The Hollywood Costume Party
A cool autumn breeze blew across the patio as Jennifer Aniston opened her mail. She was thankful that her agent screened her mail. That way, she wouldn't be swamped with fan mail, bills or stuff sent from creepy stalkers. The only mail she did receive were letters from her family and friends, other stars, studio executives and invitations to the biggest and best parties.
What caught her eye this afternoon was a square, black envelope with orange writing. “This looks interesting,” she mused as she sliced open the envelope with a letter opener.
She pulled out the card and read it aloud, even though she was alone.
You are cordially invited to
UNIVERSAL PICTURES
Halloween Costume Ball
Thursday, October 31st
7pm
Just then, her cellular phone began chirping. Jennifer put the invitation aside and answered the phone casually, “Hello.”
“Hey Jen,” the female voice said.
Jennifer thought for a moment, the voice was familiar, but it was difficult to tell on a cell phone. "Hi, who is this?" she asked.
“Courtney. You know, the person you've worked with for the past decade," Courtney Cox Arquette replied sarcastically.
“Sorry Court," she answered. "It's hard to tell on this damn cell phone. What's up?"
"Did you get an invitation to Universal's big Halloween costume party?" she asked excitedly.
“Yeah, I just opened it,” she said as she cradled the phone between her ear and shoulder and picked up the invitation. “But I don’t think I'm going to go.”
“Are you nuts?” Courtney shrieked. “It's gonna be great. C'mon, with Brad shooting on-location, you have nothing better to do. It'll be fun."
“Whatever,” she sighed. “But with Brad filming in Australia, I don’t feel like going out. I just want to take it easy.”
Courtney took a deep breath before responding, “Look Jen, these parties are great for keeping your face out there. This party could help you land your next big movie. Besides, it could help people forget about "The Good Girl."
“Hey, no fair," she exclaimed. "It wasn't my fault the movie sucked."
"Whatever," Courtney said dismissively. "Look, not only will it be a lot of fun, but I got wind of some hot info from my agent. Turns out, the big-wigs at Universal are using this party to help cast their next big family blockbuster."
"What're you talking about?" Jennifer asked, becoming more interested.
"From what Bernie tells me," she began, "Universal is doing some big, live action family picture based on some kids book that's big over in Europe. It’s about two kids who get whisked away to a far off magical land with talking animals. They all work together to save the day and crap like that. The big wigs are looking to cast stars as the talking animals, some good and some bad."
"Sounds like "The Wizard of Oz," Jennifer said coolly.
"Yeah, well, family movies are big," Courtney explained. "And from what Bernie says, Universal is sinking a lot of money into this picture. They’re hoping it’ll be bigger than the Harry Potter franchise."
"If that's so, why put on a Halloween party to cast a movie?" Jennifer asked.
"The two things big shots love are publicity and saving a buck," Courtney said with a chuckle. "By throwing a big party, they get their name on every magazine, radio show and TV show in the country for at least a week. And at the same time, they get to see who would be good for the movie. Saving them time and money when it comes to casting."
Jennifer thought for a moment before answering. “Alright, alright, I’ll go,” she replied. “So, where do we get costumes and what should we go as? We have just over a week and a half till the party."
"I have it all figured out," Courtney said happily. "Seeing as they're casting for a family picture with talking animals, we should go as animals."
Jennifer sighed loudly into the phone, "Geez Court, every animal costume I've ever seen looks cheesy. If I'm gonna do this I want to be noticed, not laughed at."
"Don't worry about a thing," Courtney said cheerfully. "Like I said, I've got it all figured out. I'll pick you up tomorrow morning at ten and we'll both go to this new place David and I know about."
"Alright, you win," Jennifer said. "I'll be ready, but this place had better be good."
“You’re beautiful Jen,” Courtney said with a giggle. “Don’t worry about a thing. I’ve got everything under control."
Before Jennifer could say goodbye, the line had gone dead. “Oh well,” she mused, “how bad could this be?”
-------------------------------------------------------
Courtney picked up Jennifer at the appointed time and they both drove off out of town.
"So, where are we going?" Jennifer asked.
"You'll see," was Courtney's answer as they sped on their way. "It's a surprise."
"I hope this isn't a mistake," Jennifer said to herself quietly.
