Setup
Shuffle the deck then place it face down in the center of the table. Draw five cards and, without looking at them, place them face down next to the deck. This will be the hand. Choose a player to go first. This player can pick up the hand and start their first turn.

Turns
Each turn has three phases.
Draw
Draw a card and add it to the hand. You may look at the cards in the hand.
Play
Choose a card from your hand to play, follow the instructions on the card.
End
Pass the hand to the player on your right.

Goal
Be the last player standing. A player is eliminated when they have collected a number of change cards depending on the number of players. Change cards attached to other change cards still count towards this number. Repeat change cards or change cards of the same type do not count towards this number. Ex. Feline legs & Lizard legs.

2-3 players 5 cards
4 players 4 cards
5-6 players 3 cards
7+ players 2 cards

Editing the deck
Cards can be added or removed outside of a game. If a player doesn't want to have the head of a horse, but is fine being made out of wood, feel free to make those changes. This game is meant for entertainment purposes, so if a card does not suit that goal, take it out. In the final print, some make-your-own cards will also be included.

Action/whatever cards

Swift (1)
Draw two and immediately play them.

Play 2, draw 2 (1)
Play two extra cards, then draw two additional cards.

Revert (2)
Remove a change card from any player and place it in the discard pile.

Mix it up (2)
Choose two players, shuffle their change cards together and deal them back to the players. Cards should be dealt face down, and revealed when all cards have been distributed.

Mix everything up (1)
Shuffle all change cards currently on the table together and deal them out, starting with a player of your choice.  Cards should be dealt face down, and revealed when all cards have been distributed.

New opportunities (2)
Discard the current hand and draw an new hand of five cards. You may then play an additional card.

Swap (1)
Give one of your change cards to another player, then select one of their change cards and place it in front of yourself.

Full Swap (1)
Give all of your change cards to another player, then take all of their change cards and play them on yourself.

Everybody gets one (1)
Draw cards until a number of change cards equal to the number of players is revealed. Give each player one change card, then place the non-change cards in the discard pile.

Magnetic (1)
Choose a player, all players must give one of their change cards to the chosen player.

Centrifugal force (1)
All players choose a change card, then pass it to their right or left (you decide).

Mirror (1)
Choose a player. Place this card in front of that player and choose another player. The first player’s change cards are negated, flip them over. Until this card is removed, the second player’s change cards act as the first players change cards. If a change card is played on the first player, flip it upside down.

Safety net (2)
You may have one additional change card in front of you before you are eliminated.

Empty hand (1)
Discard the entire hand. Do not draw a new hand.

Shield (2)
Choose a player. The next card that targets that player is discarded and takes no effect. Once this ability has activated, discard this card.

Stuff that could be added

Creeper-like cards that get played immediately upon draw, like creepers in Fluxx.
More action cards (I ran out of ideas, and even now most of them were stolen from Fluxx)
Cards that change your voice

Side thoughts

Should voice change with the head cards? Or should separate cards be added?
Should there be more specific stuff for the head instead of changing the entire thing in one go? Should the ears cards be removed, too specific?
Also should legs make someone walk like the respective animal, feline legs forcing someone onto all fours?
What happens after the game? Do the players change back or are they stuck? Personally I’d go for change back.

Now the really nitpicky stuff

The ratio of change/action is 5/1, but of those change cards, including the optional cards. the animal changes are only ⅜.
On a similar note, the optional cards make up 50% of all of the cards. If you play without them the deck has 50 cards, with, 100. Perhaps all of the cards should be optional, but players are encouraged to play with them, then remove the ones they don’t like. And discouraged from limiting the deck to below 30 cards. This allows players to just play with animal cards if they like, but prevents playing with just gender, which would be rather boring. And break the game, as a player can only have one of those attached to them at once.

notes on how transformations work.

Non-specific change cards such as canine head will turn that person’s head into a random canine’s head. They could get anything from an arctic fox to a golden retriever. However, if a theme is established new cards of the same type may change to suit the theme, for example, if a player has two feline cards, if the first one turns them into a panther, the second one will also change the respective part to a panther’s.

The wings cards add wings, and do not change preexisting limbs. The torso and arms cards will change the arms into wings though, as seen with bird torso & arms, which changes a person’s arms into wings.

Also if you chnage into somthing that can’t hold cards, they’ll float infront of you so you can pick via pointing. Classic because magic fix. And is more fun than just doing mixed hands.

If a player tries to play a card of the same type the transformation simply doesn't happen, and the card is returned to the hand. ex: both horse legs and lizard legs, if horse legs was played first, lizard legs would have no effect. It is possible to have a hand of entirely one type of animal change card. But this would not effect gameplay, except for possibly creating a few cards that cannot be played on anyone. Thing is, this is so rare that there is no point in fixing it.

You can completely change someone into a specific thing, given the right cards.
For example:
Griffin tail + feral will completely turn that player into a griffin.
Type cards completely change a person into something else, but if a change card would contradict a type card the change card overrides the type card. For example:
A player has the change cards canine tail and bunny ears, along with anthro attached to canine tail. Something that player could be is an anthropomorphic grey wolf with bunny ears.

With a bit of work you can almost completely turn someone into a griffin without the use of type cards.
Feline legs, Griffin tail, Griffin torso & arms, Bird wings, Bird head.
Should do the trick for an anthro griffin. Although the only way to walk on all fours is currently with a feral or tuar card.

Notes on playtest session.

Four players. All actions were determined randomly with random number generators. Right out of the bat everyone hated player 4, immediately stacking the poor fellow with feline legs, bird wings, and feral. Play continued more evenly after that. Apparently the others thought that was enough. 4 was still the first to go though, getting knocked out by a horse tail.
One thing that stood out was that a lot of change cards were played. The game ended in 18 turns. Of the 18 cards played, 3 were action cards (16.67%). Although it is worth noting that there were three more actions in the hand when the game ended, and cards were selected randomly. It is unknown whether in a real game someone would go for an action card over a change card.

When the game ended player 1 was 10 years older, had bat wings, a lizard head, and canine legs. Player 2 had a bird head, horse ears, and was five years younger. Player 3 was a tiny anthropomorphic dragon with a wyvern torso and arms, so basically A tiny anthro dragon, but four wings and no arms. Player four was a feral feline with bird wings and a horse tail. Not a bad way to go.
These random games often create very interesting combinations.

It is possible that more action cards might make the game more interesting.
