“Ever wondered what it’s like?”
“Hm?” Lexi turned to her friend, watching her studying the dodgeball in her hand, turning it around. The two were sat up on the stands above the dodgeball court, waiting for the rest of their club to arrive. Somewhat restlessly, in Sam’s case.
“Being the ball, I mean?” she deftly flicked it up, the criss-cross pattern on the dodgeball blurring as it spun, catching it just as skillfully. “You know… flying through the air, spinning around, then WHAM! You smash into someone else’s face.” she slammed the ball into her other hand, the sound and shock reverberating through it, grinning all the while.
“I-” Lexi began, glancing between Sam and the dodgeball, “I guess I never really thought about it… but not really?” It was mostly the truth; Lexi had never wondered about being a dodgeball, but thinking now, there was a certain appeal to the strange sort of freedom it offered.
“Yeah, guess it is a bit weird,” Sam replied, leaning back against the stands, setting the ball beside her, “still, I kinda wish I could see what it’s like…”
A shiver spread across Sam’s skin, just for a moment, the tingle of goosebumps rising on her arms. Hairs stood on end, fading, vanishing into nothing. A faint blush soon followed, the rush of blood tinting her skin red, as the goosebumps continued to rise. Her skin toughened slightly, closer to leather, as her body began to change.
Lexi rolled her eyes, “Don’t you have enough experience slamming into things already?” She leaned over, giving Sam a playful punch in the shoulder, instantly regretting it as her knuckles scraped across something rough and hard.
Sam barely felt anything, looking over as her friend made a gasp of pain and surprise, “Er, you okay?”
“Don’t worry about me,” Lexi replied, concern clear in her voice, “what’s up with your skin?”
“What do yo—” Sam’s own reply was cut short as she glanced down, seeing what looked like a red rash across her shoulder. She reached with her other hand, rubbing her fingers carefully across it, feeling the strangely familiar sensation of textured rubber under her fingertips. “Is it just me, or does that look like—”
“A dodgeball, yeah…” Lexi slowly reached out, more gently touching Sam’s changing skin. It grew a deeper red as she watched, the colour and texture running down the length of her arm, spreading over her shoulder. What first looked like goosebumps started to stretch, each drawing out to form a criss-cross pattern of lines. Perfect for extra grip…
Sam shifted slightly on the bench, growing uncomfortable, almost restless as the transformation spread through her body. By now, Sam could feel her insides beginning to change. A growing pressure deep within her body, pushing outwards, starting to strain against her skin. Her ass shifted, swelling slightly beneath her. Her shorts grew tight around her body as her rear grew, inflating like a balloon. Fabric rubbed against rough skin, bunching up towards her waist her thighs swelled out to match her inflating ass.
“God, this feels…” the words caught in Sam’s mouth, feeling a strange warmth and pleasure in her body as her rear continued to grow. Air was filling her, faster and faster, the ever-increasing pressure forcing more of her body to expand, to change, transforming her body more with each passing moment. Sam stood, feeling her thighs brushing against each other, the thrill and warmth of friction as they did. Her rubber skin stretched, resisting the movement, groaning slightly as her changing body flexed. She looked back, eyes wide as she saw her growing ass, swelling to sizes that would put any model to shame. If she didn’t know it was her own transforming body, she might’ve sworn someone had stuffed a pair of dodgeballs into her shorts.
Sam slapped her ass, the familiar PANG! sound of a dodgeball echoing in the empty room. She felt the vibrations running across her rubber skin, bouncing back and forth inside her. I’m hollow? The thought echoed in her mind. It made sense, of course. The way her body was changing, skin turning to the rubber surface of a dodgeball, the swelling in her rear, that growing pressure inside her that even now was squashing her expanding thighs together. The air was filling her, stretching her out wider and rounder, pushing her rubber skin out to its limit as her insides faded away. Maybe it should have scared her, but all Sam could do was grin.