Fifteen minutes later, they had arrived at a large four-story, office building on the outskirts of Los Angeles. It looked like every other office building outside the city, except it looked newer and remarkably cleaner. The landscaping was immaculately well groomed. Crystal clear water cascaded over a marble sign at the entrance that read "DiNA-tech."
Courtney parked her BMW in the small visitors lot and they walked up the beautifully polished pebble sidewalk. The colored pebbles were arranged in a colorful spiraling pattern all the way to the front entrance.
As they entered the door, Jennifer expected to see racks and racks of costumes, wigs and masks. She certainly did not expect the sight she beheld. The inside looked like the waiting room for a day spa. There was a marble fountain off to her left that was surrounded with very comfortable looking chairs. She also noticed a cappuccino machine against the far wall. Straight ahead was the receptionist’s desk, where a very attractive young woman sat typing on her computer keyboard.
The young woman looked up and said, "Good morning Ms. Aniston and Ms. Cox. Thank you for being on time. Robert will be with you shortly. Would either of you like a cappuccino while you wait."
"Excuse me," Jennifer said sheepishly. "But where are all the costumes?"
"Costumes?" the woman replied. "What costumes?"
"Forget it," Courtney said to the receptionist as she ushered Jennifer to one of the velvet chairs. "She's a little confused."
Thinking nothing of it, the reception went back to her work on the computer.
"What's going on Court?" Jennifer asked as she sat down.
Courtney sat down next to Jennifer and took a deep breath before she explained, "Okay, you know how you said yesterday that every animal costume you've seen looks dorky?"
Jennifer nodded silently.
"That's why we're not going to wear costumes," she said with a smile.
"Did I miss something?" Jennifer asked.
Before Courtney could answer, a door opened and out walked a tall man dressed in a long white lab coat, carrying a palm pilot. "Ms. Aniston, Ms. Cox, I'm ready to help you now," he greeted warmly. "My name is Robert and I will be assisting you today."
"Nice to meet you," they both said with a smile as Robert ushered them into a nicely decorated conference room.
"I hate to sound stupid," Jennifer said slowly as she sat down. "But what's going on here?"
Courtney turned to Robert and said, "I haven't told her what you do here. I was just about to explain when you showed up."
"I see," Robert said casually as he sat down in a leather chair behind a polished desk.
"You mean this isn't a costume shop?" Jennifer asked slowly.
Robert and Courtney shared a knowing smile. "No, this isn't a costume shop," Robert began. "We are DiNA-tech, the nation's foremost genetics research company. We can correct virtually any mistake that Mother Nature makes."
"You see Jen," Courtney added, "We're not just gonna dress up like animals, we're gonna actually become them, in a manner of speaking."
"What?!" Jennifer shrieked. "Are you kidding?"
"Ms. Aniston, if I may explain," Robert said calmly. "We have perfected a way to splice genes from one creature to another. The procedure is totally harmless and easily reversible."
"I don't get it," Jennifer stammered. "You mean you're gonna turn us into animals?"
"In a manner of speaking, yes," Robert said with a smile. "It's a bit more complicated, but that's it in a nutshell."
"Think about it," Courtney said with a wide smile. "We'll have the best, most realistic costumes at the party. Everybody will notice us for sure. This can't miss. We'll be better than everyone else."
"That's not entirely true," Robert said slowly. "You're not the first stars to come to us for help. Actually, you're the seventh and eighth."
"What?" Courtney exclaimed. "Who else knows about this?"
"I really shouldn't do this," Robert said sheepishly. "Confidentiality and all, but we're also assisting Kirsten Dunst, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Nicole Kidman. Naturally, I can not tell you what they will be going as, but I assure you that we will not duplicate any animals."
"Damn, I thought we would be the only ones," Courtney said dejectedly.
"This actually could work to everyone's advantage," Robert mused. "With a group of people going as animals, you won't stand out too much. Even though the studio execs know that a bunch of stars will show up as animals, if not, they wouldn't have leaked the information to your agents."
"Let's do this," Jennifer said with grim determination.
"What?" Courtney exclaimed. "Why the change of heart? From the way you were acting before, I was sure you would chicken out."
"I'll be damned if I’m going to let an opportunity like this pass me by," she said with a hint of anger. What she didn't mention is that People magazine called Reese Witherspoon "a young Jennifer Aniston" in their latest issue. Needless to say, that cut a little deep. "So what do we do now?"
