Description: Ness is the daughter of a candle maker. From a young age, she was rather aloof. She developed a love of reading and would often borrow books from whoever she could. She would even read the same book over and over again.

When she was 18, she went out in the woods to collect wild herbs. It was there that she ran into the Necromancer Juana Underwood as she was savaging old battlefields. Partly to keep her quiet, Juana grabbed her, placing a magic collar around her neck which subjugated Ness to her will.

Ness was then forced to be Juana's maid, wearing an old uniform Juana had picked up somewhere. Unable to remove the collar or fight back, she lived with her in a cave where she was stockpiling bones and weapons. There, she was made to keep the cave relatively clean and cook all of Juana's meals.

When not on some task, Ness would return to her hobby of reading what few books she could still get her hands on. She even read Juana's spell books until she was banned from doing so.

Over the years of servitude, she became rather facetious and would mock Juana when ever she felt she could get away with it. She would also test the limits of her collar, attempting twist Juana's words as much as she could in order to escape her duties. Most of the time, she tries to find some place to hide away and read her books.

A supporting character for Plight of the Necromancer. She has the unfortunate job of being Juana's caretaker. The listed age is that of when the story takes place, about 30 years before the events of A Slave to the Omnisuit and All that Glitters.
