TF Lottery: Couples Special

Warning: Never attempt to drink any of Amalgatech’s more amorphous personnel without their consent. Contamination, expulsion or unexpected fusion can and will occur.

Maggie jogged down one of the infuriatingly long and numerous hallways that seemed to comprise the bulk of her new workplace. The new salesgirl had been working at the Amalgatech facility for two weeks now, and she was just starting to hit her stride. That hadn’t been easy. It seemed as though all of the weird, strange and outlandish things that existed in day-to-day life had been brought together and concentrated in this one sprawling factory complex, and it was her job to try to convince people that the products this place turned out were actually safe and worth buying. Some days that was more difficult than others.
Maggie herself was one of those outlandish things nowadays, thanks to a mishap with a sterilizing machine. She was a bright pink from head to toe, due to being comprised completely of bubble gum, and could potentially look forward to that for the rest of her life. The transition from human to living candy hadn’t been as difficult to adapt to as Megan feared. She didn’t stick to anything she didn’t want to, and her natural sweet scent did away with the need for deodorant. The only major problem was that fact that as BUBBLEgum, part of her physiology demanded that she inflate into a massive, hollow sphere. This could be circumvented by any kind of puncture in her skin to release the air, but Maggie lived with the constant, niggling unease that the navel ring that served that purpose would fall out one day, leaving her to blow up and drift away on a summer breeze.

