Description: Serena is unclear on her own age and origin. She appears to be a rapier that developed a consciousness. Her energy is that of a demon, and she has been classified as such. However, it's unclear if she was originally a demon sealed within a rapier or a rapier that simply absorbed enough demonic energy to develop a will of her own. She could also be considered a tsukumogami, but on a spiritual level, she is closer to a demon than a yokai.
Serena's blade is able to pass through any living thing like water, regardless of how durable they are. She is even able to slip through chi-enchanted skin with ease. However, she is incapable of cutting anyone. Instead, body parts that she would normally cut turn to granite. If she were to slice through a limb, the whole limb past the cut would turn to stone. Should she inflict a normally fatal blow, such as through the heart or decapitation, the whole body would be transformed. However, should she fail to transform the victim completely, they will slowly start to return to normal over the course of a few hours, depending on how much of their body was petrified.
Over time, Serena developed another ability: the power to manifest her demonic aura into a physical body, allowing her to wield herself. This has allowed her more independence and she can move and talk on her own. However, she still has a subconscious desire to be owned and used.
Normally, her manifested body takes the form of a red demon woman, complete with horns and tail. This is the form she is most comfortable with. However, when need be, she is able to generate one in human or, within limits, demihuman form. Regardless of what form her body takes, it would still have demon-like properties, such as above average human ability, but also demonic weaknesses such as being burned by sacred silver and an aversion to holy fields. This also carries over to her true body as well.
She is able to manifest and dissolve her body at will. However, should it take to much damage, it will be forcibly dispelled and she will be unable manifest a new one for some time.
Currently, she is in the possession of Lilly Smith. As she lacks a traditional body, her collar is instead placed around her handle, shrunk down to fit. Due to her non-lethal ability to subdue people, she was assigned to guard the forest around Topaz Tower. Unfortunately, this puts her under the direct command of Dame Arjean Lumiere, the captain of the guard. The two do not get along due to their conflicting natures and anatomy.
