Lotte happily trotted along the path, her latex hooves scuffing up leaves beneath her, the steady weight of the cart straining against her shoulders. She’d lost track of how long she’d been pulling it, how long she’d been a blend of horse, snow leopard, and latex. All she could be sure of was that she should keep trotting. Occasionally, there’d be the flick of a whip against her back, a loud slap against her latex skin. Not painful, but enough to urge her onwards. She couldn’t quite see where she was — the blinders at either side of her face obscuring most of the forest around her — but she knew what was ahead: home, and the promise of warmth and rest. Not that she minded pulling the cart, it gave her a warm sense of fulfilment, but something at the back of her mind was yearning for a change.
Ahead, the familiar sight of the Rosewood Emporium came into view. This view wasn’t how most people saw it, not the traditional wooden storefront on any old street that Lotte had first wandered into. This was the real Emporium: a charming cottage nestled in a forest where the witch, Evie, made her home.
“Steady, girl,” Evie’s voice came from behind her. The witch pulled back on Lotte’s reins, tugging back at the bridle wrapped so tightly around her head it was a part of her, jerking the bit stuck in her mouth. Lotte came to a stop near the back door, the cart settling into place behind her, its weight finally relaxing from her body. Still blind to the world behind her, Lotte heard Evie stepping down, soft footsteps as she approached.
“Good girl,” she smiled, Lotte feeling a flush of pride, “but I think it’s time we get you out of this harness, don’t you?” Evie was already busying herself with removing the loops of leather hooking Lotte to the cart, unclipping them from the various rings adorning her latex-bound body. It left Lotte feeling a little restless, like she was without a purpose. The feeling soon vanished when Evie grabbed her by the reins again, gently pulling and leading her back inside.
“Now, let’s get you out of this…” Evie carefully reached out to Lotte’s face, fingers teasing under the straps of the harness, the same straps Lotte had found impossible to remove. With a warm tingle, the latex peeled from her face, leaving behind a strange feeling of relief, her tight bonds removed. The bit unhooked from her mouth, making Lotte gasp sharply, breathing in the cool air.
A wave of magic flowed over Lottes body, motes of light playing across her skin as the bridle’s magic was undone. Her face shrank back, the equine muzzle that dominated her vision relaxing into a svelte feline jaw. The straps and buckles of the harness covering her body withdrew, melting back into her fur, relaxing across her body. Her shoulders grew heavy as bone and muscle and skin awkwardly flowed out, her missing arms regrowing. She gingerly flexed her paws, a numb tingle running through them followed by a rush of heat as blood flowed back into her digits. Her legs were last to change, thighs shrinking, calves stretching as they shifted back to her former, feline proportions.
“Ah, it does feel good to have my arms back,” Lotte grinned, stretching them out either side of her, as if showing off, “and to be able to talk again,” she added with a wink.
Evie just stood and smirked. She was probably going to miss her ‘pony’. Maybe she’d just have to find another happy customer to try it with (or, she admitted privately, try it on herself).
Lotte took a few steps, equally grateful to have her previous legs back, pausing as she heard the quiet but unmistakable ‘clop’ with each step. She slowly looked down, as if she could will her feet to change back by the time she saw them, but there they were: not feline paws, not red high-heels, but gleaming black hooves.
The witch leant down, looking at Lotte’s hooves, their deep black shapes painfully obvious at the ends of Lotte’s leopard-like legs. If Evie had been in her human form, she’d probably be blushing deep red with embarrassment, “well that’s… odd.”
“Your customer’s aren’t normally left with the wrong body parts?” Lotte teased, enjoying the sight of the normally well-poised Evie trying to make sense of the lingering hooves.
“No… but then our customers don’t normally try on multiple items from the forbidden section,” Evie jabbed back, regaining some of her composure. “Most customers just try one thing, and are happy to leave with their new selves. Few stack up enchanted items on each other… It looks like the collar’s magic mixed with the bridles. You kept your, um, latex-clad new body while you were a horse, and now it looks like the hooves have stuck, too.”
”Okay, so… now what?” Lotte replied, turning her legs this way and that, “I mean, it’s an interesting fashion choice, but I was hoping to leave without any pony features.”
Evie stood in thought for a moment, mentally running through an inventory of her store.
“I could try to purge the enchantment, but I’d have to purge all the spell-” Evie stopped talking, seeing Lotte furiously shaking her head, not wanting to lose the latex-clad curves the collar had given her, “Okay, new plan: we try and reset the equine magic.”
The werewolf witch disappeared for a moment, weaving through the densely packed shelves of her store, with a familiarity no meandering customer could ever match. When she returned, she was carrying a saddle, or something close to it. Not brown leather, something rugged a cowboy might be proud to use until it broke, but a shape of gleaming white and gold. Something more for show, than any practical use.
“You’re joking…” Lotte’s eyes grew wide, taking it in.”
”Trust me,” Evie said, trying to project a confidence she didn’t really have, “this has a powerful enchantment of its own. If you wear this, transform, then change back… hopefully, that should then take the hooves with it.”
”And if it doesn’t?”
