I learned after writing this that anomaly actually has a specific meaning in astronomy. Well... this is the other kind of anomaly!

This story was partly inspired by the scene in Interstellar where Anne Hathaway's hand goes all wiggly in the wormhole~ A slightly less happy ending though.
