I probably shouldn't have ignored that one piece of literature during my research which I dismissed as a horny bondage fiction.

I had such a crush on Lara when I played the Tomb Raider reboot. Between that and Remember Me, 2013 was a good year for cute videogame butts~
Aside from that obvious inspiration, shout-out to @uberis for their tomb series which also influenced this story.
