Bernice’s head was stored relatively the same as Juliet’s body. The bell jar that covered her head was filled with water, and there were wires connecting her neck to the device that would transfer over her consciousness.
Plugging the device into the neck of his cloned body, Nate made quick work of pushing her consciousness out and back into her head. Bernice’s eyes opened as the clone’s body went limp. Two robots came along and carried away the two lifeless clone parts.
Despite being submerged in water, Bernice was breathing just fine.
“So, feel any different?” Nate asked.
“Nope, I feel just the same as I’ve felt all day.” She responded.
“That’s a good sign. The system I’ve got set up should be able to fix you while making sure you can return to this condition. I would be more worried if you did feel different.”
“Great, now get us out of here!”
Draining the two devices of liquid, Nate assisted Juliet out of her tank, and handed her Bernice. Juliet, sensing what to do, slowly placed Bernice down on her neck.
All three waited with bated breath to see whether her head would stick.
