Ellen ripped open the package that had just arrived. She had been waiting months at this point. Once the contents were revealed, her eyes lingered on the detached foot that ended mid-calf. A frown appeared.

"What's the matter?" Hiro said to his girlfriend the second he noticed the disappointment on her face.

There was a second of silence before Ellen spoke again. "It's...it's the wrong one."

Hiro cocked his head in confusion. He peered into the cardboard box, full of packing peanuts, and took note of the features that were strikingly similar to the feet currently attached to her. "I don't understand."

"It's the wrong size. Way too big. I wanted a size five foot, not a eight or nine, which is very obviously what they sent me."

The disembodied foot, strangely warm to the touch, was lifted from the confinement of the parcel. The toes wiggled slightly as he measured the length using his eye. It was bigger than her own, but he didn't believe it were too big to validate rejection.

"I already bought shoes in that specific size. I can't wear any of it."

Hiro laughed. "Now that's what we call getting off on the wrong foot."