Robert leaned forward as he explained DiNA-tech's policies. "You do realize, that what we do here is not known publicly. If it were, we'd have everyone from the church to P.E.T.A. picketing at our door. And we want to avoid that at all costs. That's why we insist that you keep our process in strict confidence. While in public, you must maintain that you are wearing an elaborate costume. If anyone asks where you go it or any other particulars, be vague. Say it’s a trade secret. Tell them you met a witch on the way to the party. Anything, except the truth. Do you understand?"
Both women nodded their agreement.
"I hate to bring this up," Jennifer said meekly, "but how much is this gonna cost?"
"As you might imagine, something as specialized as this is quite expensive," Robert replied. "From what I understand from Ms. Cox, it sounds like what you need is a standard transformation package, which is $150,000. I hope that won't be a problem."
"I think we'll be able to handle it," Courtney said with a smile.
"All I need from you now is your signature's on the contract and we'll be ready to go," Robert said as he pulled out two contracts from a desk drawer.
After they had both signed their names on the dotted lines, Jennifer asked, "So, what do we do now?"
"Now we need to decide on what species to splice with you and how much," Robert said as he started typing commands on his palm pilot. "We also want there to be a connection to the animals chosen. A good animal match will nearly guarantee you good press coverage. That, and we don't want to be too obvious. Tell me, what are your respective husbands going as?"
"David hasn't decided yet," Courtney said. "He was hoping that you would have some ideas and that he would go along with it."
Robert thought for a moment, "Hmmm, and what about you Ms. Aniston, what is your husband going as?"
"He's not going," Jennifer replied. "He's shooting a movie in Australia till the second week in November."
Robert thought for a moment before he exclaimed, "That's perfect! Absolutely perfect."
"What's perfect?" Jennifer questioned.
"Think about it," Robert explained. "Your husband is in Australia, and you need to come up with an exotic animal for your "costume". Don't you see the possibility. Your picture will be in every newspaper and magazine and on every TV show for a week."
"I don't get it," Courtney said. "What's the idea?"
"That is perfect," Jennifer exclaimed. "I see what you mean. But, what about Nicole Kidman? She's from Australia and I don't want to copy her."
"Fear not," Robert said with a broad smile. "While I can't tell you what she is going as, I can tell you it is not an animal from her native Australia. She doesn't want to be type cast, if you know what I mean."
"Excuse me," Courtney said. "What's she gonna be?"
"You'll see soon enough," Jennifer said with a sly grin. "What about you? What do you want to go as?"
"I don't know," she replied. "I want to be different, but I don't know."
Robert thought for a moment while he typed commands into his palm pilot. "If you're game, why don't we just let the computer pick an animal at random. We'll just eliminate all the common animals, like cats, dogs, etc."
"I'm game," she said with a smile. "So when can we do this?"
"If you have the time, I'd like to do a preliminary run today," Robert said casually.
"But the party isn't for a little over a week," Jennifer said.
"Why the rush?" Courtney added. "I don't want to be an animal that long."
"Oh, you won't be," Robert soothed. "I should have mentioned this before. While the process is painless and takes less than ten minutes, depending on how much splicing is done, it can be a bit disconcerting. For example, you'll have to get used to moving around with a tail, hooves or whatever. In some cases, after you are spliced, you may change your mind about the animal you have chosen. It'll just make things easier for you to manage come the night of the party."
"Well, I have time," Jennifer said with a shrug. "What about you Court?"
"Let's go," she said as she rose from her chair.
"Excellent," Robert said as he typed on his palm pilot. "If you'll follow me, I see that splicing room two is available."
Robert led the two women down a series of beige hallways, past several closed doors and abstract paintings till they reached their destination. As they entered, Jennifer and Courtney were struck silent by what they saw. The room was enormous. Three of the four walls were crammed with rows and rows of computer processors, monitors and workstations. In the center of the room stood, what looked like a large glass chamber with an ominous device on top.
"This looks like something out of a science fiction movie," Jennifer observed as they entered the room.
"To most of the world, what we do is science fiction," Robert replied. "So who wants to go first?"
The two women looked at each other for a moment before Jennifer stepped forward. "Seeing as I know what I want to do, I mean be, I might as well go first. What do I do?"
