I've been sitting on this image for almost three years now, I though I might as well post it. I commissioned it to go with the third part of my Amber Blade crossover trilogy. However that story has been indefinitely shelved. The events of Rock Hard Convictions and Jade Jackal Squad were suppose to lead up to it. I put off writing it for a while, partly because I was trying to finish the image and partly for reasons I can't exactly remember. When I did start writing it last year I ran into some issues, getting stuck in the middle. Esmeralda was suppose to play for ownership of Carlotta, as well as the freedom of the Jade Jackal Squad, putting her own on the line. However I couldn't come up with how to get her into the game without compromising on either her or Lilly's character. After a while of going no where I oped to scrap it. In fact I'm tempted to ret-gone the whole survival game they were suppose to be playing. It was something I came up with while Trivium was still a role play I was just having fun with. I based a battle royal tournament on some out of context clips I saw on Nocturnal Emissions back when G4 was still a thing. It would give Lilly's slaves a chance to switch roles, but now that I've developed her character and the setting it's a horrible way of doing stuff and I just put the statues on six mouth rotation, which was how often the two versions of the tournament took place.

Still I had already commissioned the line art, so I might as well use it. I had certain issues with this as well. I couldn't figure out how to shade Esmeralda since the crystal she is encased in is a light source. I put in an attempt, but I'm not sure if you can tell. This was suppose to be the first sign of Lilly's crystal garden, but I put that in at the end of Plight of the Necromancer and we had Dvega use it as the setting for one of his Patreon wallpapers. I'm still too cheep to commission a picture of the garden, as it would have several characters in it, even if it's a close up to cut down on the number. Maybe some day.

This was also suppose to be a lead into School AU: Carlotta and Esmeralda by Dvega where Carlotta and Esmeralda would share a dream in which they are high school girls and act out on some of their unresolved sexual tension. However as a result of it losing the set up story that has been shelved as well. I guess I should wait until I start writing these stories before I commission the images.