”We’ll burn that bridge when we come to it,” Evie didn’t wait for Lotte to protest, stepping behind her, wrapping the saddle around her back.
As soon as part of it brushed against Lotte’s latex torso, the saddle practically leapt onto her back, wide bands wrapping themselves around her waist, the gold buckle fastening itself, pulling the strap right. Lotte felt the full weight of the saddle pressing on her back, perfectly conforming to the shape of her body… or was it changing her to match itself? Despite the weight, there was something strangely comforting about the feel of it… a particular feature of the objects Evie sold that Lotte was getting unusually familiar with.
“Are you sure about this?” Lotte asked, trying to look back at the saddle, leaning forwards to try and balance the weight of it better on her body.
“Not really,” Evie added, now that it was too late for Lotte to protest, “but if it doesn’t work, it will hopefully let us know what will.
Lotte just huffed, rolling her eyes, and braced herself for the changes.
The enchantment started weaving its way through her body, flowing out from the saddle, working its magic on her torso. Her chest started to push outwards, her belly with it, losing the feminine curves as her whole torso began to barrel outwards. It was a shape more fitting for a carousel horse, she thought, though it seemed a shame to lose her new assets. Her gleaming breasts flattened out against her swelling chest, as if melting down across her body. The saddle still hugged tightly, that thick strap stretching only a little as her body expanded, and Lotte imagined it was almost a part of her… just as the collar had become.
Her skin started to change next. The collar had gifted her with latex clothes, as much a part of Lotte as her fur. Her torso was wrapped in purple, perfect for showing off her body, just translucent enough to show a hit of the leopard-pattern beneath. Now, it was fading, shifting from purple to pastel pink, the colour flowing across her body in rivers and whirls. She reached a hand down, pressing into the pink surface: it was hard and stiff, no longer easily squashing or creasing under her touch. It was tough, smooth, only slightly pliable as she breathed in and out.
Just as easily as her legs had turned from equine to feline (well, mostly feline), they began to change back . Her thighs started to shrink vertically, swelling out horizontally in response. Flesh warped, shifting, redistributing throughout her changing legs. Thighs grew thick and heavy, pressing against each other, mimicking the shape of a real horse. Her ass started to balloon behind her, the pastel-pink surface shining brilliantly in the lights of the Emporium. Lotte’s tail rose up, too, the purple-latex wrapping around its base shifting to brilliant gold to match the saddle. Once again, fur quickly grew longer and longer, the slender feline tail shifting into a brilliant cascade of teal-blue hair, swishing and flicking above her swelling rear. She couldn’t help but admire the shape of it, perfectly complementing the saddle on her back, and the carousel pony she realised she was becoming.
”You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”
”Just a little…”
Bones pulled, popped, legs adjusting to match her equine thighs. By now, her hooves seemed to fit perfectly with her changing body. Fur stiffened across her legs, flattening, smoothing and melting together, the same pastel-pink colour flowing down them. They shone brightly, skin becoming hard and stiff like her torso, making it difficult for Lotte to move them… then again, when exactly did you see a carousel pony galloping?
The same electric tingle, fur stiffening, the cool of polished skin crept across her shoulders. Lotte’s arms started to shift to match her legs: bulking up around her shoulders, swelling, as her forearms drew out, growing thinner. Her paws grew numb, her fingers pressing into each other, sticking together. They stretched out, drawn by some unseen force. Nails started to grow, turning jet black, spreading out into each other. She tried to flex them, move her changing digits, though now they were bound together. Even as the hoof grew larger on the outside, dominating the ends of her changing limbs, she felt the bones and muscles within her shifting, realigning, occasionally popping into place.
“At least this time I still have my arms,” Lotte thought to herself.
Lotte felt deeper groans and snaps in her torso, thighs shifting, shoulders adjusting, then her weight abruptly lurched forwards and down. She instinctively caught herself, new fore-hooves dropping down onto the cool floor, the heavy clop echoing around her. She became conscious of her weight, the extra bulk of her growing torso, now pressing down on her arms. Another couple of pops, and the tension in her body relaxed, locking her into her new, equine posture.
“This is… going to take some getting used to,” Lotte huffed, trying to crane her neck back to get a better look at her transformed body. Already her neck was beginning to ache, too, as surely the transformation was working its way upwards.
The ache grew, and a new tension with it, a stretching feeling through her spine. Lotte shook her head, trying to free the tension, feeling her neck jumping longer with each motion. She felt something along the back of it, too, a growing mane of teal-blue hair swishing this way and that, her pony tail (somewhat appropriately) unfurling to join with it.
She’d felt her head change to match a horse’s before, but this time everything seemed more intense, more powerful. Previously she’d been an upright, a blend of equine and feline, but this time she felt the equine magic was so much more intense. Maybe Evie was right, and this would ‘reset’ her… or keep her trapped as a pony, forever.
Her head grew. Mostly forwards, her jaw pushing out in short bursts, dragging her nose with it; but also outwards, growing thick and heavy on her swelling neck. For once she was grateful for the gleaming, polished skin creeping out its length - the same stiffness that made it difficult to move, now helping to support the weight of her expanding head.
