I took a long look at my back catalog the other day, reminiscing about some of the stories that never were, and realized it was only a matter of time until the hard drive on this ancient computer I use to write would die.
Everything's already backed up on an external hard drive, but I also realized that there were some stories in my collection that, for one reason or another, I really just couldn't go back and finish. Either from lack of interest, too much time staring at it, or just not being in the same mental head space as I was when I wrote them initially 2, 3, 5, heck even 10 years ago at this rate!
I thought I would grab the 'cream of the crop' so to speak and release them out into the world, just to have some form of closure with half-baked ideas from years earlier, and have divided them up into what I hope are appropriately paced parts.
A lot of these stories are half-baked, and unmodified from the way they appear in my hard drive, so reader beware, probably plenty of spelling mistakes, wonky phrasing, and potentially some author notes. I have added a little description on what the stories would have been about, and have skimmed through the selections to put up some content warnings for the more questionable parts.
And In case it wasn't obvious based on the title, you have my expressed permission here to take, mold, tune, modify, save, upload, be inspired by, etc. any story in this series as you see fit. And if you'd rather just sit by and read the stories that never were, that's perfectly acceptable too.
I'll be back to writing proper stuff soon, so for now, enjoy this four part weekly event.
