Context: This is a short story written for Day 24 of Kinktober 2024 using the prompt words Lure and Net.
The galleon cut through the choppy water. Sea foam sprayed through the air, stinging the eyes. I dipped my tricorn hat and stood tall despite it, maintaining an air of dignity and authority in my position as ship captain.
My crew’s obedience always felt begrudging, since I was the only woman on board. I was granted the position thanks to my family owning the shipping company that this vessel belonged to. That was the same reason I wasn’t concerned about the men’s primal urges turning towards me. If the ship ever pulled into port without me safe and sound aboard it, heads would roll.
The spray splashed against the skin of my upper chest, dripping down the cleavage showing above my buttoned captain’s jacket. It irked me how much more revealing my uniform was than the male captain counterpart.
Five men struggled against the turmoil of the waves as they dragged the net aboard, loaded with a particularly large catch of fish. Although once they dropped and opened it on the main deck, it transpired that the bulk of the load was something else.
Everyone gathered round to inspect the pale body with wonder. It wasn’t human. Its top half was a fair, long-haired woman. Its bottom half was a large emerald-scaled fish tail.
“The legends, they’re true!”
“Aye no doubt. ‘Tis a siren for sure.”
“The uncharted islets ahead must be their abode. There’s no other land nearby.”
The crew was lively with excitement over this encounter with a genuine fantastical creature. Talk quickly turned to how and where we might find more of them.
The first-mate Percival spoke up. “You all seem to be forgetting a key detail of the legend. The siren’s song is a lure, so enchanting that no man can resist it. You would follow their tune to your likely death. We’re lucky this one isn’t alive.”
That quashed the enthusiasm. Their curiosity wasn’t something they were willing to risk their lives for. I agreed with that sentiment in general, but I was the captain. I wanted to hear for myself the supposed sweetest sound in the world. I deserved it. And I’d thought of a solution to do so safely.
“Percival, come with me. Summon the navigator as well. I have a new route in mind.”
The waves were calmer nearer the islets. A low mist hung over the area.
I stood on the main deck, my back pressed against the tough wood of the central ship mast. My arms were draped backwards, barely managing to reach together on the far side. The boatswain was putting his rigging skills to use to bind me to the mast.
“Tighter! I must to be unable to escape no matter how much I struggle.”
“Yes captain.”
I grunted as he undid the knot at my wrists then pulled my arms closer together. He re-tied them with a much stricter more intricate knot. His talent with ropes allowed him to craft ties that ruthlessly squeezed against my skin without being harmful. I ordered him not to hold back, to guarantee my safety in the upcoming mission.
We would be sailing as close as we could to the lands where the sirens likely dwelled. Soft wax had been distributed amongst the rest of the crew to be used as earplugs. They would continue sailing the ship at a slow pace, while I alone would be able to hear, listening out for the fabled voices.
The boatswain finished binding my feet. My booted-ankles were bound together, with a connected rope running around the base of the mast. He approached my front and began tugging a rope up under my breasts.
“Err what are you doing?”
“Securing your upper body captain. Otherwise you might be able to throw your weight about and loosen the other ropes.”
“I guess that makes sense... Make sure it’s tight then.”
“Yes captain~”
His reasoning was sound so I couldn’t really protest. He continued winding ropes around me, his hands grazing my chest several times. I had cast off the captain’s jacket before we started, leaving me in my white ruffled shirt. The ropes clamping above and below my breasts caused the shirt to slip dangerously close to leaving me exposed.
He finished with a rope around my waist that he ‘secured’ with an additional tight rope threaded between my legs. He claimed it was to prevent the horizontal rope from slipping up to my slimmer midsection. It had another hard-to-ignore effect on me.
“All done. Why don’t you test it out captain? To... make sure you’re really secure.”
“Alright then... Nngh. Mmh! Ahh. Nnnn!”
I writhed within the constraining fibres. I had surprisingly little freedom of movement, with my arms and feet well confined to their spots. It was mainly my upper body that had some wiggle room. My shoulders and bust shifted and shook.
“Ngahh!”
I gave up, panting. I was incredibly well restrained. I realised that everyone else had been still and silent the whole time, staring straight at me. My slender struggling body would have been an alluring sight, and my little grunts and moans were uncharacteristically girly for me. My face reddened.
“W... why haven’t you all inserted the earplugs yet? Use your senses men. We’re almost upon the location.”
They sluggishly returned back to their posts and duties. Every man took out two large wads of wax and plugged up each ear. Percival approached me, the last crewmember yet to insert his.
“I’m envious captain. You are likely about to experience something truly special.”
“Yes I am Percival. Now you return to your post as well.”