Robert walked over to a computer monitor and keyboard near the large glass chamber and began to enter commands. "First, we need to enter the information about your transformation. We select the appropriate species, then the extent of the transformation. I think it best that you maintain your body size, we don't want to arouse too much suspicion." Robert was talking to himself, more than his two clients. "I think we can go 100% on your feet and legs. Tail, yes. Torso, I think 50% will do it. Chest, 25%. Arms, 25%. Hands, lets try 10% for the first go round. We'll need to be a little more specific with the head and features. Let's see, eyes, 0%. We can get away with 100% on the nose, mouth and ears. We'll definitely want to leave the hair alone. Shape, we'll need to keep the same, and we can fill in the spaces with fur. That should just about do it."
"Excuse me," Jennifer interrupted. "But what do I need to do?"
"Take your clothes off and step into the chamber, please," Robert said evenly as he continued to type commands into the computer.
"What?" Jennifer said loudly. "Why do I need to get naked?"
Robert stopped what he was doing and turned to face his clients. "There are two very good reasons why you need to remove all of your clothing. During the transformation process, your body will be changing at the genetic level and the clothing might get damaged or possibly even injure you. Second, in past procedures, clothing has impeded the process of the transformation, to a degree. I almost forgot, you also must remove all jewelry."
"I don't know about this," Jennifer said to Courtney.
"Oh go ahead," Courtney prodded. "I'm gonna do it."
"Alright," she relented as she began removing her clothes. "But I better not see any naked pictures of me on the internet when I get home."
"I hate to break it to you," Robert said with a grin. "But I'm sure some enterprising graphic artists have flooded the web with countless fakes of you in the nude. We do however film the transformation process for security and educational purposes."
It took less than a minute for Jennifer to remove all her clothing and place them neatly in a plastic box that Robert provided. "Here goes nothing," she said to no one in particular.
Upon entering the glass chamber, Jennifer realized that she didn't know what to expect. "He said this was gonna be painless," she thought to herself as she looked from Robert, who was typing more commands into the computer, to Courtney, who gave her a wide grin and a thumbs up.
Robert's voice sounded strange through the glass walls of the chamber, "Here we go. Just relax and enjoy the experience. It won't hurt a bit."
She saw Robert turn and say a few words to Courtney, but couldn't make out what he had said.
The first thing Jennifer noticed was a muffled humming noise coming from overhead. She then noticed lights blinking wildly on the strange devise that sat atop the chamber.
When she looked back at Courtney on the other side of the glass, she saw her staring, with her mouth agape. Curious to see what had shocked her friend, she looked down at herself and was surprised to see a fine coat a reddish-brown fur growing all over her body.
Jennifer then thought she was shrinking when everything outside of the box began to get taller. The sensation ended quickly as she realized that she wasn't shrinking, her legs were changing. They hadn't got smaller, even though they did look thicker and more muscular. They had reshaped to the hind legs of a kangaroo. She then realized that kangaroos don't stand erect like humans. This was one more thing she would have to get used to.
"This is weird," she thought to herself. "I can see myself changing, but I don't feel a thing."
She then watched her feet lengthen to double their original size. Jennifer watched her toes become thicker and shorter. Her toenails had turned black and changed into tiny claws that emerged from the tip of each transformed toe. She tentatively lifted one foot into the air a few inches to make sure everything was okay.
Jennifer raised her hands to see how they were changing and was a little disappointed by what she saw. "They hardly changed," she thought to herself. While her hands and arms were covered with fine reddish-brown hair and her fingernails had become claws, nothing else had changed. Her hands had the same shape, and when she turned them over, she noticed thick black pads on her palms.
When she looked back at Courtney, she again saw her staring, open-mouthed and pointing at something behind Jennifer. She turned to see what had so shocked her friend. While she knew kangaroo's had tails, it still shocked her to see one lengthening from her lower back. It grew so long that it touched the back of the glass chamber. What shocked her even more was that she could feel the glass wall with her new appendage and, with a little effort, she could even move it around.
"This is wild," she thought as she hung her head and shook it from side to side in amazement. That’s when she noticed that she had a pouch on her abdomen. She pulled at the edge of the pouch and it opened slightly. It wasn't large, but it looked big enough that she could probably fit her arm into it halfway to her elbow.
As she stared down into her pouch, something caught her eye. When she looked down, she saw the tip of her nose pushing away from her face to form, what she knew was her muzzle.
"I can't wait to see myself in a mirror," she thought to herself as the humming of the machines became silent.