Megan paused, glancing in front and behind her, damning the labyrinthine construction of the factory for the umpteenth time. She quickened her pace, clutching a small messenger tube under her arm.
“Cassandra Himura’s Office, Cassandra Himura’s Office” she repeated in her head, picking a left turn at random. She had been working here long enough to know that the key to finding your way around the place was to think hard about your destination and start walking. Megan had no idea what exactly she was ferrying to her senior co-worker, but she had an inkling as to why Cassie had asked for her. The mischievous executive had taken a shine to Megan ever since she had been scraped out of gears of the company chewing machine. Maggie blushed slightly at the memory; ever since that trip through the machine, she’d been itching for another chance to try it again.
Maggie was caught in her reverie as she rounded another corner, barreling straight into a man who had been travelling in the opposite direction. The two gave out a collective yelp as they hit the ground in a tangled heap, leaving Maggie’s tube skidding along the hallway and the stack of cards that the stranger was carrying scattered between them.
“Oh, oh jeez. I’m so sorry” Maggie babbled, rising to her feet, unintentionally dragging the man behind her.
“I think I’ve got your…elbow in my hair” He motioned to a gooey mass stuck above his ear, connected to Maggie’s left arm by a few sagging, pink strands.
Maggie winced as she gave her arm a tug, effortlessly separating herself from the man’s head, her forearm quickly adopting its original shape.
“Thank heavens” the stranger sighed, brushing at his messy brown hair “For a second there, I thought we’d have to break out the peanut butter” He promptly dropped back to his knees, gathering up his spilled cards. Megan joined, collecting her own stack of the iridescent, purple tickets.
“My name’s Megan…by the way” she added.
The man waved slightly without looking up. “Pleasure”
The two straightened up, Megan passing the stranger his property before retrieving her own package. She began to walk past him as they said almost simultaneously “Pardon me, but I need to see Ms. Himura”
Maggie blinked. “You too?”
“Oh yes” the man replied “Dreadfully important that she get’s these” he waved the assortment of billets in his hand, this time secured with a rubber band. Now that he was fully standing, Maggie could see that he was a gangly, tall man. Megan had never considered herself a shorter girl, but this man stood a full head and a half over her, with a rail thin physique that gave him a silhouette reminiscent of a scarecrow. He smoothed his ruffled vest slightly and straightened his tie with a dry smile. “Well, obviously we were meant to head there together, or else the factory wouldn’t have directed us into each other. It’s what happens when you give a building fourth-dimensional perception”
“You seem to know an awful lot about this place” Megan replied.
“Well of course” the man’s grin widened. “I helped design it”
The two began to walk in unison, the hall in front of them lengthening slightly in order to give them more time to chat.
“So what do you do around here, are you a designer or architect or something?” The young woman inquired.
“Or something” the stranger concurred. “Really, I’m just a tinkerer that got lucky enough to find some people that put value in my skills.”
“And what exactly do you tinker with? This isn’t the kind of place that employs an amateur watchmaker” The young woman asked.
The man shrugged. “No, I deal with much more…fundamental forces.”  The stack of tickets began to change hands as he tossed it back and forth. “Take these little beauties. It came to me a few weeks ago while I was reading about the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, fascinating stuff.” He turned to Megan “It’s just a little rule that says you can’t measure more than one variable at a time during a physics equation. But what really grabbed me was how some people linked that into chaos theory and claimed that, however astronomical the chances may be, there’s a possibility that you could suddenly sprout a fluffy tail and start nibbling on carrots, or have your material structure reconfigured into that of a chair or something, all because you can’t chart the position of particles without losing track of their trajectory.”
“But that’s bullshit” Maggie added “Right?” She glanced over her shoulder at her rump, checking for any new protrusions.
“Oh” The tall stranger nodded “Completely. But it got me thinking, about uncertainty and the fun to be had with playing probability. About that whole ‘chances of turning into a rabbit or a chair’ thing.” He held up the cards “My new toy here helps those chances become a little less remote”.
“Why am I not surprised” Maggie scoffed, starting to chew on her own tounge.
“It’s kind of our specialty around here” The man continued. “In case you hadn’t noticed.” He tugged on Megan’s arm, yanking her down a left turn as he continued. “First, I started with just animals, you know, simple little fusion enchantments that any mage worth his runes could toss together. Now I’m going to pitch the updated version to Cassie, more options, wider variables, slightly more complicated mechanics, you know, that sort of thing. I’ve always believed-“A sparkle came into his eye “That true power over our world comes from a fusion of magic and technology”
“You lost me at the end there, but it sounds like fun” Megan stated honestly.
The two came to a stop, having arrived at the large, oaken double doors of Cassandra Himura’s office, which swung wide of their own accord, in a manner that managed to be both inviting and unsettling. Ms. Himura could be seen inside, reclining in her office chair with her feet up on the table.
“Good morning to both of you” She called out, before fixing her gaze on the man next to Maggie. “Are those new tickets ready for a trial release yet?”
The gentleman strode past Megan. “Hot off the presses and ready for a test drive, you got anyone in mind?”
Maggie recoiled slightly as Cassandra’s eyes flickered across her.
“I have a few in mind” the kitsune responded. “But first I have a few questions about those things, step inside, would you?” She beckoned. “Maggie dear, this might get a tad personal, so if you could just wait out there?”
Megan nodded as the man turned to her “This may take a while” He winked at her “See you later Princess Bubblegum”
Maggie rolled her eyes as the doors slammed shut again. “I can’t BELIEVE that’s the first time I’ve been called that.”

“Well THAT was a disaster.” Sarah complained as she burst through the door to her flat, followed quickly by her long standing boyfriend, Tyler.

“Last time I show up for my aunt and uncle’s anniversary” He grumbled, shedding his sopping wet sweater as Sarah attempted to strain some of the moisture out of her long brown hair. “Every single year they just stare lovingly into each other’s eyes, while the entirety of our extended family sits around feeling awkward.”
It would have just been another uncomfortable family affair if not for the freak rain storm, which had succeeded in drenching all those attending, including the young couple that had just managed to make it past the threshold of their domicile.

