous tits!  If she wasn’t made of ones and zeroes now, those knockers would kill her…

Well, maybe kill you.  They figure into a lot of her attack animations…  I was able to see her, ah, final product.  The digitization really adds a lot of character and depth to the move-set, animations, even the model-work and textures!  Way above and beyond what we can do with normal tools.

So I get to look forward to being assaulted by your girlfriend’s tits now… and… uhg… I know Sakura wasn’t her name… why can’t I remember what it was?  She was a real person for like twenty years before she became Sakura Hitotomi…

Oh, that’s the same reason you can’t remember your old name.  A lot of mental conditioning had to go into the spells to keep you stable in your new forms.  Like… well, a bunch of your personality is going to get kind of… not quite replaced, but maybe smoothed-over with your new character…

What character?!  We’re going to be part of a fighting game!  I have like two paragraphs of backstory and my personality is just ‘flirty and giggly!’

Well, yeah, that’s actually a major part of it.  There’s all sort of diagetic stuff, so all the one-on-one fights with ninjas and demons and super-soldiers and such will feel more… fun and not realistic or frightening or painful.  Still not exactly clear what the perspective is on the inside, we can’t exactly ask our digitized characters, but the Cosmagic people think they’re enjoying the experience… even if they don’t exactly expect them to hold onto free will after being uploaded…

… well, there’s a beach volleyball mini game, and Kiki has a lot of collectable outfits.

Hrmph.  They better be cute.  And sexy.  And… hrmm… you know… the priming and transgender and body-work transformations Cosmagic did this morning are… really quite nice.  It’d be a shame if I only got to spend a couple hours as a girl before I’m digitized without really… experiencing it… and you seem really cute now…
