Kara wasn't sure how things had gone this far.

It started innocently enough. One of her roommates, Maria, brought home what looked like a small piece of chalk, which she claimed she'd swiped from the magic shop. Kara immediately called bullshit. Of course, everyone in the city had heard of the rumored magic shop, supposedly popping up in random spots and disappearing before anyone could get solid proof. That said, even if Maria had stumbled upon it, there's no way they would just let her walk out without paying.

Her other roommates weren't quite as skeptical. Amy, sipping on her trademark cup of tea, insisted it was possible Maria had found the shop. She claimed one of her cousins had found the store too, who said that they didn't really care about money. The person behind the register had insisted they take the item they'd had their eye on when her cousin showed up empty-handed. Why then, she'd asked, would they care if someone stole?

Faye, the final member of the household, was at least a little more skeptical. She'd reminded Amy that the "lucky stone" her cousin had come home with one day never seemed to have any tangible effect on anything. However, with how many people had claimed to see the store, all giving similar descriptions, it would be pointless to rule Maria's claims out entirely.

"So," Faye had asked, eyeing the small stick in Maria's outstretched hand. "What's this thing supposed to do? We could just test it and put this conversation to rest."

"The display said 'Transformation Chalk'," Maria said. "I didn't really get any details on how it works. I was sort of just trying not to get caught taking it. The display did have a big sticker on it saying it would never run out, though!"

"Alright," Faye muttered. She snatched the chalk out of Maria's hand and drew a big circle on the living room floor. She then raised the chalk up to her face, studying it intensely. "It doesn't look any smaller. Maybe it really is magic?"

"Oh, please," Kara scoffed, "Of course it wouldn't run out that fast! I can't believe you're all buying this. Here, watch." She took a slow step into the circle.

"W-wait!" Amy cried out. "We don't know if that's safe. Kara-"

Kara's second foot reached the inside of the circle, leaving her completely surrounded by it, just in time to here the last work of Amy's cry.

"Stop!"

A bright flash emanated from the chalk on the floor, and then, in an instant, where Kara was standing, there was a stop sign.

A look of horror washed over Amy's face. She fumbled her tea in shock, spilling it all over her front. "K-Kara?"

At the mention of her name, the circle flashed again, leaving Kara standing back in her normal form. She quickly backed out of the circle.

All three of her roommates let out an exhausted sigh of relief. "Thank gosh, it's safe," muttered Amy. Having a moment to relax, she finally looked down at the mess she'd made with her tea. "I guess I'd better go change-"

At the same time, a mischievous grin formed on Maria's face. Kara, as may be expected, was taking a moment longer to process the fact that she'd just spent a few seconds as a road sign. Maria took this as an opportunity to push her back into the circle, just in time for Amy to say "my shirt".

Once again, the glow of the circle filled the room before, in its center, lay an exact copy of Amy's shirt. It was bright pink and low-cut, with a few spiral floral patterns printed on it. Before what had happened could even sink in, Amy swooped down and grabbed Kara off the floor. She looked at Amy for a moment, considering giving handing Kara to her, but instead decided to take her own shirt off right away and stretch Kara over her.

Kara felt incredibly stretched out over Maria's torso. Amy was definitely a size or two shorter than her, and Kara was already made of such a thin material. The sensation was excruciating, and yet, there was also something extremely warm and intimate about it. She was overwhelmed by how close she was to Maria, how tightly she was pressed against her, and beautifully powerless she felt. Kara felt thankful that she couldn't do anything to give away how into this she was finding herself.

Amy and Faye stood shocked, staring at Maria. Maria rolled her eyes. "Oh, she'll be fine. I'll turn her back tomorrow. We all just saw that this is safe, and I think this is fair recompense for calling me a liar."

Faye snapped out of her daze first, shrugging her shoulders. "Well, I guess it's harmless." She left casually, heading for her room.

Amy was a little more hesitant. "O-okay, please be careful with Kara, Maria." Hesitantly, Maria also went to her room,

"Well, shirt," Maria practically sung. "Let's have a fun day, today." She stepped out the door.

As Maria took a walk around the city, Kara felt humiliated. Maria made sure to draw as much attention to her as possible, asking everyone she recognized if they liked her shirt. To some of them, she acted as though Kara was just a normal shirt. To others, she made sure to tell them exactly what had happened, being met with giggles and surprise. In every case, she ran her hand across Kara's side, sending shivers through her whole fabric body. She was embarrassed, yes, but there was something about this that also thrilled her.

Whenever they were alone, Maria would tease her. "Oh, I've seen you glancing at my breasts. Don't tell me you aren't enjoying this." Or "How does it feel, being so thin and helpless? Maybe I'll just keep you like this." Or "It's a shame you're a human, Kara. You're so much better as a thing."

After a few hours of walking around, Maria returned home. Maybe bored of teasing her or maybe thinking it would be all the more fun, she stopped acknowledging Kara. She made dinner, watched some TV, and went to sleep - all while wearing Kara, of course. Kara had, despite herself, really enjoyed the teasing, but this was also nice in a different way. It felt comfortable and intimate, and by the time morning came around, she wasn't sure she was ready for it to end.

