So, I buried the lead quite a bit, but Iz and Izzy are a bit more than just your average, ordinary set of twins.

You see, Iz and Izzy are magical twins. Imagine the process of identical twins, but instead it's a magic core that splits into two separate cores, while maintaining only one body.

Normally, this rare condition is caught relatively early on, and both parties are able to separate and develop their own body. However Iz and Izzy were so similar growing up, that nobody caught on until quite a bit later that they were two distinct cores (Hence the similar nicknames, since both of them identify as Izumi).

Because of the fact that they're so used to sharing the one body, both of them suffer from separation anxiety. They've been making great strides in splitting up, but both of them still get itchy and uncomfortable if they're more than a few feet apart from one another. So, they usually take turns piloting their body, or take forms such as this one if both of them need to be present for something.
