Lindsey threw Veronica the ground, and before the semi-human girl could get up, she stomped hard into her head, causing it to squish outwards in an inhuman manner and causing her body to go limp. Heather went up to comfort Lindsey, as she shook from the brutality of what she committed, calming her with, “Don’t worry, it’s over now…”
However, the two watched slightly in horror as her head began to reform, the dark blue splattering doing its best to return to its old form. Acting quickly, Heather scooped some of the goo from the reforming head up and began to apply it around the girl’s shoulder, ordering Lindsey to do the same with her legs. Once enough had been absorbed, the two girls made quick work in ‘disarming’ their former friend, leaving her as nothing more than a ghostly head on a torso, which they quickly strapped back into the bone chair. “Hey! Give those back!” the ghost head shouted, as they placed the limbs in the opposite corner of the room.
“Nah, But I think I have a better idea,” Lindsey said, making her way towards Veronica, and taking some more dark blue goo off the top of her head, swapped her mismatched arm with Heather’s mismatched arm, finally returning the arms to their proper owners
“Thanks,” Heather said, quickly grabbing Echo’s now empty head from the floor, “and, I’m sure Echo would be extremely happy to get this back.”
The two then left the room, Veronica shouting behind them, “Whatever! The ritual’s supposed to take place in a couple of minutes anyway, and there’s not way you’ll be able to save everyone before you get captured.”

Outside of the room, the two girls found themselves in a hallway… that looked exactly like very single other hallway in the underground facility that they’ve gone through. “Ugh… Just great, how are we going to find them and get out if every single hallway looks exactly the same,” Lindsey whined.
“Um… Ooh wait! I got an idea! Here! Hold Echo’s head,” Heather said, tossing it without looking towards Lindsey (who managed to catch it with little difficulty), and pulled out the history book once more. Quickly scanning through the pages, she came across what she had hoped to find: A map of the underground caves of the mansion!
“Oh wow! How did you know that was going to be there?” Lindsey asked, having adjusted Echo’s head, which she was now carrying like a rugby ball.
“I didn’t it was just a lucky guess. Now, it doesn’t exactly list the rooms, just the general shape and direction of the caves, but at the very least, we know where the entrance is.”
“Okay, well… Chances are they would want to put them as far away as possible from the entrance, so…” Lindsey started her finger on the entrance and began tracing through the caverns on the pages, “They should be… There!” Lindsey stopped her finger on a part of the cave that was perfectly circular, and by the contour map, was rather deep. “Which means, we should go… That way!” Lindsey said, pointing down the hallway and beginning to go down it in a large stride.
Heather quickly grabbed Lindsey, saying, “Hey wait, we have to go carefully, remember? There’s still guards trying to find us.”
Lindsey stuck out her tongue, “Fine spoil sport…”

The two girls snuck down the hallway, often coming to intersections where they had to sneak by some guards, but thankfully none of them seemed to notice them sneaking around. As they went deeper and deeper into the facility, the atmosphere seemed to worsen. There were constantly sounds of moaning or scratching behind the walls of the caves, although according to the map there should have been nothing behind them. Despite the hallways seeming exactly the same, it also appeared as though the lightbulbs were becoming less effective, eventually being replaced with torches later on down the hallway. “Wow… If they brought people down here they might actually be able to scare them,” Lindsey snickered, to which she got a light slap from Heather.

Eventually, the girls came across a door unlike any of the others they had come across thus far. The door was large and antique, the gold finish contrasting greatly with the dark red wood that made up the door. For the apparent importance of the door, it was a little surprising that there were absolutely no guards around. “Do you really think they could be holding them in here?” Lindsey asked.

“Well… Only one way to find out,” Heather said, slowly opening the door.

What do they find behind the door?
1.) They find their friends… and Scarlett
2.) They find a room with a large pit filled entirely with Red Slime
3.) The ritual, already in progress…