By the time Maria woke up in the morning, Amy and Faye were already waiting by the chalk circle. This was expected; Maria had a habit of procrastinating her household chores, and it wasn't unfair to assume she might do something similar with turning Kara back.

Maria smiled, taking Kara off and placing her gently into the center of the circle. "Kara," she spoke flatly.

With one more flash of light, Kara returned to her human form. Only, her emotions were now written all over her face. She had collapsed to the ground, unable to stand up. Her face was bright red. She was clearly attempting to say something, but she was so flustered that she could only babble incoherently. Seeing the please look on Maria's face, Amy quickly pulled Kara out of the circle before she started speaking.

"Oh my gosh," Maria teased. "I thought there was a chance you might enjoy that, but look at your face! You look like you'd rather be a household item than our roommate." Kara's face grew somehow redder. "Oh, you would, wouldn't you? We're going to have to do this again. You are so adorable!"

Kara began to slowly make her way back into the center of the circle.

"Already?" Maria cooed. "Oh wow, you can't even hide it. Okay, um-"

"Sports bra." Interrupted Faye. Once again, the transformation took place immediately, and Kara was already in her new form. She was grey, tight and durable, and perfectly sized for Faye.

Faye scooped her up, meeting her roommates gazes, Amy's surprised and Maria's annoyed. "What?" Faye asked. "If Kara's spending two days as an object, it means she's not helping with the normal household chores. I was going to workout today, but I needed a new sports bra, so this is her chore now. It's only fair we share her."

"Fine," said Maria curtly, walking out of the room. Amy just stood still, unsure of what to do or say. Faye left for her room, not taking much time to slip into Kara and the rest of her workout clothes, and immediately set out on a run.

Spending they day wrapped around Faye was a lot different than with Amy. Faye treated her a lot more practically, seemingly taking no time at all to start just treating her like a normal sports bra. Even when Maria started to ignore her, it felt a lot more playful. She made exaggerated movements, and would occasionally stroke her side. Faye, on the other hand, did no such thing, and yet, it also exhilarated Kara. She felt less like a toy and more like any other piece of clothing, and there was something so...correct about that too. It felt like Faye might forget her existence entirely, which wasn't a scary thought to her at all.

Faye worked out for several hours, running to the gym, doing every exercise under the sun, and then running home. The whole time, Kara felt stretched to her limits and absorbed every bead of sweat that came close to her. By the end, she reeked of Faye, and she'd never smelled anything better.

When Faye returned home, she casually ripped Kara off, and tossed her into a dark corner, balled up. She must have sat there like that for over twelve hours, and yet, something in her mind craved it. She loved feeling worn and dirty, waiting on the floor with the rest of the dirty clothing, wondering if she'd be forgotten like this.

Fortunately, however, when morning came, Faye grabbed her and casually tossed Kara back into the circle. "Kara," she said, flatly.

Once again, Kara sat in the center of the circle, utterly flustered, surrounded by all three of her roommates. However, before anyone could say or do anything, Amy spoke and surprised everyone.

"Hoodie!" She chirped, and for the third time in three days, light flashed and Kara lay in the center of the circle as an article of clothing. Amy gingerly scooped her up and threw her on immediately, being very gentle as she zipped Kara up. "What?" she asked, looking at her confused roommates. "You both got a turn!" She skipped off to her room.

Amy, too, seemed to have a different approach on how to treat Kara. Rather than tease her mercilessly or ignore her, Amy was extremely soft and gentle with her. She spent the day relaxing around her room, playing video games and using her computer. She'd make frequent comments about how comfortable Kara was, how soft and nice she felt, how gently she'd treat her. Kara loved this as well. It was so warm, so comfortable, and so loving. Amy spent the whole day wearing her, even leaving the TV on as she slept so Kara wouldn't get bored. Kara didn't think this was necessary - she was perfectly comfortable just snuggled up with Amy - but there was a real warm kindness to the gesture.

As soon as she woke up, Amy brought Kara back to the chalk circle and turned her back into her human form. Kara's roommates all quickly agreed that three days in a row was a lot, and that none of them would transform Kara again until she had at least a day to rest. Throughout the day, Maria kept telling her about all the ways she'd humiliate, use, and torment Kara next time. Faye casually listed a few things that she'd be able to avoid buying by using her in place of them next time. Amy told her how she couldn't wait to have another cuddly day with Kara. Needless to say, by the next day, Kara was ready to be transformed again.

This quickly became a pattern. A day as something intimate for Maria, a day as workout gear for Faye, and then a day as something soft for Amy. It became so routine that they stopped turning Kara back into a human between items. Eventually, three days an item, one day a human became six days an item, one day a human. Human days got rarer and rarer until, at some point, they stopped all together, and no one really noticed.

Negotiating use time for Kara also became common. Faye wanted a pair of bike shorts to take on a week-long biking trip, so she had to do an extra week of laundry. Amy wasn't able to get a new video game console for a few weeks after launch, so Kara spent a full month in that form while Amy did extra dishes. Maria thought it would be really fun to turn turn Kara into her panties for a full month and wash her as little as she could, so she traded time with her roommates.

Kara had become nothing more than an item, no longer able to have any control over any of her forms, and she had never felt more right.
