Satuday Night
The cameras panned around the rooftop stage as it did every Saturday evening, the seats as equally packed as ever. Drake Bordignon stepped out from behind the curtains, taking his place center stage to introduce the show.
“Ladies and Gentlemen!” Drake paused, waiting for the cheers of the crowd to die down, “Last week, we challenged these three eye-catching assistants to design a challenge around being the center of attention. Tonight, we’ll get to see these dazzling performances.
Of course, before we do that, we need to thank our wonderful celebrity judge: Natasha!” The lights dimmed once more, as a spotlight on the shot out, highlighting the assistant as she got out of her seat. She was wearing a magenta sequined dress that highlighted the curves or her body. “She’s been a wonderful guest, and was an absolute joy to have around. So from the ANGA staff, and from the people at NBMonthly, we want to thank you so much for participating and providing feedback to our lovely girls, and wish you the best of luck in your next magical endeavors.” The audience cheered, and Natasha took a bow, her large endowments straining against the top of her dress as she did so.
“And now-“
“Wait!” Howard said, popping out from behind the curtain and shocking Drake, “I’d like to say something before we begin.”
“S-Sure!” Drake said, handing Howard the microphone and awkwardly stepping towards the side. Howard took center stage, and appeared to be psyching himself up before he began his speech.
“As I’m sure all of you have been watching the series with interest are aware… Two nights ago, my daughter and I got into a large argument,” Howard understated, “and over the course of this discussion, I very nearly lost everything once again. At one point my will was shattered, and for a moment I nearly committed the unforgivable sin of a magician and decided to cancel the show without good reason.” Howard paused for dramatic effect, before continuing, “Of course, if it wasn’t for these three amazing assistants, and the help of my lovely daughter, this show would not be happening right now. So, I would like to dedicate tonight’s performance to them. Ladies and Gentlemen, could you please applaud for Sable, Maya, Annette and my wonderful daughter, Nora!” Howard let go of the microphone, it floated harmlessly in the air, as he began clapping towards the fold of the curtain. From it, the three assistants slowly walked out, and additional spotlight shooting down into the audience next to Natasha, where Nora was sitting, wearing a white dress. She waved at the camera, the slightest glimpse of tears visible in her face. The audience cheered loudly, and after an appropriate amount of time, the spotlight dimmed and the three girls made their way backstage once more.
“Alright Drake. Thank you so much,” Howard said, grabbing the microphone out of the air and handing it back to him, “And sorry for the delay.”
“No problem,” Drake said, waiting for Howard to return back behind the curtain again before turning his attention back towards the audience and announcing, “With that out of the way, Let’s get this show rolling!” Drake walked off stage, the curtain slowly beginning to rise.

Annette’s Performance
Annette stood center stage, wearing what she would probably have considered her casual outfit, blue jeans, cowboy boots, a button down with a red argyle pattern, and a cowboy hat. She looked at her watch, tapping her boot as she asked, “Where is Howard? He said we were going to practice for the show hours ago.”
From behind her, the air seemed to fizzle slightly, as the air began to change colors, revealing a suspiciously human-male looking Rocky. Rocky opened up his mouth wide, revealing the smiling face of Howard inside of him, the strange Rocky/Howard combination holding his hand up to his face in a whispering motion, before Rocky camouflaged himself once again, Annette barely missing him as she turned to look around when some people in the crowd started clapping.
“Huh… Guess I can get a little bit of a warm-up in then before he shows up,” Annette reached her hand behind her back, and with a perfect flourish, pulled out a red hula hoop which was doing its best to disguise the fact that it was clearly still Rocky. She spun the hoop around on her arm, and with an impressive display of acrobatics, hopped through the hoop as she transferred it from one side of her body to the other.
Along the way, her outfit had completely changed, her cowgirl outfit being replaced with a more appropriate Red Leotard, her hair tying itself up into a nice blond bun and her boots and hat completely disappearing. Satisfied with her transformation, she threw the hoop into the air, past the stage lights, and gave a little nod when it didn’t come back down.
“Alright. First some easy stretches,” Annette jogged in place a little bit to warm up her muscles, before stopping and doing a Warrior’s Pose. She closed her eyes concentrating on her breathing.
This probably wasn’t the smartest decision, as seemingly from the darkness, a black clawed hand appeared, lightly grabbing the top of Annette’s head and rotating it impossibly a full one hundred eighty degrees and then disappearing once more. As Annette returned to her normal standing pose, she opened her eyes, jumping a little bit as she looked down.
