As we've already explained before, magic only works on things already made of magic. It's part of the reason that most of our magically themed costumes are tailor-made by Iz, and we typically avoid going too large on our prop work.

So, obviously, when Sofia approached me about wanting to become a robot for her Halloween costume, I was a bit skeptical that we'd be able to pull off anything convincing in our short scheduling time frame.

Thankfully, the kind folks at Magic Robotics LLC offered to sponsor us and send us over some of their amazing robotic limbs (the ones that they use in the movies!) and walk us through the process to get everything together. So, after several days waiting for things to ship, and Sofia taking several classes on how to add various functioning ports to herself and get enough of an understanding of various electrical signals to be able to connect to the wifi, and a very long weekend trying to assemble all the bits and bobs with quite a few calls to our contact at MR, 50F-1A truly came to life!
