The video started off pointing upwards at the blue sky. There were some clouds overhead, but otherwise it was clear blue as far as the video could see. There was the occasional bird, or bug passing by, indicating the camera was most likely somewhere close to the ground. At around twenty seconds in, a small plane flew across the sky, leaving behind it a white cloud trail as it moved from one side of the screen to the next.
At the thirty second mark, a tiny spot (not more than a few pixels at best) appeared to slowly fall from the while cloud trail. As time went on, this spot very slowly began to get bigger, typically not more than a pixel or two every second. Eventually, though, the spot began to gain slightly more definition, and it was clear that whatever the object was, it was very quickly picking up speed as it approached.
There were only about two seconds of video where it was both clear what the object actually was, and the object was in the frame of the camera. In those two brief seconds, if one were to pause the video, they would have seen a woman in a pink jumpsuit barreling towards the camera at an extremely high velocity with the biggest smile possible on her face. Shockingly enough, she wasn’t wearing a helmet, her long blond hair blowing wildly in all directions thanks to the wind.
As she quickly passed by the camera and presumably hit the ground, rather than the bone-shattering thud that would normally have sounded, there was instead a wet ‘Schlorp’ like sound.
The camera was suddenly lifted up from its position on the ground and pointed to a more neutral level, revealing that the surrounded landscape looked like a large open field surrounded by a very small runway. In the background, there were two aircraft hangars, and a large billboard advertising to ‘Come fall out of the sky at Clarkson Skydiving Center’.
The camera panned down, revealing that across the field, the words ‘ANGA S3!” had been painted in large, chalk letters. Replacing the dot of the explanation point was a large target. On that target, where one would have reasonably expected to be a human body in the worst position one could imagine, was instead a large puddle of pinkish-peach goo.
The goo didn’t really seem to have form of consistency across the puddle, with some bits appearing gloopier than others. It almost looked as though someone had dropped a water balloon of paint from a very high distance onto a canvas, with small streaks and specks sprayed haphazardly around.
As the video focused on the mess, the center of the splat began to bubble, and as one particularly large bubble began to blow, it popped, the rim where the bubble had connected to the blob forming into a pair of lips. “He he. Sorry about that. But you know what they say, ‘Go big, or go home!’”.
The various extremities of the splatter began to slowly roll inwards, focusing the gelatin-like mass directly underneath the pair of lips. As the viscous liquid climbed upwards into a makeshift tower, it also began twisting, the tower soon resembling a tightly wrapped, peach-colored licorice rope, the mouth being lost in the folds.
At around 6', the fleshy rope unfurled, twisting impossibly into the human woman who had briefly been caught falling from the sky. She was no longer wearing a pink jumpsuit, instead wearing a pink t-shirt with a party popper on the front and a pair of blue jeans and converse sneakers. She had long, blond hair that reached past her shoulders, and a light amount of make-up that much like her outfit, really accentuated her feminine features.
“Hello! I’m Rachel! And I want to be a contestant on ANGA Season 3!” Her smile was filled with the same energy and enthusiasm she had when she had hit the grounds moments earlier.
“So, little bit of background on me. I’m twenty-five years old, studied political science at NYU, and have spent the last couple of years, traveling around the world and just trying out anything and everything that I can think of.” As she explained this, a montage of Rachel in a variety of outfits, locations, and scenarios scrolled past the screen. In one shot, she was sitting on a bed of needles, the needles clearly penetrating her legs based the fact the tips seemed to just be exiting her thighs. In another, she was laughing with some friends, the head of a rather nasty looking bug on the end of her fork. In yet another, she was relaxing in what appeared to be a hot tub filled with what appeared to be the flesh-colored liquid form she had been just moments ago.
“The reason I want to go on ANGA, and really the reason I want to become an Assistant in the first place, is the same reason that people love to ride roller coasters, or go hiking with limited supplies, or even jump out of airplanes,” she winked at the camera, “I want my life to be exciting and filled with unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and really, who’s life is more exciting than the assistant to a World-Class magician?” She smiled once more, pulling a pair of pink sunglasses out of her pockets and putting them on.
“I may not have a lot of stage experience, but I can tell you right now that if you pick me for Season 3, I’ll do my best to be your most exciting contestant yet!” She tipped her sunglasses down her nose so that her hazel eyes could be seen, giving another wink to the camera. “But for now, Ciao! I’ve got two more jumps before my time is up,” she grinned wildly as she walked across the tarmac, where the plane that had been briefly seen earlier had landed.
As the plane took off, the camera was placed once more on the ground looking up at the sky.
