Bernice was using all her concentration to try and maneuver her body around the top floor of her two-floor house that she shared with her grandparents. The occasional toe stubbing or elbow-hitting reminded her that she clearly did not know the house as well as she thought she did.
She had managed to get on new underwear and clothes, and was doing her best to get everything she needed for the school day in her backpack, which was difficult for a body with not head to do. Was this piece of paper her study guide or that doodle? In the end, it didn’t really matter, she had to get going soon. Her 5’ 6” body stuffed the remaining junk she felt around the room into her backpack, and began stumbling her way back to her room.
As her body re-entered her line of sight, glad that she had managed to grab jeans and a sweatshirt. No need to dress fancy for this test. ‘Well, this is it…’ Bernice thought. She grabbed her head, lifting it off the pillow. Carefully, she placed her head back upon her neck stump … Only for it to fall off again.
‘Crap.’
