The lower quality of the video and the slightly muffled audio indicated that the video was filmed on a phone, but at the very least it was filmed horizontally. The video currently just showed a plain white door to a college dorm room, several scraps of paper showing a variety of names underneath people from the first season of America's Next Great Assistant were stuck to the door. "Okay, on three," the female voice behind the phone said, flashing the camera over to two other people, one of whom was Asian, and the other was a pudgy, white girl. "One... Two... Three!" With a surge forwards, the door was opened, and the gang of girls ran into the room.

Inside the room was a rather simple college-style apartment layout, with an open floor plan where the kitchen seamlessly joined with the living room, and a hallway leading to four separate doorways. Sitting in the only couch in the room was an African-American girl typing away on her computer. Her brunette hair was up in a bun, was wearing blue-light lens glasses, and was wrapped up in a green blanket with a school logo on the front. Each of the two girls from earlier sat on either side of the blanketed girl, forcing her to sit up, the blanket sliding off and revealing a golden t-shirt with the same school logo on the front. The pudgy girl reached over, closing the laptop and moving it to a side table. "Bridgette? Carla? Lindsey? What's going on-" She wasn't able to complete her sentence, as the Asian girl sitting next to her reached up, pinching the corner of the girl's lips and peeling them off as though were they a sticker.

"Hey creators of America's Next Great Assistant. I'm sure you've already gotten a ton of audition videos for your second season, but if you haven't already selected the contestants you absolutely need to choose my roommate: Patricia Haynes!" The girl behind the camera announced.

A slit began to appear on Patricia's face where her mouth used to be, two plump lips forming quickly around it as it grew, Patricia saying, "Lindsey! Stop-" The Asian girl once again reached up, peeling off her lips once more, the pudgy girls reaching over and drawing an X over where her mouth used to be, a red X forming where she drew.

"Patricia won't admit it, but not only is she the smartest person I know when it comes to magic, it's entirely possible, based on some of the work that I've seen her do, that she might be one of the most magically competent people on the planet!"

Once again, a slit appeared, this time on Patricia's forehead, the lips managing to get out, "Lindsey! I don't want to-" Another rip, another X, and this time, the pudgy girl started chanting something in another language, her hands glowing red.

"Now, for all the amazing magic that Patricia knows, and despite the fact that I'm certain she can do literally anything she sets her mind to, she has one major problem. She's absolute trash when it comes to showing off her discoveries." Patricia gave an annoyed look, the skin of her face looking like it was bubbling, but no slits were forming. "Which is really the reason us, her roommates, are holding this intervention. You see, we want to get her onto the show so that she can finally, properly learn some tips on showmanship and help show off how truly amazing the stuff she can do is!"

Patricia's eyebrows arched upwards, as her voice seemed to echo out from the aether, "Lindsey! I've already told you before I don't want to be a magician's assistant! Why can't you..." It was the Asian girl's turn to start chanting things, her hands glowing blue as Patricia's voice faded away.

"That's right! You see, Patricia here is a Practical Magics major, but since she's so lousy at actually demoing her discoveries and explaining them to the average magic user, she has no jobs lined up for after College, nor any ways of paying to get her PhD, barring getting a magic scholarship, most of which require being good at performing! While this is pretty bad, it also means that she's completely free for filming this summer!" Patricia tried her best to stand up, but the Asian girl and pudgy girl reached one of their glowing arms out to hold her down. "And! If she wins, she can use the money to pay her way through Grad School, and use the year as an assistant as a much needed gap year."

Suddenly, from around Patricia a barrier of electricity extended outwards, her two captors finally letting go in order to maintain the spells they were casting, as Patricia finally stood up off the couch, her blanket fully falling off and revealing a pair of black short-shorts underneath, and she started to try to walk out of frame of the video.

"Because, we love you Patricia!" The voice behind the camera said, following her as she made her way towards the bedroom section of the apartment, "and we only want to help you improve! Remember Jill? She literally had no stage experience what-so-ever and now she one of the best known assistants in the business! Think about how easy it would be to get a scholarship if you even had a fraction of that stage presence! We can't actually make you compete on the show if you don't want to, so what do you want to say? Will you please do the show if they'd choose you? For us?!"

The chanting sounds stopped, Patricia stood at the front of her bedroom door for a long time, before she finally muttered, "I'll think about it..." before entering the door and locking it behind her.

The girl behind the camera, supposedly Lindsey, turned back towards the living room, the other two girls with looks on their face, as Lindsey said, "Well... That went better than expected!"
