The shower temperature was scalding, just the way Bernice liked it. Removing the towel that was covering her body, Bernice’s body entered the shower. She had left her head in the living room to watch some TV.

Focusing upon cleaning her mud-caked feet, Bernice’s body began reflecting upon how it was possible for the split consciousness that had occurred, and whether one of them was the original, or a copy of the other.

She clearly remembered the events up to her head slamming against the school bathroom wall … but her head did as well. Furthermore, she remembered having control of both her head and body just this morning … but so did her head. How was it possible for two similar consciousness to exist at the same time? Weren’t there rules against this sort of thing? Who’s personality would disappear if they ever managed to fix this mess?

She stepped out of the shower, covering her body with a towel and turning off the hot water. The entire process had took significantly less time thanks to not having to wash her hair. She was about to return to her head … when an idea for a great prank crossed her mind.
