Saturday Night

Once again, the cameras panned around the rooftop stage, showing off the fact that all of the impossibly suspended seats were filled. Drake Bordignon stepped out from behind the curtain, and the audience began cheering.

After taking a few bow, Drake began, “Ladies and Gentlemen!” more cheers from the crowd, “Last week, we challenged these five beautiful assistants to design a performance relating to pop culture. Tonight, we will get to see how well that turned out.

But of course, before we can do that, we have to thank our wonderful celebrity judge: Kairi!” A spotlight shone down on a girl sitting in the front row, who stood up and took a bow. She was wearing a black dress, black gloves and several pearl necklaces. Her dark crimson hair was tied up in a bun, and she was wearing a pair of ridiculously large sunglasses, clearly dressing up as Audrie Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Drake continued on, “She’s been an absolutely amazing guest, and helped in brining a real sense of class to the hotel. We want to wish her the best of luck as we send her off tonight. Of course, not before she helps in providing some notes to the contestants.” The crowd cheered as Kairi sat back down.

“Now, without further delay,” Drake paused for dramatic effect, “Let’s get on to the show!”

The curtains slowly began to rise.

Sinopia’s Performance

“Ugh! It’s no use!” Howard said, as he slammed his pencil down on the drawing desk. He closed the sketchbook he had been working in, standing up and walking around the stage. “I just can’t come up with any good ideas for a new character!”

“Well… That’s not very nice to say!” the voice of Sinopia rang out. From in between the pages of the sketchbook, a gloved hand burst out, followed slowly by the rest of the flat girl it was attached to.

Sinopia looked like a caricature of herself. Her face was simply drawn, with cartoonish features surrounded by curly orange hair. Her limbs seemed unnaturally skinny, but were somehow managing to hold up her regular proportioned head, body, feet and gloved hands. She wore a poofy orange blouse. The only thing inhuman about her was a pair of large orange bunny ears that stuck out of her hair. “Am I not good enough for you?”

Howard stared wide-eyed at his cartoon came to life, “Am I dreaming? That’s the last time I try drawing at three AM.” He rubbed at his eyes, but the apparition would not go away.

“Let me ask you… If you were dreaming could I do this?” She reached under the hem of her dress, pulling out an impossibly large hammer with a pink skull and crossbones on it. She reared back, and slammed the hammer down hard, right onto Howard’s foot.

“Yeowch!” Howard shouted. His tongue extending outwards ridiculously long. He hopped around for a bit, clutching his foot, which was now as flat as Sinopia was. “You know, the whole feeling pain thing is definitely not something I would expect from a dream of mine, but the impossible FLATTENING OF MY FOOT is!” Howard held up his foot, showing it off to emphasize the magic.

“Alright, I’m sorry! Now we’re square for your rude comments,” Sinopia stored the impossibly large hammer back up the hem of her dress. “But you know, how hard would it be for you to make me a boyfriend or something?” Sinopia pulled out a carrot from the hem of her dress, and chewing on it.

“Look, I’d love to make you something, but right now I’m facing the world’s worst spat of artist’s block, and if I don’t come up with something by tomorrow morning to pitch to the execs, it’s going to be my head on the chopping block!”

“You mean like this?” Sinopia asked, reaching up and tugging her head off like it was nothing, continuing to chomp on her carrot as she carried her head under her arm like a football player.

“Yes! But I’m not a cartoon character, so it’s significantly more fatal for me!” Howard whined.

“Well then! Why don’t I solve both of our problems?” She reattached her head and walked over to Howard’s sketchbook picking it up.

“What do you mean by-“ Howard didn’t get to finish his sentence, as Sinopia slammed the sketchbook over his head, causing him to completely disappear. As she turned the book towards the audience, they could see the image of Howard on it, looking afraid.

“Now then,” Sinopia said, picking up a pencil, “What to add? What to add?” She looked like she had a bright idea, then began fervently drawing on the sketch book, using the eraser occasionally, before drawing something else down.

When she was complete, she kissed the sketchbook, saying “It’s beautiful!” before turning around and shaking the sketchbook until another cartoon-like character popped out.

It was still noticeably Howard Weiss, however he was now completely flat like Sinopia, had ridiculously muscular arms, and was wearing a matching pair of bunny ears on his head. “What did you do!?” he asked in horror.