She turned around and faced the audience, shouting “Okay… Howard! Are you here? Did you do this to me?!” She put her hands on her hips, which looked a little ridiculous from behind. After a few seconds of waiting, she shrugged, jogging a bit in place one more and striking a warrior pose facing the other way, closing her eyes once again to focus on her breathing.
Much like before, Rocky’s hand reappeared this time grabbing Annette’s outstretched hand and effortlessly rotating her at her hips. This time, as Annette returned to her normal stance, her head and legs were facing the proper direction, while her torso was facing the wrong direction. She opened her eyes just after the hand had camouflaged once more.
“Howard!” Annette said angrily, “This isn’t funny! I didn’t get this way myself!” Annette began pacing around the stage, waving her arms wildly behind her as she tried her best to search the whole space for Howard.
She didn’t have to wait long for Howard to interfere, as Rocky’s clawed hands reappeared once more, grabbing hold of Annette’s hands and holding them in place as Annette continued walking around, seemingly not noticing that her arms were stretching impossibly long. Eventually though, she did notice, and before she was even able to shout out a word of protest, the two clawed hands began flying around in other directions, circling Annette multiple times and tying her up in her own arms, bending the arms impossibly to even make a little bowtie.
“Howard!” Annette said, her arms shifting around a little bit as she did her best to untie herself, “This really isn’t funny!”
“But my dear!” Howard’s disembodied voice said, “We’ve hardly even begun the trick. There’s no need to go tying yourself up in a knot already!” Two giant Rocky hands appeared for a moment before disappearing once again, as Annette was hoisted into the air by her head and her feet (the only parts of her that hadn’t been wrapped up by her arms). In one fluid motion, it looked like Annette’s body had somehow managed to tie itself into a knot, pulling tightly to make the parts where her body seemed to taper into the knot more pronounced.
“Howard! I swear when I get out of this and figure out how you’re doing this! I’m going to tie you into a knot!”
“But first, my dear, you’re going to have to get out of that,” You could hear the grin in Howard’s voice, as he said, “Here, I’ll help you out with that.”
From either side of the stage, what was clearly a transformed Rocky had briefly appeared, each half shaped a bit like half of a hollowed out sphere. These shapes disappeared as they began to approach Annette, and before the audiences eyes, Annette’s shape seemed to gradually become disfigured, turning into a sphere without any obstruction hide the effect. The knot completely disappeared, forming the center of her new sphere body.
Without any warning, Annette’s sphere form dropped to the floor, her only visible feature being her face and a tuft of her blond hair on the top of her body. The rest of her features had been so compacted, that it all seemingly morphed together into a single, uniform flesh color. She didn’t have much time to wait, as her form was suddenly lifted off the floor, rotating slowly in the air as Howard’s voice said, “You see! I helped you get into shape!” Howard chuckled.
From underneath her, what Howard had been rotating Annette on became visible, which was a large black claw. From above Annette, the second shape of Rocky’s other clawed hand appeared, being the thing actually causing Annette to spin. When she was facing the audience once more, the hand spinning Annette lifted up, and slammed down on her sphere body.
With a nasty “Pop!” Annette’s sphere form burst as it made greater contact with the spike.
From within the sphere, and now visibly impaled on Howard’s spike hand, Annette’s regular body had returned. Bits of Annette’s former body were still fluttering down from the sky, as she looked down at what was now impaling her, “Aha! So that’s how you’ve been hiding yourself!”
With some difficulty, Annette managed to get some footing, pulling herself up and off of Rocky’s massive claw. She turned towards the audience, revealing the large hole in her chest, which quickly filled out once more with flesh, before her leotard melded over it as well. “Rocky!” Annette commanded, “Show yourself!”
Much like at the beginning of the trick Rocky’s man-like form appeared, opening its mouth wide to reveal Howard’s grinning face. Annette furiously said, “Howard! I can’t believe you used my precious Rocky like some common household skin suit!”
“Now, now,” Howard grinned, “I would hardly call Rocky a common skin suit.”
“You’re right,” Annette smiled back, her grin filled with malice, “After all. He does listen to anything I say. Rocky! Flatten Howard!”
Howard gave a look of alarm, as suddenly his face was swallowed up by Rocky, his shape gradually shrinking as he turned himself into a dog-like form once again. He opened his mouth wide, and like a printer, the flattened form of Howard Weiss slowly came out of his mouth. He seemed frozen in place, as Annette grabbed the top of her magician, slowly rolling him up into a tube.