Lexi was a little more concerned, watching her friend clutching that impossibly-round ass. Sam’s fingers tensed, pressing into what should have been soft flesh. Instead of squashing, deforming around each finger her entire rear squeezed and bulged as the expanding rubber tried to keep its shape.
“Sam, you look-”
“Fantastic?” Sam interrupted, still grinning as she turned this way and that, admiring her growing shape. Her ass continued to push outwards, cheeks squishing together. The pressure inside her only grew, the air inside Sam straining against the limits of her human shape. A thought emerged at the edge of Sam’s mind, the idea that her body was holding her back, that there was something inside her yearning to be free.
“I was going to say, er” Lexi struggled to think just what she was going to say. No word seemed appropriate for watching your friend gradually transform into a dodgeball. “... round.”
“Not round enough,” Sam half-said, half-gasped, her chest rising and falling. With all the air filling her body, her lungs seemed almost superfluous now. They were pressed outwards like the rest of her insides, shrinking down as they forced her chest further outwards. Her slight breasts stretched out across her expanding chest, not swelling like her ass, but flattening out against them as her whole torso grew rounder. The artificial skin was spreading to her face, lips stiffening, the taste of rubber filling her mouth.
It was as if her entire body was being simplified, reduced down to the basic curves of a ball. Her inflated ass dominated her body, easily twice as wide as the rest of her, and still growing. The occasional snap of stretching rubber or tearing fabric punctuated the air as her ass continued to expand. Her clothes were stretching to their limits, lycra shorts pulled out thin across her thighs. Another surge of growth, and the fabric finally split along its sides, now little more than a waistband wrapped around an ever-expanding waist.
“This is incredible…” Sam spoke, voice quiet, her whole mouth subtly vibrating as rubber replaced vocal cords. Given how pleasurable her changing body was, the strange sensation of her throat swelling and sealing was easy to ignore.
Ass cheeks continued to expand, pressing into each other. Heat filled her rear, skin rubbing and fusing, melting into one. Tension grew then abruptly released, the snap of her butt expanding sending shockwaves through Sam’s body. Free of the limitations of her human shape, Sam’s rear had pushed out into an almost perfectly round hemisphere. The rest of her body was dwarfed by it, her torso awkwardly placed on top, swollen thighs tapering the narrow legs below.
Sam felt giddy, lightheaded, the shockwaves of the change bringing the most intense pleasure she’d ever felt. She couldn’t help but moan, clutching her changing body, the stiff rubber barely yielding under her touch. Every inch of her was sensitive, the texture of her rubber skin picking up the slightest motion across its surface. Her whole body was taut, the tension of her stretchy skin against the air inside her amplifying the vibrations, carrying them through her body.
“You’ve got to try this-” Sam squeaked, looking at Lexi, who’s expression was definitely not one of someone who wanted to try being a dodgeball.
Across her body, Sam’s skin tensed up. As the wish’s magic continued its work through her body, a battle was being fought between the air filling her pushing out, her rubber skin pulling tight, and her human shape. With more of her transformed, her ass swollen behind her, Sam’s human shape was losing.
All Lexi would do was watch as her friend started to shrink, what was left of her human self pulling tight around the ball her ass had become. At first glance, it seemed like Sam’s thighs had been continuing to swell and expand, but Lexi quickly realised they were simply flattening out, lost in the curve of Sam’s body. Sam stumbled, losing her balance, legs stiffening as they shrank. If her ass hadn’t wedged itself between a couple of benches, she’d have probably found herself tumbling down the stands.
With her legs flattened almost to nothing, her torso soon followed. It seemed to melt down, pooling around the surface of her spherical body, dragging her arms and breasts with it. Yet still Sam had that same smile across her face, loving every moment of warping into the spherical dodgeball. Maybe it was just the magic playing with her mind, or the way the tension across her body relaxed as her body became rounder, or perhaps it was the growing anticipation of being thrown by her friend, straight into the faces of the enemy team…
As the last of Sam’s face shrank into her body, face flattening across the rubber surface, her spherical body shook and shivered, quickly shrinking down to regulation dodgeball size. Lexi stepped forward as Sam’s shrunken body popped free from the stands, quickly grabbing hold before Sam tumbled away.