“I solved both of our problems, watch!” She reached under her dress once more, pulling out a massive pair of scissors, and in a single snip, cut off Howard’s head, which bounced off the floor. “Now, I’ve solved your not being able to cut your head off problem, and you’ve solved my not having a boyfriend problem!”

“B-Boyfriend?” Howard said, picking up his head and looking over towards Sinopia, who’s face had transformed so that her now ridiculously oversized lips took over the entirety of her face.

“Come here lover boy!” She said, making smooching sounds.

Howard, like any rational person under this situation, screamed, jumped into the air, his feet moving impossibly fast, and ran through the wooden door of their fake office set, leaving a Howard shaped hole in it.

Sinopia turned towards the audience, smiled with her ridiculously large lips, and said, “That’s all folks,” The curtains falling once more.

Elise’s Performance

Elise ran onto the stage wearing what most people would consider a magician’s outfit. She was wearing knee high black boots, fishnet stockings, a white dress shirt, a red bowtie, and a black top hat.

Howard on the other hand looked mostly unchanged, well except for some minor things. He was wearing a brown suit instead of his standard black one, he had on a matching cape that clasped on via two large golden buttons, and his normally slicked back hair was instead tied up in a pony tail. “Ah. Zatanna. So glad you could make it.”

“Alright Doctor Gotham. Why exactly did you call me to this rooftop stage?”

“Why, my dear, to put on a show!” Doctor Gotham waved towards the crowd, who cheered, “As a magician yourself, I thought it only appropriate! I call this trick ‘The Death of Zatanna’!”

“Ezeerf!” Elise shouted, ice shooting out from her hands and blasting Doctor Gotham, who simply yawned.

“My dear, there’s no need for that. Sleep!” He stuck out his hand, purple waves emitting from it and hitting Elise in the face, who immediately fell unconscious.

Howard lifted Elise up, placing in her to a classic styled, saw in half illusion. “Oops, almost forgot!” He grinned, producing a roll of duct tape, which he placed over Elise’s lips. “Awaken!” he commanded.

Elise’s eyes opened up, and she began thrashing in the box that she was trapped in. “Now, now my dear. It would hardly be good form to open up with the murder. After all, I know about your penchant for performance. So I thought it would only be appropriate to give the audience a bit of a preamble.” Howard walked behind the stage pulling out a large metal saw, “Who’s interested in seeing me cut this superhero in half?”

The thunderous applause was enough for Howard to begin in gusto, making large, exaggerated strokes in order to complete the task. All the while, Elise was screaming bloody murder, her noises muffled by the duct tape on her mouth. When Howard had completed the sawing, he inserted two metal borders into the cut he had formed.

As Howard pulled the two boxes apart, the audience was relieved to see that there didn’t appear to be any blood coming out of the boxes. And, Elise had seemed to get over the shock of being cut in half, looking over at her legs in amusement. “Of course,” Howard grinned evilly, “What use would it be of cutting someone in half, if you didn’t prove that you had done so?”

He walked over to Elise’s legs, pulling off one of the boots (the entire knee high thing coming out of the small hole of the box rather easily), and began tickling the stockinged foot. While the laughs couldn’t be heard quite as clearly, it was still noticeable that Elise was laughing hysterically, her feet curling inwards from the tickling.

“I seem convinced,” Howard said, slipping the boot back on and putting the two boxes back together. He took out the two borders, and opened the boxes, Elise sitting up and immediately trying to pull off the duct tape still covering her lips. “Oh no you don’t! Sleep!” Howard commanded again, the assistant laying back down once again.

“Well. That was some good fun. I can see now why you do this for a living, but unfortunately, your time is just about up.” Howard snapped his fingers, and from offstage a large, black drill and a set of black stocks rolled themselves onstage. With relative ease, Howard lifted Elise up and affixed her to the stocks, tying a limb down to each corner, and placing the such that the drill would hit her square in the chest.

He started up the drill, which slowly began inching forwards, and then woke Elise up with the same command, “Awaken!” Elise looked squarely at the drill, and began screaming once more, pulling hard against the stocks. “I’m afraid, Zatanna, that this is truly the end. You see, this specially built obsidian drill and stocks are immune to your magic. There’s nothing you can do in order to save yourself from this one. So, as I am a rather generous man, I’m going to grant you the chance to say your final words!” He reached down, pulling off the duct tape from her mouth.

