“Okay,” the elderly Sapphire said, “so that’s the plan. Everyone understand?” The group nodded in agreement. “Great, so just give us five minutes and then you four can go through that tunnel I told you about.” Sapphire and the conjoined couple of Veronica and Spencer walked outside of the cabin, their phones synchronized with the rest of the group in order to make sure they knew when to enter the tunnels.
Sapphire turned towards the couple, saying, “I’m not sure if we’re going to make it out of this. But I need you both to promise me now that whatever happens, no matter how much hey might torture you, that you will not tell them about this shack. I can’t risk those two going back to that evil man.” Spencer and Veronica nodded their heads in agreement. “Great. Now let’s go make some noise.”

Sapphire, Spencer, and Veronica first walked to a wide open area in full view of a security camera (which Veronica waved towards cheekily) near one of the many restaurants. They began flipping over tables and chairs. It was a good thing that they were doing it to, as it gave Veronica and Spencer ample time to get used to controlling their new shared body (although there were still occasions when one of them would try to move towards something else, accidentally tugging on the other’s side of the body).

It was only a matter of time before some buff Sapphire guards appeared, ready to give chase. Spotting them (which was pretty easy with three heads on constant alert), the group began to run away. Spencer and Veronica found it pretty easy to run, as having two passages for air to travel to the same pair of lungs, they could recycle more air throughout, allowing their muscles to fatigue at a much slower rate than either of them had ever experienced.
Sapphire, on the other hand, had a mostly artificial body, so while she didn’t exactly get tired the same way she used to, she did get fatigued as the chase began to push past the first three minutes. Her mascot body was clearly not designed for intense movement, and she could feel the seams of her body loosening up. It also helped that, whatever internal system was acting as her lungs allowed her to also utilize the face on her clock body to breath.

However, time is a cruel mistress, and after running for almost ten to fifteen minutes straight, Sapphire’s age really hit her as she began to wheeze. She started to trail further and further behind from Veronica and Spencer, lessening the gap between her and their chasers, which had grown substantially from only a handful to around twenty clones. “Sapphire, I know you’re tired, but you have to keep running,” Veronica said, looking back at her.
“I… *huff* know!” Sapphire wheezed, speeding up slightly. However, this momentary increased exertion caused her concentration to suffer slightly. As she moved her right leg forward, her clownish mascot foot snagging on a tree root. The force of her pulling managed to rip the seams connecting the mascot leg to her main mascot body, the leg deflating as Sapphire crashed down to the ground, hard.
“Sapphire!” Veronica said, nearly causing her shared body with Spencer to fall to the ground as she tried to pivot to turn around. Thankfully, Spencer quickly picked up on what she was trying to do, and helped in turning their body around. They quickly crouched down next to Sapphire and helped her sit up, examining the damage that had occurred. The area where the mascot leg had been attached was completely sealed (the leg clearly stitched on over the general costume, once again emphasizing how Sapphire’s ridiculous mascot body was in fact designed as a body and not a costume), and there were a couple of scratches on her face that were quickly sealing themselves up.

“Can you stand up?” Veronica asked, extending her hand to help Sapphire up.
Sapphire grabbed it, trying to pull herself up, but as she stood up, a pain shot through her only remaining mascot leg, causing her to fall back down onto the ground, crying out “Ouch!”
“Where does it hurt?” Spencer asked, looking concerned.
   “I’m sorry guys… but… I think-“
“C’mon Sapphire, quit kidding around, we have to get you out of here,” Spencer insisted.
“I think. That It- it’s my time,” Sapphire sobbed, tears streaming down her face now, “Let’s be real here. I was going to dies soon anyway. T-They can’t do anything more to hurt me. You two still have a chance. Please, I beg you. Leave this old body alone and save yourselves.”
“We can’t just leave you after everything you’ve done for us!” Spencer said, already trying to get Sapphire up by wrapping her arm around his shoulder.
“No, please!” Sapphire insisted, “I’ll just slow you down.”
“C’mon Veronica! You have to help me on this. We can’t just leave her to die,” Spencer’s voice was very emotionally charged.

The buff Sapphires were getting closer. Veronica had to decide quickly.

    Make a Decision:
1.) Help Elderly Sapphire (Spencer and Veronica will be Captured + Punished)
2.) Leave Elderly Sapphire (Leaving her at the mercy of Eternity Cosmetics)
