“ *Pppttt* be careful where you stick that!” Bernice’s head commanded. Her body carefully finished applying the rest of her dark red lipstick.

In addition to her ability to see (despite not having a head), her body seemed to also be able to telepathically communicate with her previous head. ‘Well,’ Bernice’s body said telepathically, ‘if you would stop moving, I wouldn’t make such a big mess.’

Bernice’s head and body had decided to avoid any more shenanigans with other girls from their school (who had taken the revelation of their plural existence surprisingly well), and instead chose to stay in for some much needed self(ves?)-pampering.

“So…” Bernice’s head began as her body began applying mascara, “What’s it like having a new consciousness?”

‘That’s the thing… I don’t feel like I’m a new consciousness. When you got knocked out, I thought that my consciousness simply transferred to my body. I hope you’re not mad that I took over.’ The mascara had been applied, and her body began applying blush.

“Well, nothing I can do about it. We already tried reattaching. Remember?”

‘Yah…’ her body responded, bringing her former head in front of the mirror, ‘but at least we look nice.’
