Physical description

They posses the upper body of a human woman and the lower body of a giant snake, sometimes over 22 ft long in total. The color of their skin and scales vary depending on what region or family they are from. Many lamia have forked tongues and pointed ears. From the waist up they are almost indistinguishable from human women.

Their hair and scales can come in a number of colors including red, pink, green, turquoise, and topaz.

General description

A cold blooded race of snake women, Lamia prefer warm climates. On colder days they snuggle up with mammals to keep warm. This has led them to become quite affectionate.

As lamia can only bare female young, so they must mate with males of compatible species. They have a particular fondness for human men.

Normally lamia live in tribes of villages of anywhere from 20 to 40. Small groups my venture out to hunt for pray at a time. As the communities are comprised of almost all females they will acquire a tribal husband or two by any means necessary. The tribal husband will then be made to impregnate all the lamias currently ovulating. This can get exhausting. This leads to all the lamias in the same generation being half sisters.

Every now and then a lamia will desire a more monogamous relationship and will leave the tribe so as not to be forced to compete with her sisters and aunts. Sometimes she will even take the tribal husband with her if she feels he loves her.

Lamias can move very quickly, but only in short bursts. After a leap it takes them a moment to crouch up and get ready for the next one. They can also adjust their vision to become heat based, they can even trace recent steps.

A common power they could poses is hypnotic eyes. At close range they can charm a victim into bending to their will. They will often wrap around their victim's body first so they cannot fight back. However many don't have the talent for hypnosis or lack it all together.
