Natalie needed a new job. She was trying to work her way through college, but the place she had been working at closed down. She saw an ad for a couple of local magicians who happened to identical twins. Their names were Bob & Rob. She went to a tryout and got the job, but the first show was that night, so they didn't have much time to practice.

That night, Natalie was anxiously waiting to go on stage.

"Nervous?" A voice behind her asked.

Natalie turned to see Ann standing there. The lovely blonde was a veteran magician's assistant who had been doing this for years.

"A little. It would've been nice if we hadn't had to cut rehearsal short. We never even got to practice the last trick" She replied.

"Don't worry, you'll do great." Ann replied.

"I hope you're right" Natalie replied.

With that, their cue came to go on stage.

The show went off without a hitch, despite Natalie's sweaty palms. The time came for the final act. Two stage hands wheeled out a couple of thin model sawing boxes with a smiling Ann and Natalie sitting on them. Ann's box was red, while Natalie's box was blue. Ann had on shiny red hot pants, while Natalie wore shiny blue hot pants. Each wore a matching top that showed off their midriffs, and a little bit of cleavage.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it was 100 years ago today that the great P.T. Selbit sawed a woman in half for the first time in public, changing magic forever." Bob said

"To celebrate that historic occasion we figured what could be better than sawing a woman in half, but sawing two women in half." Rob said.

Bob walked over to Ann, while Rob walked over to Natalie. The magicans picked up Ann & Natalie off of the boxes, and set them on the ground. They opened the lids, and helped Ann & Natalie climb in-- Ann in the red box and Natalie in the blue box. The two assistants laid down and the magicians closed the lids. They then placed stocks around their assistants ankles and necks. Natalie's anxiety only got worse as she realized that she couldn't pull her feet in. Ann on the other hand didn't seem too worried.

The magicians each had a large hand saw and proceeded to saw their assistants in half. Natalie felt a brief little bit of pain as the saw tore into her bare waist, but it didn't last very long. Ann handled it like a pro.

The saws met some resistance as they cut through their spines, but after a few seconds it was done.

The magicans then grabbed a couple of steel blades, and put them into the boxes and their now divided assistants waists. The first ones went in fine, but the second ones got stuck about halfway down. The magicians walked over and gently pulled on their assistants heads, causing the blades to drop in place.

The magicians then opened the side doors of the boxes, so that the audience could see inside the boxes. Ann & Natalie stuck their arms outside the boxes.  The magicians undid the latches and pulled the two halves apart. The audience applauded.

Rob & Bob both gave their assistants feet a little tickle to prove that they were real. Ann & Natalie both laughed.

Rob then walked over to Bob and whispered something in his ear. Bob smiled and nodded in response. Rob grabbed Natalie's top half and took it over to Ann's bottom half, while Bob grabbed Ann's top half and took it over to Natalie's bottom half.

They fastened the latches connecting the two halves, and removed the blades. They removed the neck and ankle stocks, opened the lids, and helped Ann & Natalie out of the boxes. The audience applauded.

When Ann & Natalie got out of the boxes, the looked down and noticed that they had each other's bottom halves. They put their hands on their hips and gave the magicians a mock look of disgust.

"Thank you, all for coming!" The magicians said to the audience.

They all took a bow, while the audience applauded again. They all walked off stage.

Natalie was looking at her new legs when Ann walked over.

"Something wrong?" Ann asked.

"No... nothing's wrong... I mean you have great legs and all... I was just wondering when they were going to swap our lower halves back." Natalie replied.

"They usually do it during the next show. It's easier that way." Ann replied.

"So we'll be keeping each other's lower halves until tomorrow night?" Natalie asked.

"Yes. Thankfully, you have great legs." Ann replied.

Natalie blushed.

"You did a great job tonight, Natalie. I think you're going to make a great assistant." Ann said.

"Thanks. That means a lot coming from you." Natalie replied.

"Here, you're going to be needing these." Ann said as she handed Natalie her shoes.

"Thanks." Natalie replied.

"Take good care of my legs." Ann said.

"I will, and you take good care of mine." Natalie replied.

With that, they both went home.
