This is my entry for the 10th day of the Halloween contest over at DetachedPeople. Except it's not eligible for a price, because I didn't draw 10 of them. Actually, wait, if you submit a contest entry, but you know beforehand that you're disqualified, is it then still a contest entry?
But anyway: When you're an adult and you go out for trick-or-treating on your own, you will find yourself being afraid of being judged. Maybe they'll ask why you're alone. Maybe they'll ask you "aren't you a bit too old for this shit?". But this night Julia didn't get any of that. Instead she got a lot of "AAAA! oh my goodness..." and "Holy shit! Are you okay? Do you need an ambulance?". There was also this elderly lady who fainted. Then Julia had to snag a lollipop from the lady herself. After checking if she still had a pulse, of course.
By the way, if you reply "trick" instead of "treat", she will demand that you do a trick in order to amuse her. If you fail to deliver, she will demand that you give her toilet paper so she can wrap it around your house. If you fail to deliver toilet paper, she will use her intestines instead.
EDIT: typo.