Robert walked over to the chamber's door and opened it with a flourish. "I think you'll be happy with the results," he said with a broad smile. "Now be careful exiting the chamber. With your transformed feet and legs, you can't walk like you used to. You will be able to take small steps, but hopping will feel more comfortable. Just watch your head when you hop. We wouldn't want you to injure yourself."
Jennifer shuffled her feet slowly as she exited the chamber.
"You look awesome Jen," Courtney said with a wide, toothy smile.
"Is there a mirror in here?" Jennifer asked Robert.
Robert pointed to a large, full-length mirror mounted on the back of the door to the room.
Taking short hops, Jennifer moved to the mirror and stared at her reflex in awe. If she hadn't seen the changes happening, she would swear she was staring at a complete stranger. From the waist down she was totally kangaroo, only larger and a bit wider. Her chest was covered with fur. She was thankful that it covered her nipples completely. She could easily see how anybody would think this was just a fuzzy shirt.
What really shocked her was her face. Her nose and mouth formed a fuzzy muzzle and a large set of ears poked through her hair on the top of her head. Through all the fur, muzzle and transformed ears she could still see a resemblance to her former self.
"This is incredible," she said excitedly as she turned to face Courtney and Robert. In her excitement, her tail struck the metallic base of a rack causing her to yelp in pain.
"You must be careful," Robert said seriously. "That's why we insist that you get used to your new form before going out in public. It might not be a bad idea for you to have another session before the party, it's included in the package." He then turned to face Courtney, "I do believe it's your turn. Have you been able to think of anything?"
"After seeing what just happened to Jennifer, I really don't care," she said happily as she began stripping of her clothes and jewelry. "You just let the computer decide and we'll see what happens."
Once the last piece of her clothing was removed, Courtney rushed into the glass chamber, closed the door and gave Robert and Jennifer a big thumbs up.
"Has she always been this eager?" Robert asked Jennifer over his shoulder.
Taking a series of short hops, Jennifer bounded over to stand next to Robert. She was still getting used to her new form, but the thrill was amazing. "You could say that," Jennifer answered. "So what did the computer come up with?"
"Something I don't think she'll like," Robert said sadly. He pointed to the screen so Jennifer could see the computer’s choice.
Jennifer was about to agree with Robert, when they were both startled by Courtney pounding on the chamber wall. It was difficult to hear but they could just make out what she was saying. "C'mon, let's go."
A devilish grin spread across Jennifer's transformed features. "You heard her Robert, let's go."
With a shrug, Robert said, "Okay, I just need to enter in some specifics. We'll keep the body size and shape, relatively the same. Feet, 100%. Legs, 60%, no 75%. Tail, yes. Torso and chest, I think 75% will do. Hands, let's see how 25% works. Arms, 50%. Now for the face, eyes, 0%. Ears, nose and mouth, 100%. And we'll leave the hair alone as well. Fill in the spaces with fur and that should just about do it." Robert said as he initiated the device.
Jennifer flashed Courtney a thumbs up with her transformed fingers, which she returned happily.
"I can't wait," Courtney thought to herself eagerly. "This is so cool. I wonder what the computer picked?"
She heard the machine begin to hum and when she looked up, Courtney noticed that the lights had started to blink rapidly. She knew she didn't have long to wait before the changes started to occur. Eagerly, she began to watch her body closely for changes.
The first thing she noticed was that she was sprouting white and black hairs all over her body. She was too excited about her transformation to think about what animal she was actually becoming.
Courtney looked down and was shocked to see the toes on her feet merge together. She lifted her left foot, as high as she could, so she could get a better look at the changes. Seeing her feet change into hooves was incredible. Her balance was off, due to standing on hooves, instead of feet. But she knew she would get used to it quickly.
"This is so cool," she said aloud, even though no one could hear what she said.
When she looked up, she saw a big smile spread across her friends transformed features. She motioned to give her friend another thumbs up, when she noticed that her hands were changing. Courtney stared as her pinky and ring finger merged together, just as her middle and pointer fingers were doing. The tips of her merged fingers and thumbs only slightly developed into hooves. "This must be so I can still open doors and stuff," she thought as she marveled at the changes.
It was difficult for Jennifer to contain her laughter at the sight of her friend transforming. She hoped that her muzzle and body movements were not too obvious. Jennifer consciously had to stop herself from bouncing.
While she was staring at her hands, Courtney noticed that her nose was pushing away from her face, just as Jennifer's had. She placed her hands on either side of her rapidly expanding muzzle. It was amazing, she could feel the changes with her hands, but not through her face.
