In an alternate reality "belly cutting" has recently become trendy if not viral, especially among teenage girls and young women. As the name suggests, it involves making cuts in your belly, usually in the form of images or abstract patterns. Some “belly cutters” treat it as fashion, others think of it as a form of art, but the majority probably just do it because all their friends are doing it. Meanwhile, doctors around the world are busy discussing what consequences this practice might have on the body other than difficulty with digestion until the belly grows back.

I had a lot of fun drawing this. This is the first time I’ve tried making interior design in my “trippy art” if you can call it that. I was considering adding a caption saying “just got a bellycut xDDD” or “first bellycut lol” or something like that, just to make it more social-media-post-like, but it just didn’t seem to fit.
