I had gotten home from work, took a shower, fixed myself some dinner, watched a little TV, and put my pajamas on. Before I went to bed, I decided to paint my nails. I picked out some red nail polish, sat on my bed, and painted my fingernails.

I was about to paint my toenails when I thought of something. I looked over across the room and noticed the saw sitting against the wall. I had bought that saw the other day after Trevor told me that I might have magical abilities of my own, but I was too afraid to try it.

What if Trevor was wrong and I didn't really have magical abilities. I could seriously injure myself. I could wind up getting blood everywhere. How would I explain the blood stains to my landlord? How would I explain to the people at the hospital how this injury happened? What if I bled to death before I even got to the hospital.

I went over and grabbed the saw and sat back down on the bed. I also grabbed some paper towels just in case it didn't work.

I sat so that my left foot was dangling over the side of the bed. I decided to cut at the ankle and put the saw there. I just sat there and stared at the saw for a few minutes.

"Well, here goes nothing." I said to myself as my heart was racing.

I started sawing, but stopped after a few minutes. The sound of sawing through bone startled me. I grabbed the paper towels, and checked the cut, but there was no blood.

"Come on, Carlie; you can do this. There isn't any blood. That means it is working." I said to myself.

I put the paper towels down and started sawing again. After a few minutes, my foot was only being held on by the tendon on the back of the foot. Once I sawed through that my foot fell to the ground.

I put the saw down and examined my new stump where my foot had once been. It was flat and smooth at the bottom, and was a little ticklish.

I picked up the saw and cut my other foot off, but this time more slowly so I could savor it.

After my foot fell to the ground, I picked up my freshly severed feet and examined them. Even though they were no longer attached to my legs, I still had complete control and feeling in my feet. I wiggled my toes, ran my fingers along my soles, and tickled them.

After a few minutes of admiring my own feet, I grabbed the nail polish, and painted my toenails. I found that it was much easier to that when my feet weren't attached. I will probably be cutting my feet off every time I paint my nails.

Now that I knew for sure that I really did have magical abilities, I need to try to figure out what else I wanted to do to myself, but it was too late to try anything tonight. I have to get up early in the morning and need to get some sleep.

I picked my feet up, but decided that I would reattach them in the morning. I set my feet on the floor, turned off the lamp and went to sleep.