Elise grinned, knowing exactly what she was going to say, “secalp paws” and with a big puff of smoke, Elise suddenly found herself free, while Howard was now the one tied to the stocks. His body being ravaged by the drill.

Of course, despite the fact that he should have been bleeding profusely, Howard was instead simply smiling, the drill still working its way through his body. “Well. Congratulations Zatanna. I seemed to have underestimated you. This drill may destroy my body, but there’s no need to worry. I’ll be back soon, and then we’ll be able to do a wonderful second performance.” And as he finished his sentence, the rest of his body turned to dust, blown away by the wind.

With her win secured, Elise posed, before announcing, “Ylf!” and flew upwards, the curtain falling down when she was completely gone.

Sable’s Performance

Before the performance began, Howard stepped out from the curtain, “For the following performance, Sable has requested that she could work this part with a female magician, as it would be more appropriate that way. As such, Kairi has graciously offered to take my role during this act, and I shall be performing her duties.”

Drake stepped down off the stage, helping Kairi up on it, who quickly walked behind the curtain.

As the curtain rose up, the entire stage was decorated sort of like a classroom, and standing in the center of it were two woman dressed up in classic witches garb. Sable was wearing a short black dress with long black sleeves and black boots, a long pink belt around her waist and stripe of pink around the band of her witches hat. At some point, she had lengthened her hair, and dyed it brown. She was holding a white, pointed staff with several gemstones around the hilt, and a bit of a golden stripe towards the top. Additionally, her face had seemingly been magically altered, so that her facial features better matched those of the character she was representing.

Meanwhile, Kairi’s witch outfit was slightly more conservative, her dress extending pass her upper thighs thanks to a dark red extension that made it go to about her knees. Her witch’s hat was adorned with a crescent moon, and she was holding a magic want that closer resembled a toaster fork than it did a magic wand. She also had her hair lengthen and died blue, although it was tied up into a rather simple side ponytail, and she was wearing a pair of fake glasses and contacts that made her eyes look red.

“Okay Akko,” Kairi said, referencing the character that Sable was dressed up as from Little Witch Academia, “Today, we’re going to work on your performance skills.”

“But Professor Callistis!” Sable said, her voice also having been slightly altered in order to make it closer to what it sounded like in the dub of the show, “I thought you taught Astrology. What do you know about performance magic?”

“Probably more than you think,” Kairi grinned knowingly, “and besides, you were the one who said you wanted me to help tutor you how to grow up to be exactly like Shiny Chariot. So let’s begin with something easy, first. Why don’t you transform yourself into an animal, like Shiny Chariot does all the time.”

“Okay! Here I go!” She prepared her staff, before announcing, “Metamorphie Faciesse!” From her staff, a brilliant light green light shot out, floating up into the air before spinning around her. The light surrounded her body, and as her shape transformed, it was quite clear that something was amiss.

While she was much shorter, her clothes having disappeared being replaced by a fine coat of gray fur, she was still very much humanoid in appearance. A pair of two bunnies ears were on the top of her head, but she still also had a pair of human ears. “Um… Akko… did you mean to transform into a bunny?

“Yes!” Sable said defensively, “but… clearly it didn’t work out that well. Metamorphie Faciesse!” The light shot out again, and once again, Sable was transformed into a half human creature. The bunny ears had stuck around, but now her body had swelled up to easily twice of her proportions. Her arms and legs had thickened into more stump like apendages, and a large elephant nose had replace her normal one.

“Good attempt,” Kairi said, trying her best to hold back her laughter, “but I think you’re still thinking too human like. Focus on really becoming an animal.

“Metamorphie Faciesse!” Sable shouted in frustration, her form changed once more, as her body lengthened out, her arms and legs disappearing (causing her to drop her staff), her dress thankfully reappearing to cover her modesty. Her bunny ears and elephant nose were still present, but now she had a snake’s tongue to add to her weird look. “Ugh! Thissss isssssn’t working!”

Kairi cast a restoration spell, Sable’s form finally returning to normal. “Alright… How about we try something easier. Have you ever tried flattening yourself? It’s a bit like a transformation spell, but you only have to focus on becoming flat like a piece of paper. The incantation for it is Metamorphie Planie.”