For a brief moment, Sam felt weightless, completely free, before Lexi’s hands grabbed either side of her. She could feel the slight warmth of Lexi’s skin. Fingers brushing across Sam’s textured surface as she adjusted her grip. The slight squeeze against her body, the way her rubber skin flexed and stretched, deforming her shape to balance the pressure.
“Sam? Sam!” Lexi panicked, turning the dodgeball over, looking for any sign her friend was still there, breathing a sigh of relief as cartoon eyes spun into view. Sam’s face had been flattened, simplified, changed to suit the dodgeball she’d become. Printed onto her rubber skin were a pair of wide, cartoonish eyes, the slight curve of a nose, and that same goofy grin she’d had while she changed. The eyes blinked, for a moment disappearing completely from her skin, then opening again, the print shifting as Sam focussed her attention on Lexi.
“Relax, I’m okay!” Sam said, the mouth-print moving in time with the words, her whole body vibrating slightly in Lexi’s hands.
“How can you possibly be okay?” By now, the other players were making their way into the court, stretching, making a few test throws, psyching each other out. No-one was paying attention to Lexi talking to herself up in the stands.
“Well, I got my wish, didn’t I?” the dodgeball smirked. Lexi couldn’t be sure what was weirder: Sam’s miraculous transformation, or how happy she was with it. Still, if she was enjoying herself, what was the harm…?
“Not quite,” Lexi smirked, deftly flicking the dodgeball into the air, letting Sam experience a dizzying twirl, “I’ve got to throw you into someone’s face, first.”
“You’re on,” the dodgeball smirked. With her in Lexi’s hands, there was no way they could lose…
Still, with their star player mysteriously missing, the match got off to a rough start. Lexi’s throws were good, but in the chaos of the game she’d soon lost track of Sam. Half-way through, something started to shift. Balls that should have hit her team fell short, and balls that should have missed the opposing team swerved at the final moment. Though even with this turn of fortune, it wasn’t long before Lexi was left alone on her team, facing the last opponent. Both were tired, sweating, but laser focused on each other. This was it.
Lexi reached down, deftly picking up a ball. Keeping herself light on her feet, she adjusted her grip, holding it close. A flicker of movement caught her eye. Looking down, Lexi saw another pair of eyes looking back. The dodgeball winked, Sam’s printed eye disappearing from the surface, just for a moment. Lexi grinned, and a printed smile grinned back. With Sam in her hands, they couldn’t lose.
A quick step right. Lexi squeezed Sam tight with her right hand. Sam felt the warmth of Lexi’s hands, the grip of her fingers digging into the ridges criss-crossing Sam’s body. Her body flexed, feeling tension growing in her skin as air once again pushed out against squashed rubber. Lexi’s arm moved back, a lurching feeling in Sam’s body as she was carried with it. Another squeeze. A moment to aim. Then throw.
Sam was launched across the court, feeling the rush of air playing across her textured surface. Knowing the mechanics of spin was one thing, experiencing them was another, and Sam loved it… almost as much as she loved what followed. The court spun around her, catching glimpses of their opponent taking a sudden step to the left.
Behind her, Lexi’s heart skipped a beat, watching Sam sailing to exactly where their opponent wasn’t.
The dodgeball curved. A minor shift in her body, a nudge in her centre of gravity, tilting her spin to catch the air just so, and Sam curved right towards her target.
Sam braced herself.
A smile crept across Lexi’s face.
PANG!
All of Sam’s momentum was quickly and violently delivered into the unlucky body of her opponent. She felt herself deform, stiff rubber powerless against the laws of physics, for a brief instant wrapping almost perfectly around her target’s body. Pressure grew, skin stretching, that same almost-painful feeling of tension before the pleasure of release as she rebounded backwards. Arching into the air, slamming into the solid ground, then back into Lexi’s hands as the whistle blew.
“You know,” Lexi said, as soon as she caught her breath, “I think you make a good dodgeball…”
