The last thing Bernice remembered was her head being thrown, and a sense of darkness, yet somehow she was still able to see.
Penny and Jessica had ran up to where Bernice’s head was on the ground. ‘Why can’t I hear them?’ Bernice thought. ‘Wait … how can I still see when my head is over there?’. Bernice walked over to her head, pushing the two girls away. They were trying to tell her something, but their words fell upon the deaf.
Bernice looked at her head. This was one of the strangest out-of-body experiences she ever had. She nudged at her head with her foot to get a better look at her face. To her surprise, her head seemed perfectly fine, despite face planting into the bathroom wall. ‘I wonder …’ Bernice thought.
Testing her hypothesis, Bernice took an experimental step upon her head. She brought her other foot up, spreading her arms and balancing on her head. She shifted her feet, and saw Penny and Jessica staring in awe at her feet of balance.
Feeling more adventurous, Bernice attempted a jump on top of her head.
Hitting it at an awkward angle, she fell hard.