"I can't wait to see what I am," she thought to herself.
She was about ready to open the door and run to the mirror, when she felt a strange sensation. It felt like her chest was getting heavier. When she looked down, her mouth dropped open in shock. Her breasts had nearly doubled in size. They were so big that they had begun to sag. That was when she noticed that they weren't sagging, but slowly moving down her chest. As she watched, she was stunned to see her breasts merge together, but more so when her nipples extend and split into four long teats.
Courtney looked up in shock and realization to see Jennifer laughing uncontrollably. "I'm a cow?!" she said loudly.
That was when she felt something tickle the back of her knees. She turned, and with a transformed hand, lifted the furry tail that had grown from the base of her spine.
As Robert opened the door, Courtney could hear her friend's laughs easier. "This is not funny," she said forcefully as she angrily clomped out of the chamber. "Why the hell did you change me into a cow?"
"You said you didn't care and to let the computer decide," Robert soothed. "And when it came up with cow, we were going to make the computer pick again, but you seemed so eager, that we would just see what would happen."
"This is awful," she said with a snort.
"C'mon Court, it's not that bad," Jennifer said happily. "You should really check yourself out in the mirror. You are one sexy bovine babe."
Reluctantly, Courtney walked over to the mirror, her hooves clicked on the tile floor. When she saw her reflection in the mirror, her mood transformed quicker than her body did. "I look great," she said emphatically. "This might not be so bad after all." She began to pose in suggestive positions that showed off her new form. Like her friend, she could still see the facial resemblance through all the changes.
"I've got an idea," Jennifer exclaimed. "With you as a cow, David could go as a milk maid."
"Brilliant," Robert exclaimed.
"That's a great idea Jen," Courtney replied. "It's perfect. I know that David loves putting on women's clothes for a laugh."
"Now that everything is settled, why don't the two of you get used to moving around in your new forms for a while," Robert advised. "Just take it easy at first, we don't want you to get a sprain or anything on the first day. We'll reverse the process in about fifteen minutes, if that's okay with you."
"Sounds good," Courtney said as she started to walk around the room.
With that, Robert left the two ladies to be by them selves for a bit.
"I have to hand it to you Court, this is awesome," Jennifer said as she hopped slowly around the room."
"I told you," Courtney replied. "The more I think about it, the more I like being a cow. It has real possibilities for the movie."
"Besides, I think David is going to like your larger bust," Jennifer said with a laugh.
"You're probably right," Courtney answered. "He likes 'em big and bouncy." With that, Courtney grabbed one of her teats and gave it a little tug. To her shock, a stream of milk squirted on to the floor. But what shocked her even more, was the wave of pleasure that shot through her body.
"Be careful there," Jennifer said with a smile. "Remember, that isn’t a costume you're wearing. You are one, fully functional heifer."
The ladies had a good laugh as the continued to get used to their new forms.
Several minutes later, Robert came back into the room, "How're you ladies doing?" he asked.
"I think it's safe to say, that we approve of the changes," Courtney said with sincere appreciation.
"Great," Robert replied. "Then why don't we reverse the process and schedule another session between now and the night of the party. There is one thing that I need to discuss with you both. Neither of you will be able to drive to the party and will need to make other transportation arrangements."
"That shouldn't be a big deal," Jennifer answered. "I was planning on getting a limo anyway. What about you Court? Want to share a limo?"
Courtney thought for a moment before answering, "I don't think we should share a limo. That might be too conspicuous."
"You're probably right," Jennifer said. "Here's a weird idea. Instead of you and David getting a limo, he could always bring you in a cattle trailer."
"That's inspired," Robert exclaimed happily. "You would most certainly gain everyone's attention that way."
"I like it," Courtney said happily. "This just keeps getting better and better."
In less than twenty minutes, both women were back to their normal selves and dressed. They had scheduled their next practice session with the receptionist and both women left happily. Eagerly awaiting all the attention that they were sure to get at the party.
----------------------------------------
"The stars are shimmering brightly tonight at Universal's Halloween gala," Brooke Burke said into the camera. Her revealing, leopard print bikini with tattered ends, hung loosely; barely covering her breasts. She was reporting from the entrance to the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios Los Angeles as stars paraded past while photographers snapped picture after picture. "But it's easy to tell the stars through their elaborate and original costumes. I mean, what good is a costume if people don't know who you are. But there are several stars who have surpassed all others in creativity, originality and realism."