She seemed like she was about to stuff it in her back pocket before saying, “Oh yeah!” With some purposeful roughness, she bent the folded Howard in such a way that the scroll that he basically was now had a knot in it, “Almost forgot.” She walked over to Rocky, scooping him up in her arms and giving him a snuggle as they walked off the stage, the curtains closing behind them.

Sable’s Performance
The curtains rose, and Sable looked nervously at the crowd as she stood in the center of the stage in her black leotard. For a moment, it had looked like she had frozen completely, but Sable seemed to recover quickly, as a smile came across her face, “H-Hi everyone!” She managed to say, speedily getting through her explanation, “Since the challenge of this week was to make an act where I was the center of attention, I thought I’d use the opportunity to show off what it feels like when I try to design one of my tricks. Howard! Bring it on!”
From the stage left, Howard wheeled out a large pillar like structure of glass. “For those of you who’ve never seen one of these before, this is a glass prism,” Howard patted the top of the pillar of glass, the above televisions giving an arial view to show its triangular nature. “It’s primary usage is to separate out the various wavelengths of light. Today however, we’ll be using it to help separate out Sable’s various thoughts.”
Howard set up the prism at center stage, and Sable gave the audience a look of excitement as she charged at the prism, and immediately bounced off of it, nearly causing the prism to tip over. “Ouch!” She said, looking annoyed at it, “Howard. Why didn’t that work.”
“Because, my dear, we didn’t get you prepped first!” Howard grinned, as he walked off stage stage right and pulled out a hand crank generator. He handed sable two wires, a red one and a black one, and methodically began rotating the hand crank as he explained, “For those of you who don’t know color theory, black isn’t the mixture of all colors, but rather the absence of it. So, in order to properly have Sable refract through the light, we need to charge her with a bit of light energy.”
As he turned the hand crank, Sable’s hair began to visibly stand on end, her hair and outfit slowly turning white growing from the tips upwards. “Ooh, tingly!” Sable commented. Thirty seconds later, even Sable’s skin was starting to give off a white glow, as Howard stopped turning the hand crank, clearly exhausted.
“Alright Sable,” Howard said, pulling up a curtain in front of the prism, “I think you should be ready to go.”
Sable went to her original mark once more, looking excitedly at the prism before running at it full charge.
From the other end of the curtain, six smaller shapes all tumbled out at once in a massive pile of tangled limbs. After some sorting out, the six forms managed to untangle themselves, revealing that the singular white Sable had split herself into six, significantly smaller clones, each one about half the size of what Sable had originally been. Each one wore a different colored leotard that matched their differently colored hair, and they even seemed to give off the faintest glow. Each of the six Sables seemed to look on at the crowd with a different emotion, the Red one with a scowl, the Orange one with a look of excitement, the Yellow one with a simple smile, the Green one eyeing them suspiciously, the Blue one like it was about to cry, and the Purple one strategically hiding itself behind her Blue clone so that she didn’t have to look out at the crowd.
“Alright Sable,” Howard grinned as he asked, “What do you want to do for the show this week?”
Orange one started talking before Howard had even finished the sentence, “Ooh! I want to cut myself up and do something fun!” She reached up, grabbing her head and pulling it off in one simple motion, tossing it up in the air.
“No! That’s dumb!” Red one said, scowling, “We can’t do something that simple! We’ll be kicked off for sure”
“Ooh! I like detachment too!” Yellow one said, reaching up and detaching her own head, “Thank you so much for the idea Orange! And thank you Red for the criticism.”
“What does it matter?” Blue said, lying down sideways in a fetal position towards the audience, “We’re just going to get kicked out anyways.”
“Not that I’d be the one to agree with such a crybaby,” Green said, looking down in disgust at Blue, “but she’s right. Annetta and Maya are just so much better at this whole magic thing than us.”
“Don’t say that!” Yellow said, reattaching her head and smiling at Green, “If we just stay thinking positive, I’m sure that we can create a great show! Isn’t that right Purple?”
Purple popped up from behind Blue, having shrunken significantly so that only her tiny head could barely be seen, “Please don’t drag me into this, I’d rather not perform at all.”
“Grah!” Red said, growing in size. She picked up Blue and Green by their legs, hoisting them up into the air and dangling them by their feet, “We’re not going to get anywhere if you two don’t start pulling your weight and start thinking up some good ideas!” Purple, who had realized that her hiding spot had been removed, turned into a mouse, quickly scurrying behind Yellow.