“Alright,” Sable said with confidence, “I can do this! Metamorphie Planie!” The same green light shot out and circled Sable, and once again when it had disappeared, it was clear that something had gone wrong. Rather than being completely flat, Sable was now something of a human cube. On the front face, was her regular face, surrounded by her skin color. Kairi walked over and tilted her around, revealing that her top was made of hair, her other three sides looked like a flat rendition of her costume, while her bottom had two boot prints.

“Well… It was a good shot, but I think you’ve got one too many dimensions left over…”

Kairi recast the resoration spell, seeming visibly frustrated with her poor student, before she lit up, saying, “Alright! I’ve got one more idea, and I’m relatively certain there’s no way to mess this one up!” Kairi walked off stage and returned with a plain mirror. “It’s a separating spell. All you’re going to do is cut yourself in half, just like all those famous magic tricks. There’s not even any incantation involved. All you have to do is swing your wand, and imagine a beam of energy cutting you in two. Do you think you can handle that?”

Sable, who had looked like she was on the verge of tears after her last trick had botched, brightened up a little, saying, “I think so.” Sable took a deep breath, looking at herself in the mirror for a moment, before swinging her wand, a green beam shooting out, reflecting off the mirror, and making contact with her body.

The blast had some real force to it, sending Sable sprawling to the ground, successfully cut in half! The audience clapped, as Sable stood up, proclaiming, “I did it Professor!”

“You sure did!” Kairi smiled. Surprising both of them, Sable’s legs stood up and started running around the stage. “Um… Akko… Why are you running around like that?”  \Sable’s looks of joy turned to terror, as she turned and spotted her legs. “Professor… I’m not controlling them.”

Before either of them had a chance to react, the legs broke off in a run offstage, Kairi shouting, “Hey! Get back here,” and following them. Slowly Sable began hand walking her way shouting out, “Wait for me!” the curtains falling as she finally reached the edge.

Annette’s Performance

In stark contrast to the other performances that night, Annette was in relatively normal clothing. She was wearing a yellow tank top and blue booty shorts, a pair of red suspenders holding them up. She had died her hair a bright orange color, and it was cut rather short, a short side pony tail sticking straight out from the left side of her head. Howard, meanwhile, was wearing a lab coat. He was seated behind a table, three black balls resting on it, each one seeming to writhe around slightly.

     “Hello Professor Redwood!”

“Ah! Annette! So glad you could come! It’s not everyday that I have an adult start their pokémon journey! I didn’t have much time to set you up with the best pokemon, so I hope that you don’t mind the limited selection,” he gestured to the three black balls on the table, one of which had a yellow eye appear, and then quickly disappear.

“That’s alright. I don’t mind, as long as they’re good in fights. So what are they?” She walked over, picking one up, which Howard promptly snatched out of her hand.

“I’d be glad to show you. Go! Ditto!” Howard through the ball against the floor, the strange black orb opening up with a large toothy mouth, depositing a familiar looking pink slime on the floor before returning to its normal state.

The pink slime on the floor looked exactly like one would expect a pile of pink slime to look: formless and lumpy, although there seemed to be an attempt at two pudgy little appendages, and the creature had a face that looked like it was drawn by a child, simple button eyes and a straight line for a smile. “Ooh! It’s so cute!” Annette said, walking up and poking the blob.

Suddenly, the pink blob began to shift, the slime gaining color as the pokémon transformed into a perfect copy of Annette. That was, of course, except for the face, which gave the whole thing an uncanny effect, as the clone of Annette had button eyes, and the same single line smile. “Ditto!” The clone said, in an inhumanely high-pitched voice.

“Woah! Freaky!” Annette said, closely examining her clone.

“Yep, that’s the Transformation pokémon. Ditto has the ability to almost perfectly copy anything. The only downside is that it doesn’t seem able to do the face.”

“Well… it seems really cool,” Annette stuck a finger unnaturally into her clones face, reaching all the way to her knuckle before pulling it out, a bit of pink slime still on its tip. “But I think I should probably still look at the other two pokémon before I make a decision.”

“Of course. Ditto! Return!” He threw the little black ball once more at the Annette clone, the ball opening impossibly wide to swallow her in one bite. “This next one is known as the illusion fox pokémon. Go Zoroark!” Howard threw another little black ball, and after another regurgitation, another strange creature popped out.