Lotte’s vision shifted, more and more of the Emporium around her coming into view, as her eyes moved out to the sides of her head. Ears twitched, swivelling to catch the slightest sounds, migrating upwards to nestle either side of her mane. Ahead, new equine nostrils snorted, drawing in deep breaths to fill her expanding lungs, drawing in the scents of the Emporium around her. Teeth, her pointed cat-like teeth ill-suited to her growing mouth, started to shift, becoming wider, blunter at the back, more like spaces at the front. Perfect for chomping grass, though Lotte imagined (and hoped) she wouldn’t have need for them, soon.
Her body was now fully equine, if somewhat stylised. A gleaming shape of pastel pink, the polished surface of her body smoothing out her horse-like shape. Both sets of legs were finished with black hooves, the same gleaming latex as before, squashing slightly against the floor as they took the weight of Lotte’s enlarged body (even if she was just a pony).
Still, as a carousel pony, she did seem a little ‘underdressed’…
With a magical flourish, motes of light dancing in the air, the reins and trappings of a carousel horse flowed out from the saddle now firmly embedded into Lotte’s body. In brilliant gold, the straps and decorative loops wrapped themselves around Lotte’s transformed body, merging with it. The familiar tightness of a harness, crossing her body, the bridle wrapping itself around her head. There were no blinkers this time, leaving Lotte to see the world around her, but Lotte felt something firm and hard emerging in her mouth. The bit pushed its way through, nestling almost too perfectly in her mouth, merging with it. Straps pulled tighter still, and the bit settled fully into place.
A strange feeling of relaxation washed over Lotte. A pleasing sensation in her mind, putting her at ease. All the aches and pains of her transformed body washing away. Even the weight of her body, so keenly felt on her transformed arms, seemed to be disappearing - leaving a curious feeling of weightlessness throughout her body. A glowing column of golden light appeared above and below, running through her chest, lifting her gently into the air.
Lotte’s skin, previously just stiff but pliable, began to harden. She felt it creeping out from her chest, a stillness as her breathing slowed, then reaching out to her shoulders. Feeling herself freezing, she was determined to put herself into the right pose. Fore-legs forward, hind-legs back, imagining herself galloping through a field, leaping over a hedgerow…
The beam of gold turned solid, a pole metal twisted around and around itself now running through Lotte’s body. It held her securely, keeping her aloft, drifting up and down a little in a steady rise and fall.
Her head froze, too. Jaw feeling numb, the slight taste of plastic and metal in her mouth, as her lips sealed together, binding the bit inside her. Ears stopped twitching, her nostrils grew calm, and her eyes glazed over. Leaving Lotte with the calm satisfaction of being a carousel pony, to be seen and enjoyed, ridden around and around and around… It was almost sad there wasn’t a real carousel here for her to join, but as long as someone rode her, she’d be happy.
Evie stepped closer, running a hand across Lotte’s polished skin, finger brushing through the mane down her neck. It was remarkable how well her old hair colour complemented the pale pink of her transformed body. Another witch might have tried reversing the chant meant immediately, lifting the saddle off from Lotte’s body, and hope her equine form reversed herself. But Evie knew many enchantments wanted to be fully realised, their purpose fulfilled, before they gave up their magic.
Lotte felt hands gripping her pole, their grip firm and warm. The sudden weight of a rider, felt through her body even as she floated on air. The furred ass settling into her saddle. Hands picking up her reins, tugging on them, straining against her immobile head. Lotte might now have a carousel to ride around, but she could still be a good pony.
Acting with some new instinct, the pony set off ahead, rising and falling in steady time as she carried Evie forwards. The pair looped through the Emporium, around the stacks of shelves. Some part of Lotte’s mind might have been curious about their wares, the other secrets of the Emporium, but her thoughts were focused on being the perfect pony. She lost track of the number of times they’d circled, thoughts lost in the satisfaction of being ridden, until she felt another tug at her reins.
Lotte slowed, coming to a steady stop back where they’d started, still rising and falling slowly in mid-air.
“Good pony,” her rider said, dismounting, “I think it’s time to change you back… again…”
Lotte felt hands reaching around her saddle, pawed-fingers gripping under the edges at either side, lifting it up and off her back.
With a flourish of golden light, the changes across Lotte’s body worked to unravel themselves. The pole flashed brightly, then faded from view. The reins and straps unfurled, the bit fading from Lotte’s mouth as it opened once more, breathing in deeply. Lotte’s head pulled back, feline features returning, vision shifting back to look down at her hoofed fore-legs. The magic holding her aloft faded, dropping her gently to the ground, instinctively reaching out with her hooves before the changes drew back. The latex of her hooves seemed to flow back into her paws as digits spread out, catching her weight. Across her body, fur bristled as the polished pink surface faded away.
All except for her legs.
Lotte rose slowly, needing to get used to not just standing on 2 legs again, but actually moving them. Her heart sank a little as she looked down at the black latex of her hooves, now proudly on the ends of her pastel-pink legs.
“Okay,” Evie grimaced slightly, “let’s try something different…”
