Azure picked himself off the ground, “Ah, if it isn’t my father’s misguided crush. How are you doing? Still worried about that horrible Chronovirus?”
“*Hmph* For someone who’s apparently has some of my genes, you sure went down like a little bitch. You must have gotten that from your father’s side,” Sapphire snarked back.
“How dare you insult my father!” Azure said, tackling Sapphire to the ground. The two tussled on the ground for a bit (leaving both the group and the army of buff Sapphires to just stare at the strange scene before them), but eventually Azure got the upper hand, successfully sitting down on the much smaller prone body.. “Ha! I win- Whoa!” He celebrated, before being thrown off as Sapphire (in an impressive feet of strength, pushed herself off the ground, sending Azure tumbling once more. Just as Azure was about to stand up and tackle her yet again, Sapphire reached to her hip, pulling out a rather large and impressive knife. “Ha. Like that’s supposed to scare me. I am part clone after all,” Azure monologued, “all that knife’s going to do is tickle me a little bit.”
“Ah,” Sapphire said, a knowing look in her eye, “But it should scare you,” she turned the knife, pointing it towards her own heart.
The crowd of Sapphire guards gasped, as Azure just chuckled, “Well. I’m going to have to bite, because this just seems like the dumbest battle strategy I’ve ever seen.”
“Did Daddy dearest really not tell you? Looks like I’m in an even better bargaining place than I thought. Now, Guards! Back away from those kids” Sapphire said, her smile growing as she saw Azure get even more confused as his loyal army of Sapphire guards slowly backed away slowly from the college-aged kids (The ones carrying Veronica and Spencer's heads placed them on the ground and walked away).
“Guards! What are you doing! Get back in formation! And the rest of you! Do something about this suicidal maniac! C’mon! We were just about to win!” Azure barked orders, but all of the guards had completely stopped listening.
“Please Mistress Sapphire, don’t do anything too rash,” one of the Sapphire guards said to her, “We’ll do anything you ask of us, just please. Don’t do that.”
“Do what?! What are you braindead lackeys talking about?!” Azure continued to shout to no-one.
“Do you happen to know why your father made sure to put the original people he used to make his clones in stasis?” Sapphire asked, the knife hadn’t moved a single inch since she had pulled it out.
“Of course he did!.. It was in case he ever needed a base reference… or easier access to their genome… or something- Fine! Okay! He never told me. So what? It doesn’t really matter.”
“Well, you were kind of close that it has to do with genetics, but not of the host body, but of the Eternity Cell. You see, as everyone here has probably already realized, one of the things that makes Eternity Cells so unique is their ability to spread information from one another without necessarily being connected. However, the way in which this achieved was a pretty intuitive solution created by your Father. You see, Eternity Cells don’t actually spread information between one another, but rather, gain their information from the cell they are derived from on the host’s original body and act according to that. If that host cell dies, then the Eternity Cell dies as well."
“Wait, so what your saying is-“ Azure’s face had turned extremely pale.
“If I die, then I’m taking you and your entire army down with me,” Sapphire said, trying to make her voice sound gruff like an action movie star.
“B-but! You can’t do this! I was so close to winning- Ow!” Sapphire had pricked the tip of her index finger on the knife, causing Azure and all of the other Sapphires in the park to grab their thumbs in pain. “Alright! Alright! Fine! You win!” Azure said with all of the joy of a spoiled child who’s parents have finally stood up and taken away their favorite toy.
“Good. Now, what you’re going to do is you’re going to help my friends over there get back to normal, and then you are going to march yourselves back to one of the many storage facilities I know you have on this compound and freeze yourselves,” Sapphire ordered.
“Ha! And how are we going to do that since those two changed the passwords?” Azure said.
“Please, you and I both know that those systems have executive passwords that can’t be changed. Use those. And don’t think that I won’t be watching, I have an informant watching the security cameras just waiting to give me the word to end all of your unnatural lives.”

And then, several hours later, the gang was still in the Chronos Courtyard. The losers had been good to their word, using a variety of contraptions to either return stolen parts, remove unnatural parts, and grow back parts that had been lost before freezing themselves in the pods that had held a certain one-legged Sapphire (who was currently chowing down on some chicken in front of a large variety of security cameras) prisoner only a couple hours earlier. After getting some help from the old Sapphire who knew the park like the back of her hand, the group had successfully had the dome lowered, and were currently sitting down on the variety of benches in the courtyard, just staring as the stars went by.
“Wow! I can’t believe it’s over,” Echo’s clone said, snuggling up to the clone of Susan.
“You can say that twice,” The original Susan said, snuggling up to her own Echo, who after seeing how their clones were acting around one another, had finally confessed their feelings to one another, with much hollering and cheering from the rest of the group.
“Well, it’s not every day you get to have a conversation with yourself and not know what they’re going to say next,” Heather said.
“*Psh* You still believe that whole clone crap?” Lindsay said, souring the mood slightly, “I’m telling you, there’s no such thing as Eternity Cells, their clearly just nanobytes-“
“Shut up Lindsay!” Everyone in the group said, including Lindsay’s clone, who apologized for how dumb the original her was acting.
“Today might have been a total bust, but at least it proved one thing,” Veronica said.
“What’s that?” Spencer asked, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“That I have a great ass,” Veronica said, getting some laughs from the group. While they were laughing, she leaned in to Spencer saying, “That our relationship is clearly in a wonderful place right now,” Veronica returned the kiss Spencer had given her.

“Okay kids,” The original Sapphire walked in front of the group, drawing their attention away from the starry night sky. “So, I’ve been looking at the data collected by the super computer, and I think that I might be able to discover a way to make sure that we can get Eternity Cells to actually last for Eternity… or at least for the length of an average human,” excitement increased in the group, but Sapphire held a hand up, “Sadly, it’s going to take me all night to try and read the data, and there might not even be anything there, so I’m going to recommend that you all stay here for at least a couple more hours,” the mood turned slightly sour, before Sapphire continued, “However, after talking with the clone of me who’s stuck on the mascot’s body, her and I have whipped up a little something to tide you over for a bit, and then we’ve gotten some beds for after the show. So without further ado… I’d like the present the first, and potentially only Eternipark Light show!”
As Sapphire finished talking, the first rocket shot up into the sky, illuminating it with colored sparks. The show itself wasn’t all that amazing, it was mostly your standard fireworks show, with the occasional rocket that would launch their sparks in a pattern that looked vaguely like a certain clock themed mascot, but the surrealness of watching it with clones, not to mention the prior events of that day, made the show all the better.

It was surely a memory that would be engraved in their mind for the rest of their lives.