The creature was standing on two legs, its black fur contrasting with it’s large red mane of hair. The audience wasn’t really able to get a good look at it, as suddenly the stage filled with a thick black puff of smoke. After the smoke had dissipated enough to be more like fog, it was clear that this pokémon had similarly changed into a clone of Annette. Unlike with Ditto, the clone was completely indistinguishable from Annette.

“Annette,” the clone said in a creepy voice, “I wouldn’t listen to the professor if I was you. He’s messing with things that no human was ever meant to mess with. If you’re not careful, you might be next!” The Annette clone reached up, and with little fanfare, detached her head, the body part floating of its own volition, as the clone began disassembling her body. The various body parts started hovering over towards the original Annette, the disembodied parts all somehow laughing at her, causing her to scream in fear.

“Alright, that’s enough of that. Zoroark! Return!” And just like that the illusion disappeared. Howard went to comfort Annette, asking, “Are you okay? Unfortunately Zoroark’s illusions can be quite realistic. But at the end of the day, it’s important to remember that they are just illusions.”

“I-I should be fine,” Annette said, “I don’t think I’m going to choose that one though. What about the last one?”

“Ooh! That one’s very special. I’m not sure what to call it yet because- Well… You’ll see. Go! Pokémon!” Howard threw the last of the pokéballs, revealing the last pokémon…

\Which was just Annette. She was wearing her standard assistant uniform: A black leotard and a black cowboy hat. “Oh thank God! You have to help me! He’s kept me trapped in there for days!”

“Wow! This one can talk?” Annette asked.

“Yep, that’s why it’s been so difficult to come up with a name. Normally they just only speak their own name.”

“I’ve told you before! I’m not a pokémon! I’m a real person!” The assistant Annette said.

“And she tells funny lies too!” Annette said, “You could call it, Valehdella, the lying pokémon.”

“Ooh. That sounds like a pretty good idea,” Howard said, rubbing his chin.

“Are either of you even listening to me?!” The cloned Annette said.

“Have you tried evolving it yet?” Annette asked.

“Well… I was going to save these rare candies for later,” Howard pulled out some blue candies from his pocket, “But you know… you’ve brought up a very interesting point. Alright Valehdella. Open wide!”

“No! I-“ The Annette clone didn’t have time to finish her sentence, as Howard shoved the candies into her mouth.

The Annette gagged, lurching suddenly as the candies began to take effect. Her body began glowing brightly, her skin bubbling as she began to alternate between two heights, one drastically smaller than herself the other drastically larger than herself. Eventually her form began to solidify, and her transformation was revealed.

Annette was now significantly more buff, her now had six arms, her bottom two equipped with feet rather than hands. She also had a second head, although the hair style on her second head was slightly different, so as to be able to tell the two apart. “Hu,” her first head said. “Manma,” her second head finished.

“Huh,” Howard said, “I guess evolution accidentally caused it to lose its ability to speak English. What a pity.”

“Wow! It’s amazing!” Annette said, “I think I’m going to pick that one for my journey!”

“Alright then,” Howard handed her the empty pokéballs, “You may do the honors then.

Annette squared up, throwing the black ball that was clearly a part of Rocky, and shouted, “Humanma! Return!” The black ball swallowed up her remaining clone with ease, and the curtains fell on a giddy Annette, ready to start her journey.

Maya’s Performance

“Good Evening, I’ll be your dungeon master for the night,” Howard said, he was sitting at a table in the background, a large folder with the words ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ protecting the table from view. “When we last left our heroine off, she was in the middle of attempting to open up an enchanted chest in a dungeon.” The scene began to shift, the floor and back curtain taking on a rocky sheen, as he described it. A treasure chest wheeled itself out, and Maya walked out on stage. She was wearing some plain leather armor, and her one large eye was fixated on the chest.

“I cast detect magic on the chest,” Maya explained calmly.

“You can sense that there is some magic on the chest that leads out of the room, but as the trail goes through the stone walls of the dungeon, you cannot actually detect its source. You also know that whatever spell this is, it most likely what is keeping the chest locked, and must be tied to some sort of creature.” As he described, this, a trail of blue dust expelled from the chest, leading towards the wall before disappearing.

“Okay, I’ll investigate the room next door,” Maya said, faking a walking motion as the chest wheeled itself off a door appearing before her, which she entered.