“I just had a thought. Since you may soon not be of sound mind, we should probably ensure you can’t give us any commands that might be detrimental to your wellbeing.”
“What are you talking about? You won’t be able to hear my commands anyway with your ears plu-mmmmmph!!”
Percival shoved a purple fabric right into my mouth. I couldn’t move enough to avoid it. The crewmen weren’t close enough to see and of course couldn’t hear.
“Forgive me for using your unwashed unmentionables for this. The crew have fallen behind on laundry duties under your constant demands. The consequences of being such a slave driver.”
I could taste the accumulated tang from wearing those panties for days. He brandished a long white cloth, the centre tied up into a massive knot. Before I could expel the dirty underwear, it entered my mouth, both securing and adding to its stuffing.
“Hmmnnnghhh!”
I growled at Percival. He plucked my captain’s hat off my head and placed it on his own mockingly. My blonde hair spilled down to my shoulders. I vowed he would spend the entire remainer of the journey swabbing the decks and doing the laundry himself for this transgression. But for now, I had no choice but to suffer this indignity.
Shortly after Percival plugged his ears, I heard something. An angelic melody, more emotionally stirring than anything I’d ever heard in my life. Another voice joined in, synchronising in harmony with the first, almost bringing me to tears.
The mist parted. An outcrop come into view. Sitting atop flower-beds were at least a dozen creatures. Sirens. Their youthful beauty was stunning. Their heavenly choir soothed all my aches from being so strictly bound and gagged. If anything the ropes now felt like a loving embrace.
They returned the gaze of me and the entire crew. They beckoned us closer, showing off their voluptuous naked upper bodies. The crew looked on with unblinking eyes, but the wax earplugs seemed to be effective since they were staying still. I on the other hand was not staying still at all.
I thrashed against the ropes with all my might. My wrists pulled painfully hard against the ropes tied behind the mast, but it held tight. My legs twitched as I attempted to kick and wriggle against the loop holdings them still, but it held tight. My shirt finally slipped off enough for my breasts to poke free, thrust forward as I pushed against the ropes around my torso. They too, held tight.
My constant moaning and shouting for release created enough spittle to soak the panty-gag and the knotted-cloth gag, with enough left over to dribble all over myself. My cries went unheard.
No action I could possibly take would let me escape the ropes, despite how achingly badly I wanted to. For I heard something deeper in the song.
I heard a revelation. The legends were a lie. The sirens would not lead me to death, but to eternal blissful life. To heaven on earth.
I heard an offer. Every siren would tend to my every need and desire. I would never be rejected, never be alone, never be unhappy.
I heard a promise. The giddy thrill of falling in love. The swell of emotion right before climax. The unconditional love of a soulmate. I felt it all, greater than ever before in my life.
It was all there for me. All I had to do was leave the ship and join the sirens. But I couldn’t. I was stuck.
Percival alone was able to avert his eyes from the sirens, distracted by my exposed bouncing bust. He was fascinated by the total transformation in my behaviour. He was so very curious...
“Ahh! I’m coming sweet beings!”
I was shocked to hear Percival’s voice cry out. He shoved past the crew, running towards the port side of the ship. He had removed his earplugs.
Two men were able to grab him and wrestle him to the deck.
“No! Let me go! I have to go to them!”
I understood him entirely.
Percival tried his utmost to break free but desire didn’t give him strength to resist two strong men. Instead he used his intellect. He wrenched an arm free and scratched at the ears of his subduers, grasping their earplugs and pulling them free.
The men stopped, released Percival and stood up, now hearing the divine melody themselves. More crew members noticed what was going on, and rushed over to keep the trio from leaving.
“Remove the earplugs!”
Percival’s idea rippled through the crowd in a chain-reaction. Every entranced man realised that the surest way to prevent their crewmates from holding them back was to ensure those men had the same goal. Men began lunging for their crewmates, pre-emptively removing them as an obstacle by removing their earplugs.
Percival was the first to make it over the side, splashing into the water below. Others followed like lemmings. It took little more than a minute for every person aboard the ship except me to be undeafened and free to follow the siren’s call.
This wasn’t fair. I was the captain. I should be free. I should be on that land. Not tied up alone and left longing.
I saw Percival clambering aboard the sirens’ rock in the distance just as the mist returned. The ship drifted on. The mesmerising haze slowly faded from my mind, and rational thoughts returned. I had to wonder, were those promises all lies? Or could they actually have been true?
Either way, the pleasure had been real. The hug of the ropes reminded me of that loving sensation. I squirmed against them, pumping my hips to tug against the crotchrope, trying to maintain that feeling as long as I could.
I hoped the tides would carry me to busier shipping lanes soon, so I might be found. It looked like I would be stuck to the mast for quite a while, pining for freedom and for the song.