“Red! Threatening people is not a good way to get them to want to help!” Green, reached up her body, digging her hands into her hips and sunk them in, effectively cutting herself in half. Like a cat, her upper half seemed to rotate in the air, landing perfectly on her hands, which helped soften the blow of the landing.
“Yeah Red. You’re going to make Blue sick!” Green warned.
“I’m sorry I’m so useless!” Blue cried, her tears climbing down her head, leaving strange trails on her face.
“Hey girls! Look!” Orange said, drawing their eyes towards her. During their fighting, Orange had continued to disassemble her body. She had propped up her legs and feet into triangle structures where their nubs perfectly balanced against each other, and had somehow managed to perfectly balance her torso over this. Her head sat on top of her stomach, using it as a cushion. “I’m a House of Sable!”
“Wow… That looks really dumb,” Green said.
“Ooh! But it does give me an idea!” Yellow smiled.
Yellow pulled out a deck of card from seemingly nowhere. She pulled out the top five cards, flicking them outwards at a surprising speed, the card embedding themselves with relative ease into each of her clones. With a bright flash, each of her sisters disappeared, instead being replaced with a giant playing card with a rainbow colored backside. Yellow, with David’s assistance, lifted each up, revealing their new artwork.
Red had became a King, her massive body breaking past the regular borders of the artwork of the card. Orange had became a Six, her various bits spread evenly in the normal pattern. Green had became a two, her lower half placed above her bottom half. Blue had became a queen, who was unfortunately still upside down in her artwork, the strange tear pattern that climbed up her face still present. Finally, purple had became an Ace, her tiny mouse body bending into the shape of a heart.
With some relative ease, Howard and Yellow arranged the cards into a proper stack of cards, with Red and Orange forming one triangle, Green and Blue forming the other triangle, and Purple placed delicately on top. Yellow seemed to step on the air, a little platform of golden light appearing as she walked up and stood on the precariously built structure. “Now this is more like a real House of Sables,” She smiled at the audience.
Suddenly, the house collapsed from underneath her feet, a large amount of dust coming out from nowhere as she seemed to land harshly on the ground. The audience let out a little cry of shock, but as the dust dispersed, they could see that Sable was unharmed, her proportions and color having returned to normal, and the cards underneath her having lost their rainbow colored backs.
“I guess like a real house of cards… That trick was probably a little unstable,” She laughed, Howard joining in as the curtain drew closed.

Maya’s Perfromance
The curtains rose once again, and probably the most significant stage change as shown on the show thus far had occurred. The normal flatness of the stage had been transformed into a series of steps, arranged concentrically such that regardless of where you were sitting in the audience, the steps rose upwards towards a single, large green door, the center of which had a large eye pattern that spread across both doors. In some ways, the set had transformed into an optical illusion, making the set look a bit like a hallway.
Howard walked out appearing at the bottom of the stairs, wearing a dark blue robe and large, pointy blue hat, each adorned with large, yellow stars. “My Queen!” He shouted, “You must awaken from your slumber!”
The large double doors at the top of the stairs opened up, and from them emerged Maya. She was wearing a fancy gown that puffed out. The material was a majestic emerald green and around the puffs was slightly transparent. As she made her way down the stairs, she looked positively radiant and poised, until she reached about the middle step and pitched forwards.
Howard was able to catch her. Further up the staircase, Maya’s entire right leg up to just below her knee had been severed. “Alright. Who put glue on throne room steps?” Maya asked out to the crowd.
“Don’t worry about that,” Howard said, making sure Maya was steady before going to retrieve her leg from the steps. “It was some stuffy looking prince. He said that he had spotted a princess run down the steps in glass slippers and he wanted to try and steal them from her.”
“Ah, thank you Howard the Wizard,” Maya accepted her leg, easily reattaching it to where it should have rightfully been. “Now, what was it that you were trying to tell me?”
“Ah yes!” Howard said, “There are a band of travelers who wish to speak to Magical Queen of Oz.”
“Really? Alright then. You know the drill. Just send them in one at a time.”
“Alright, my Queen,” Howard grinned, walking off stage, Maya taking care to avoid stepping on the step where she had lost her foot.
From where he had walked off stage, Howard hand walked himself back on stage. He was missing the entire lower half of his body, and straw was leaking out as he sat down in the middle of the floor, looking up at the door with a large eye on it.
