Procedure:
All subjects held in observation/living space complete with floor drain. Level 2 quarantine in effect. Only male employees may inspect fruits, or females if they ask really nicely.
Observations:
All subjects are without any physical human indicators save the navel that lies in the middle of their body. This singular orifice has taken on the role of their reproductive system, producing nectar from within that serves to lure in prey. The juices of the fruit have shown to have a sedative, euphoric effect that affects the host and secondary subjects, trapping them in a state of tranquility and bliss. The scent given off by this fluid affects the dopamine levels in the brain, blurring judgment and making the acquisition of nectar the sole priority the subject. Ingestion of the fruits nectar immediately and permanently alters the biochemistry of the subject, transfiguring them into another fruit. These effects are limited only to females, most likely due to the gender of the initial carrier.
Scans indicate that the skeletal structure and almost all internal organs have dissolved into the juices that fill each fruit. The brain and nervous system are stretched out along the inside and outside of the fruit’s skin, granting incredible tactile sensitivity and a human-level capability of sight and hearing in all directions. Fruits taste and smell nothing but their own juices. Psychic communications show that all fruit have retained their human sentience and intelligence, if scrambled slightly by the hormonal cocktail, euphoria and constant physical stimulus. Their purely liquid insides intensify even the smallest of vibrations or any kind of contact, and it seems any physical sensation is translated by the pleasure centre. They are capable of rudimentary noises, namely grunting and moaning, by vibrations of their skin. Despite the perceived softness and sensitivity, the skin is very resilient, resisting needles and scalpels.
A single fruit will produce roughly 90 litres of nectar every hour, at a rate of 250 ml every ten seconds. This juice is discharged by a valve at the back of the fruit’s navel, erupting outwards at high pressure, spreading the nectar to attract prey. Each discharge creates a sensation for the host similar to sexual climax, the frequency of which does nothing to reduce their potency. The organic bioparadox known as "The Bloat" is present in other fruit cases is evident here, granting them a potentially inexhaustible supply of juices.
Prognosis:
The structural similarities to a stage three berry, the high rate at which the fruits replenish their internal juices and the lack of extremities all make juicing impossible. Through psychic communication, the fruits have all expressed their contentment, along with a desire to be stored together as a group. This request has been met, rolling all fruits into a communal living area, complete with padded floors and basic amenities. The room has been fitted with several quantum drains to dispose of uncollected nectar. Due to the highly contagious nature of the fruit, visitation and off-site transport must be cleared and all safety precautions observed.

The family of Subject 3 demanded custody of their daughter shortly after the incident. Amalgatech representatives complied, providing them with quarantine instructions and a supply of medical bags to collect the nectar until a pump could be installed. Within the same evening, an incorrectly placed seal resulted in a breach of quarantine and the berrification of 3’s mother and older sister. After a renegotiation with the father and brother, the Haghighis were moved back into Amalgatech quarters. This incident has made off-site holding and visitations strongly discouraged, and only under the proper safety conditions.
Addendum 02:
13: Natalie Phelps
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Designation: Fruit – Misc.
Diameter: 2.2 Meters Circumference: 6.9 Meters
14: Dr. Denise Walker
Age: 35
Gender: Female
Designation: Fruit-Misc.
Diameter: 2.2 Meters Circumference: 6.9 Meters
During transportation of subject 11, a slip up caused a minor leak, which was quickly contained and mopped up. The only female present in the area, an intern by the name of Natalie Phelps, was prevented from imbibing any of the leaked nectar, but was still exposed. A day later, she managed to enter the observation room during an evening shift, where she was quickly transformed. The staff scientist that observed the incident; Dr. Walker was never exposed to the juice in any way, shape or form. Nevertheless, three days later she removed her clean suit during routine maintenance and ingested a vast quantity of the nectar, entirely of her own volition. This has reopened questions regarding the nature of these fruits, and whether a memetic agent is at play in their ability to lure in subjects.
Final Notes: I've honestly gotten tired of trying to remember all of these berries names, so I've just had Raymond paint numbers on all of them. They honestly don't seem to mind.
To be honest, there isn't much more we can do for this case beyond keep it contained and learn from it. The subjects are perfectly content and fully converted, leaving us with some enticing options of what to do with this new berry mutation. This is easily the most intense and aggressive example of berrification that we've ever seen, and the "honeytrap" qualities of the juice have given us a few ideas. I've sent a well secured vial to one of our biochemisty labs to see if they can't extrapolate a few of the base horomones, which will be invaluable to our long term plans. I also sent a sample with a very loose lid to another biochemistry lab full of some folks who could afford to loosen up a bit.
Given the constant production of juice by way of each berry's personal Bloat bioparadox, we also have an excellent chance to explore the source of The Bloat. Their physiology can also tell us a lot about our current berrification methods and how to improve them in future trials.
Damn, I've been hanging around the Bellyfruits for too long. I've caught myself staring at them and hankering back to my own spherical days. Being a juiced berry can sometimes be a struggle of willpower, and the possibility of a memetic agent at play hasn't been entirely ruled out, meaning that I might be at risk. Granted, this particular permutation looks like a very viable retirement plan. I'll add it to my list once I transfer to a new case file.
