The massive gates opened up, revealing behind them a set of turnstiles and a large sign proclaiming the announcement of the world’s newest theme-park: Eternipark. The park boasted a large assortment of rides and attractions that would provide an experience that would “stick with you for eternity”. Tickets to the opening weeks of the park were relatively cheap, however the members of the group had pulled their funds together in order to afford the exclusive early-access pass, which allowed them to tour the park a day earlier than everyone else.

    As the group approached the turnstiles, they were greeted by a woman that looked about their age. She had fluorescent blue hair and eyes, which contrasted greatly with the red, flight attendant-esque uniform she was wearing that matched the parks colors. As she caught their eyes, she smiled and looked away, offering a weak, “H-hello, w-welcome to Eternipark, m-memories to last an eternity. My name is Sapphire, one of your hostesses. If you need anything from me, please d-don’t be afraid to ask.” She did her best to smile towards them, but quickly tilted her head away when she caught them staring. “T-tickets please.”

    As the group came forward with their tickets, she said, “Oh! Also, since this is an early-access visit, we’re going to need you to sign these waivers…” To each person she passed a waiver and a pen.

    Heather clicked her pen, but recoiled slightly, thinking ‘Ouch!’ as she pulled her finger away from the button. She examined her finger, but finding no marks, thought, ‘must have just been my imagination.’

    The group handed back their waiver, and Sapphire stepped aside, timidly proclaiming, ‘Enjoy your day!’ as they entered the park proper.

    Getting a view of the park in full, they were amazed at the grand scale of the park. Several acres surrounded by a large cement wall housed a ferris wheel, several rollercoasters (some metal, others made of wood), water rides (that were mostly not operating save for a select few, since it was still early Spring), carnival games, many different types of cuisines, gifts shops, live shows, you name it, this park probably had at least three different versions of it.

    “Well, I don’t know about you chumps, but me and Spencer are going to go and see if this place has a tunnel of love,” Veronica said, wrapping her arm around Spencer’s and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.

    “Really Spencer? I didn’t take you for the type who would ride such a ‘girly’ ride,” Susan teased.

    “Normally I wouldn’t be caught dead on one of those… but I promised Veronica that if they had one, we would go on it,” Spencer said, his cheeks flushing red.

    “Well, you losers can do whatever you want, I’m going to go see if there’s any good exclusive memorabilia at the gift shop that I can pawn off,” Lindsay said, readjusting her pink purse over her shoulder.

    “You do realize that you’re going to have to carry what you buy around all day if you do your shopping first,” Heather asked.

    “*Pshh* As if, most theme park nowadays will let you buy and then pick up your stuff on the way out,” Lindsay said, already walking away from the group.

    “Ooh! Wait up! I promised my mom I would pick her up something!” Susan said, running after her.

    “Well Echo,” Heather said, turning to her as Spencer and Veronica also began walking towards the large rides, “I was going to push my luck and see if I could win at some carnival games, if you wanted to join me?”

    Echo smiled at her, “Sure! I’ve always been rather lucky when it comes to carnival games. I once won one of those giant monkeys in third grade,” she said, the pair walking towards the midway.