The eye on the door became animated, the pupil looking around the room before focusing in on the scarecrow. It then looked up, and a beam of light shot out, forming an image in the air. The image grew clearer, and floating in midair lazily was a much more intimidating, exaggerated form of Maya as a Cyclops. She looked to be over eight feet tall, with four arms, large muscles and a horn like a unicorns situated on her forehead. Her pouffy dress had been replaced with an emerald green pelt. “Who dares disturb the Magical Queen of Oz?” She bellowed, her voice several tones deeper.
“My Queen,” the scarecrow said plainly, “I am part of the group that helped defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. During the battle I lost my legs. Would it be at possible for you to grant me a pair?”
The Cyclops seemed to contemplate this, looking at her hand lazily before announcing, “You did help bring about the end of an enemy of the state for several years. Alright, you wish shall be granted, however you’ll have to forgive the fact that they are female legs.”
“Of course, My Queen,” The scarecrow said, the vision disappearing from the air. With little warning the green doors opened, and with an amazing amount of poise, what were clearly Maya’s regular legs walked down the staircase (avoiding the glue step) and with some assistance attached themselves to the scarecrow. “Thank you so much my queen! I shall cherish this gift for eternity!” He shouted as he left off the stage.
Within moment, a metallic clone of Howard walked out. Just like his previous form, he was clearly missing something, namely his arms. Just like before, the door made a show of the eye on it moving, before projecting out a new image.
This time, the image was of Maya from the waist up, her dress having returned, but being made of a sleek looking emerald nylon that hugged her body that matched the tone of the emerald snakes on her head. “Who daresss disssturb the Magical Queen of Ozzz?” She hissed, her voice returning to its usual deepness.
“My Queen,” the scarecrow said robotically, “I am part of the group that helped defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. During the battle I lost my arms. Would it be at possible for you to grant me a pair?”
“Consssider it done,” The one-eyed gorgon replied, the image disappearing once again. When the doors opened, two large, emerald pythons slithered their way down the large steps, sticking their heads into the socket of Robo-Howard’s shoulders. Their tips split apart and their scales disappeared as they became a proper pair of arms that matched Maya’s original pair.
“Thank you so much my Queen.” Howard said robotically, “If I had a heart, I’m certain it would be beating right out of my chest.” Howard walked off the stage.
Much like the original movie that the performance was clearly inspired by, the last of the three to enter the room was the lion. Of course, unlike the original, Howard had decided the best way to go about doing this was by wearing a pair of Lion Pajamas. Unlike the previous two, the door’s eye didn’t bother with the little act, just going straight to shooting out the projection.
Once again, the parts of Maya that were present were made much larger in order to compensate for her lack of limbs. All that could be seen of the projection were of Maya’s impossibly large breast, contained in an emerald bikini top, and her head, which had Emerald Skin and devil horns sticking out of the top. “Let me guess. You’re part of the group that defeated the Wicked Witch of the West and need to take a part of my body to replace something you lost?”
“No,” Howard said, not even bothering to do a silly voice, “Is that what those two were here for? I just came here because I heard from a friend that if you ask the Queen of Oz to show you her breasts, you’ll be in for a surprise.”
“Oh really?” Maya asked, a wicked grin crossing her face, “And did they ever tell you what the surprise was?”
“No, but I imagine it was just the fact that you actually did show them.”
“Quite the contrary. The surprise is two giant boulders,” And as she said this, her large, slightly see through boobs popped off her chest, still completely covered in emerald Nylon as the left impacts in the steps. Howard screamed, and when the boulders hit the bottom step, they stopped, rotating quickly in the direction that he headed and chased after him.
Howard, wearing his wizard clothing once more, returned to the stage, and the great green doors opened. From the other side, and seemingly from no source of locomotion, Maya’s giant head pushed forwards through the door, her skin still dyed emerald green. “Are they all gone?” she asked, seemingly out of breath.
“They are, my Queen.”
“Excellent,” she sighed, “Because it’s going to take at least a week for me to regrow everything.”
“You truly give almost everything you have for this kingdom, oh mighty Queen of Oz,” Howard grinned, the curtains closing on the stage one final time.

Sendoff
Drake walked out from behind the curtain and announced, “Once again, let’s hear it for our lovely assistants everybody!” The whoops and hollers were deafening as Drake continues on, his microphone clearly making him hearable over the crowd, “It’s time for everyone’s least favorite part of the show, where we have to choose one of these wonderful assistants through our devices and send them home. Next week, only two lucky contestants can make it into our epic final competition, while the third one will sadly have to go home, slightly wiser, and with some gifts in their pockets. We wish all three girls the best of luck, and to all of you watching at home, Goodnight Everybody!”
