The sign outside the ride said, ‘The Spine Ripper,’ and it was easily the scariest looking roller coaster in the entire park. The track and carts were painted jet black, and the first hill alone was easily tall enough to rival skyscrapers. There were several loops, multiple vertical drops, and even an indoor section where the track went into what looked to be a factory (complete with working smoke stacks) before continuing outside, through several more loops, before finally returning to the starting point.

“Really, Heather? You want to go on that ride?” Lindsay asked, a tinge of fear in her voice.
“What do you mean? It looks like it’s going to be a tone of fun!” Heather said. Susan had already begun walking through the line, however it was a time consuming process, as almost every corner involved her having to perform multi-point turns like a car in order to get their extended body around.
“Maybe if you’re insane. You know Sapphire recommended some much less extreme rides,” Lindsay shot back.
“But this was the only rollercoaster that we can fit on, and if I’m only going to get to ride one ride, I want it to be a rollercoaster,” Heather said.
“Whatever, it’s your funeral…” Lindsay joked, hoping it wouldn’t be true.

After way too many twists and turns, Heather and Susan reached the front of the line, where Sapphire was waiting, a series of rather large black rollercoaster carts waiting. “Hello ladies, welcome to ‘The Spine Ripper’. Would you like some help getting into your seats?” Sapphire asked.

After some adjusting of seats, extra seat belts and a removal of the safety bar (hence the need for additional seat belts), Heather and Susan were as safely strapped into the front cart of the rollercoaster that she was going to get in her current form. “Don’t worry, I’m relatively certain that you’re not going to fall out.” After Susan and Heather gave her a death glare, she continued, “Besides, if anything bad does happen, you signed the waivers, so we’re not legally liable.”
“Actually, I think I want to get off,” Susan said.
“Oh sure, let me just-“ Whatever Sapphire was going to said was not heard by Susan and Heather as she had pushed the button, sending the rollercoaster on its merry way up the massive first hill.

Much like all rollercoaster rides, the initial climb up the first hill is almost always the worst part. It dragged on for what felt like ages, and the near vertical climb was made much worse by the fact that the two girls had much more weight than they were used to, leading to a greater desire for gravity to keep them down. The height of the first climb was so ridiculously high, that by the time they reached the top of the first peak, Susan was beginning to feel short of breath (and this was with two sets of lungs). As they reached the summit, Heather was extremely tempted to try and reach her arm up, and if she had she would have found that she could have touched the great glass dome that was currently covering the entire park from the storm that was ranging outside. As they reached the peak, the carts stopped, precariously placed against the edge. Susan and Heather stayed absolutely still, fearful that any movement at all would cause the carts to go hurdling forwards.

Of course, that’s not how rollercoasters work and after what felt like minutes of dreadful expectations, the rollercoaster began hurtling towards the Earth at full speed. If Lindsay’s screams had been heard through the park, then their combined screams out of three mouths could probably be heard throughout the entire state. It’s a good thing that the two girls were strapped in so well, as the force alone from the cart exiting the first dip nearly crushed them. Thankfully though, after the first shocking drop, the girls found themselves enjoying the ride much more than they had expected. The loops were wonderful, the hills enjoyable, the spirals spectacular. However, as the ride went along, the carts were clearly losing speed, to the point that by the time the cart had reached the indoor section of the track, it was moving more a speed comparable to ‘It’s a Small World’ than a rollercoaster.

The indoor section of the ride perfectly matched the aesthetics the outside had, that being a factory. There were multiple saw blades, metal hooks, moving tracks, and rust as far as the eye could see. Instead of mood music or such, the only noises they could hear were the hum of the various moving pieces of metal, and the occasional sounds of a scream or a yell.

Of course, if this were a simple ride, it would not have been in this park, and although it was probably to be expected (given the name of the ride and all) but out from the side of the carts a large saw came whirring by, slicing through Susan/Heather at the waist, sending the upper half of their shared body hurtling to the floor. Their screams were nearly as loud as before, but luckily right before they were about to hit the floor, a mechanical hand descended from the ceiling, grabbing them right before they were about to hit the floor and saving them from certain death. Further down along the track, the track turned such that the carts were flipped so that their open ends faced the ground. The safety bars and seatbelts disengaged, sending the lower half of their body falling to the floor as well. Rather than being caught by a mechanical hand, the half safely landed onto a conveyor belt.

What followed was a series of further cuts, body placement redistribution and manhandling by non-human hands. Eventually though, after some serious mangling their body was reassembled as follows: The two sets of legs were connected such that the waists fed into each other (it kind of resembled a table made out of human body parts, but was completely capable of moving). Upon the center of this body, Susan’s head was placed, follow by Heather’s arm necks attached to the same fleshy connection on either side of Susan’s head. Finally, Heather’s extra arm (which was technically Susan’s, but controlled by Heather) was placed behind Susan’s head (which would make it less useful for Heather to use, but thankfully not block any of their views). They were placed back into the cart, where the seatbelts suddenly came alive, wrapping their new shared body up tightly. As the carts reached the edge of the inside portion of the ride, it suddenly launched the cart at full speed down the rest of the track. A few more loops and turns later, and their carts were returning back to where they had began its journey.

As they pulled in, Sapphire was eagerly standing there. “And here’s your spines!” Sapphire announced, handing Heather’s arm two bony spines (which they suspected were in fact their real spines).
“So, was it worth it?” Lindsay asked as Sapphire finished unstrapping the newly changed pair out of their cart.
“…Let’s just get to the medical tent as soon as possible,” Heather said, as Susan tried to awkwardly walk them in the proper direction.