“When you walk into the room, you encounter large troll wielding an impossibly large sword,” as he described this, a wooden cutout of a large ogre rolled onto the stage, the artwork being rather impressive. “You can sense that the same aura that came off the chest is coming off of him! I’m going to need you to roll for initiative.”

Maya reached into her pocket, pulling out a small wooden dice, she rolled it against the floor, and when it finally landed on a side, the dice flew up, showing that she had landed on a ‘6’ before exploding into confetti.

“Alright…” Howard said, rolling some dice on his table, “Um… a nat 20, and… Alright, I’m going to need you to roll a D4 for how many limbs the ogre manages to cut off.”

Maya reached into her pocket, pulling out a four sided dice, and rolling it on the floor. Just like with the last one, after it had landed on the ground, it grew in size and displayed the resulting ‘4’ before exploding into confetti. “Just great,” Maya commented, sounding annoyed.

The troll cutout suddenly became animated, as it swung its cardboard sword twice, cutting off one of Maya’s arms with each swing, the offending limb flopping to the floor. He then swung the sword through her legs at about thigh level, effectively removing both of her legs. Thankfully, both times this happened no blood came out, but it looked a little uncomfortable as Maya did her best to support herself on the floor with her four stumps.

Maya blew her hair out of her face, “I cast Shadow Limbs!” from her various nubs, shadow like tendrils began to form. These tendrils began to weave together, until she once again had limbs. The limbs themselves seemed to be made of the same shadow-like material, and were significantly buffer than the limbs she had lost. The fingers of the new arms had claws at the end.

“I attack the ogre with Massive Shadow Strike!” Maya reared her clawed arms back, the shadows ballooning to over twice their normal size, as she slammed both of her hands down on the cardboard stand-in ogre, the ogre crumpling into a heap.

“With one blow, the witch Maya manages to slay the ogre. As the ogre dies, the aura that it had been giving off disappears. Perhaps the same will have happened to the chest?” Howard hinted at.

“Alright,” Maya said, “but before I leave, I put my cut-off limbs into my back of holding.” She walks over to her offending limbs, tickling her foot to prove that she could no long feel it, before somehow managing to stuff them into an impossibly small bag around her waist.

As Maya returned to the room with the treasure chest, the blue aura it had been giving off had disappeared completely. “I cast detect magic on the chest again,” Maya said.

“There is no more magic coming out of the chest. Looks like you suspicions that the monster had something to do with it were correct.”

“I open the magic chest and see what’s inside,” Maya said.

“Okay…” Howard paused to allow for Maya to perform her action, “Inside the chest, you find a singular golden lamp. An interesting feminine eye pattern printed on one side. What do you do?” Maya rotated the lamp, showing off the logo that she had seemed to adopt on all of the props she had designed.

“I try rubbing the lamp” Maya did so, and smoke started coming out of the top of the lamp.

“I’m going to need you to roll an intelligence saving throw…” Howard announced.

Maya fished out one more dice, giving it a roll. As it landed, her face filled with dread, as it flew up, revealing that the same eye design on the lamp had replaced the number one on her dice.

“Critical Failure,” Howard said, sounding disappointed, “The lamp you had picked up was a magic lamp, but unfortunately its genie had disappeared long ago. Sensing some magic within its new master the lamp decided that you would do well enough as the new genie.” The smoke from the lamp began to lift Maya up into the air, before beginning to suck back into the lamp, somehow managing to squeeze Maya long with it.

The lamp fell into the chest, which closed itself up, Howard stood up, a book in hand, as he read to the crowd, “And thus, our brave heroine came to an untimely end. The lamp having found its new genie, but would never find a new master for another thousand years. The End.” He closed the book, and the curtains fell.

To Howard: “Phew. Glad I cleared that up. I'm surprised about that loophole myself. I should really keep note of this if I ever get a chance to be a host for this show. Still looking for the application.” -Rei

I really should have known better in an industry filled with people willing to abuse contracts for their own personal gain. Of course, I never expected my amateur assistants to pull something like this though.

To Annette and the others: “I hope you don't get into too much trouble, I saw the footage, she could be a ghost or a very powerful entity, perhaps even a sorceress. Though you all have magic and Howard is very good at magic, be very careful when encountering her.” -@@James-MacCloude

Annette: “At this point, we’re going to just have to wait for the best time to ask Howard what exactly we saw. Although knowing him, I imagine he’d probably approach us about it first.