The camera then cut to a tall slender woman with blonde hair slowly spinning around to show off her body to the camera. What made her stand out was the fact the she was covered from head to toe with sandy brown hair with some darker brown spots. Her feet and hands had clawed digits. You could actually see the pleasure she was receiving from stroking her long bushy tail. The camera then cut to a close-up of the woman's face. Even though her nose was an upturned triangle that pushed away from her face into a narrow muzzle with whiskers on both sides and pointy ears poked through her short blonde hair, it was easy to tell who she was. The smile, although filled with pointy teeth, was unmistakable.
"Cameron Diaz looks seductively stunning as a slender mongoose," Brooke said as a voice over. "It's one of the many authentic animal costumes that seem to be everywhere. When we asked her where she got it, she said..."
"Didn't I tell you," she said with a laugh, "I was going to be snow white, when this evil witch turned me into a mongoose. So, I thought I might as well make the best of it."
"But Cameron Diaz isn't the only fetching creature at the party," Brooke said in a voice-over as the camera cut to another animalistic starlet.
Whether out of genuine fear or simply acting, the camera jumped as a woman with canine features snarled and lunged forward. The video then cut to a wider shot of the same woman showing herself off to the camera. Her hands and feet were tipped with pointy black claws and her entire body was covered in brown fur with a series of black spots on either side. Her black hair was styled in a way to make it look like she had a shaggy mane running down to her lower back, which was highlighted by a short furry tail. Though again, her face had a wide muzzle and large ears poking through the top of her hair, the eyes, and more obvious, lips revealed her identity.
"You look more dangerous than usual Angelina," Brooke said in mock fear.
"Isn't this great?" Angelina asked. "I wanted to be different, you know, really stand out. Have you ever seen a better hyena costume? Have you ever seen a hyena costume, period?"
"But why a hyena?" Brooke asked.
Angelina laughed a throaty laugh that sounded similar to a hyena's laugh, before answering. "Seeing as there are all these rumors on the internet about me playing a werewolf in my next movie, I thought it would be cool to be a different kind of canine predator. Just to mess with them."
"The most unique animal by far would have to be Reese Witherspoon's poison arrow frog," Brooke said again in voice-over as the camera cut to a woman covered from head to toe with smooth black skin covered with brilliant yellow spots and stripes. The only parts of her that looked remotely human were her eyes and general shape.
"Reese, why a poison arrow frog?" she asked as she put the microphone in front of Reese's mouth. "Is this some statement about the rainforests?"
"Yeah, I mean, if we don't stop cutting them down, the whole planet will die," she replied. "I'm here to show that there is beauty in the rainforests and if we don't change our ways, it could be gone forever."
"Tell me, is that comfortable?" Brooke asked.
"It's almost like a second skin," she answered with a smile.
"So are you poisonous?" Brooke asked as she tentatively poked Reese's shiny black arm.
Reese turned her back to Brooke and looked over her shoulder before answering, "Lick my back and find out."
"But by far, the best entrance of the night has to go to David Arquette and wife Courtney Cox Arquette," she said in voice over as the video cut to show a man dressed in a long blue gingham dress opening the back of a horse trailer then leading out a woman dressed like a cow with a large bell hanging around her neck.

Inside a well appointed office at DiNA-tech, three men are gathered around a large screen TV, happily watching E!'s special "Wild On: Halloween special".
"I’ve got to hand it to ya Titan," West Green said as he took a sip of champagne. "This was a great idea. Conning famous women into allowing us to transform them into animals."
"Don't forget that they paid us to transform them," the Mad Titan replied as he raised his glass of champagne. "And we'll make even more money selling the video of them transforming to everyone in the TF community. But the real praise should go to Doc for letting us use his Lab for our plan."
"Gentlemen, please," Doc said as he stood and bowed. "It's due to all of us working together that we were able to make the fantasies of thousands of people become real while making a wondrous profit."
The group turned to watch the show continue, each smiling as they saw Brooke Burke interviewing Jennifer Aniston about her kangaroo "costume".
"You know what would be funny?" the Mad Titan asked. "We turn off all the lights and lock the doors, so that when they return to be changed back, they'll think they're stuck that way forever."
The three men shared a laugh as Kirsten Dunst showed off her red-tailed hawk costume for the cameras.
