It had been a long week for Jenny, she had been researching the maid-bots programming and had found a special part of code, which would replace certain parts of the maid-bots base programming. The trouble with this, would be that it would void their warranty on the maid-bot, and Jenny wasn’t even sure if it would even actually work.

The new code basically allowed the maid-bot to send a dummy response to the house control system, making it believe the maid-bot was doing what was required. But in reality the maid-bot would be able to have a little bit of freedom before doing the assigned task.

Jenny wanted to see what their mod bot would do once the new code was uploaded and then given a task, to see how it would work. Jenny would  have to back up the maid-bots base program so it could be changed back if it didn’t work, then install the updated version with the new lines of code. Then she could test it to see if it worked or not. But if it worked, it would allow her, when she tried to transfer her mind into the maid-bot, to be able to get back to the room in the basement to transfer her mind back to her body without the house control system stopping her.

What Jenny wanted to do, was just try a simple hour long test, to start with. Then increase the duration of the transfer to see if there was any difference in how her mind would be able to cope in the maid-bots body...
