It's been nice having them in the story, but they have their own challenges to deal with. (As a side note, I'm sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to gratuitous amounts of feet kissing. This was the most logical reason I could come up with for why Bernice would suddenly kiss her own feet after the shock of waking up in a tree.)