Drake walked out and announced, “Let’s hear it again for our lovely assistants everyone!” The audience exploded into a frenzy of cheers, which Drake had to wait for to calm down enough so he could give his outro. Once they had, Drake announced, “It’s time for the worst part of the night once again. The part where you, the audience at home, must choose one of these lovely ladies and send them back home. You can choose using whatever criteria you wish, but you can only vote for one, so make sure it counts. We want to wish all of our contestants the best of luck in staying in this competition, and to all of you watching at home, Goodnight Everybody!”

& Question Corner &
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To Maya: “Centaur and Harpy heads are a handful whenever I do get them. With Centaur heads, they are either very prideful or flat out party girls. The former are too stubborn to admit that they look too human or too elvish. The later are nice to have around. Harpy heads are just annoying in general and we don't often have much. Though they do get along with the other annoying heads.” -Rei
Interesting! Although I wonder if it’s only the centaurs and harpies who are willing to have their heads removed that exhibit these traits. After all, I used to know a centauress back in middle school, and she seemed to be one of the more shy people in my class before she was transferred out to the dedicated centaur classes.
To Maya and Annette: “Aw, thanks girls! It means so much to me if you are willing to subscribe. Maybe share it with friends if they are interested since the little heads need some attention.” -Rei
Maya: Of course we will Rei. After all, your our friend now!
Annette: Yep! Friends support each other as best they can! Just like how you support us by giving us words of encouragement!
To Bernice: “About that... if you came to my shop. You'd be surprised with the amount of heads fit for the job. Though I'll do my best even if it risk the morale around here.” -Rei
Well, if it’s going to risk lowering the morale at your shop, I can always just cancel the appointment with the Ad Agency. I imagine it’d probably be better to just avoid the headaches and hassle.
To Nora: “Honestly, I cannot truly relate because I know my parents want the best for me but I was a moron before. Though they are glad that I am doing sort of well. With your father, I can understand the fear of a loved one being an assistant. There is a reason why I prefer to do acts where I do stuff to myself and my assistant just help me do that. Though my biggest regret is what happened to my own assistant Shirley who pretty much lost her body for good. Her head is still in my shop and helps me the best she can. Though it does work as a cautionary tale of the dangers of being an assistant.” -Rei
Oh wow! What happened to Shirley sounds absolutely awful! That’s why I’m planning on having Dad sign me up with the ISAG. That way, if something like losing my body forever were to happen, I’d be protected so that they could get me a proper replacement body right away.
To Sable: “Ah yes. I do understand. After seeing a bit of your past, you have my condolences.” -Isilynor
Thanks Izzy. I’m sorry that you had to find out from watching it on TV, but you don’t have to worry. The family my sisters and I have made will be a lot more supportive than the family that we left.
To Annette: “I figured as much though simply talking to Rocky will is the final step to determine the strength of your bonds. There is the ability to talk to his species, developing similar techniques for yourself, and so much more. Always remember that there is always more to learn.” -Isilynor
Oh don’t worry. The fact alone that Rocky and I have been together practically his whole life and he’s only now exhibiting these abilities is plenty of proof for me that we’ve still got a ton to learn.
To Howard: “I will be contacting people in the manufacturing industry shortly. In the mean time allow me to furnish replacement props for you they will have the proper enchantments already in place, if your daughter or any assistant has a compromised condition, the desired effect of cutting, vanishing, ectara, will not function, instead a blade will simply pass through as if it was never really there to begin with. If you agree, I'll see to it your choice of props will be delivered to you. You may specify any effect or effects you wish.” -Jacob Schutter.
While I greatly appreciate the offer, more than you probably realize, I sadly must decline your offer to replace my equipment on two accounts. Firstly, while I am certain the words that you say are genuine and that the equipment you’d provide would work as you describe, I cannot risk my daughter’s life on some experimental equipment from seemingly another age that makes promises that seem impossible based on the props that are available on the market.
Secondly is the fact that I have signed an agreement with the Props Manufacturer’s Union that requires all of the props I use to practice or knowingly be included as part of a show to be created by a ‘trusted props manufacturer’ in order to keep the intellectual property of my trick designs and the enchantments there-in. If I were to accept your kind gift, I would be in violation of this contract, and thus would not only lose out on the exclusivity of the tricks I design, but lose the trust of some of my manufacturing friends who I have known for years.
That being said, I once again wish you the best of luck in distributing your enchantments so that they may one day be commonplace within the industry. Hopefully they will take your words as the truth like I have.