As Sarah slipped off her shoes, Tyler ducked his head back outside, returning a second later with a handful of damp envelopes. He sifted through the day’s mail, almost missing a small, violet envelope that slipped from between his fingers and landed between the two. Sarah picked it up inquisitively, opening it and allowing the contents; two iridescent purple cards, to fall into hand.
“Who sent us that?” Tyler asked while toweling off his straw yellow hair.
“Doesn’t say” The young woman responded, inspecting both sides of the tickets and their vessel. “No addresses, no postage, just…hold on” She pulled out the only other contents of the strange delivery, a slip of paper that bore just two words: Good Luck and Enjoy.

“Looks like a lottery ticket” Tyler commented, taking one of the slips from his girlfriend. “We may already be a winner!” He grinned goofily.
Sarah returned his smile “Well tell you what, I’ll put on a movie and we can scratch away to win fabulous prizes. But first…” she crept closer and wrapped an arm around Tyler’s head “Let’s get out of these wet things”.

Within a few minutes, the young couple was curled up on their couch, sharing a blanket as they watched whatever sappy romantic film Tyler had picked out to get Sarah in the mood; her in an oversized T-shirt and him in a light pair of pajama pants. He took a sip of warm tea and reached for the tickets, almost forgotten on the adjoining lamp table.
“Alright” the man said, passing his better half one of the cards “Let’s just scratch these and get it over with, I’m getting impatient”

“Suit yourself” Sarah shrugged as they both rubbed away the reflective coating on the lottery slips, revealing twin sets of bizarre, illegible glyphs.

“What the hell is this supposed to mean?” Sarah grimaced. Before Tyler could respond or even react, both of their tickets suddenly detonated in twin flashes of light, his in a bright green, her own in a deep red. Sarah tumbled out of Tyler’s lap in alarm as he tried to blink the spots out of his eyes. Within seconds, the young man was up, helping his girlfriend to her feet. She rose slowly, smacking her lips as if she was trying to get a bizarre taste off of her tounge.
“Are you alright?” Tyler asked in concern.
Sarah screwed her face in concentration, as if trying to remember something. “I’m fine, just…I taste…shiny”
Tyler raised an eyebrow “Are you…sure you’re okay?”
Sarah’s eyes widened “Are you?”
He blinked as a wave of dizziness washed over him. “Huh?”

It was Sarah’s turn to be worried. “Um…Tyler, sweetie? You’re growing boobs.”
Tyler looked down, his vision swimming. He groaned in confusion as he watched the flesh on his chest start to bulge and fill, twin hemispheres appearing to be pumped full of fat from an alien source. One hand absentmindedly drifted up to fondle his new attributes.
“Tyler!” Sarah scolded, unaware of her own changing physique.
The subject of the reprimand looked up at his girlfriend with a bewildered look of guilt. He squinted, scanning his girlfriends face in the dim light. Either she had developed a hell of a tan in the last hour, or her skin colour had been changed to a deep, rich brown. It was only after a second of craning his neck to look her in the eyes that he realized; he only came up to her shoulder.
“Sarah, I’m shrinking…and, you’re growing!” he exclaimed.
Sarah tried to grab at her gradually reducing boyfriend, only to find it uncharacteristically hard to bend over. She examined herself in alarm, discovering a significant bulge in her midsection that was only growing in size.

“What’s happening to us?” Sarah moaned, poking at her swelling middle, slowly backing away. Tyler moved forward to comfort her, only to find himself toppling forward, barely halting his fall with his arms. The newly buxom young man glanced backwards, realizing exactly why he was growing so short.
His legs were gone.
Not so much “Gone” as they were “Dissolved into a puddle of lime green goop attached to his thighs” but the effect was still the same. He could only watch as Sarah continued to bloat, her belly and crotch melding together into a sphere, giving her brown body a chubby pear shape that would have trouble fitting through a hula hoop. Whatever was filling her up seemed to be heavy, as she shifted from foot to foot watching her thighs grow thicker, slowly assimilating into her round midsection. At this point, everything south of her belly button was poking out from underneath her stretching shirt, the taxed piece of fabric riding up her ovoid form. The swelling moved upwards, targeting her breasts as they swiftly gained mass, growing from baseballs, to melons, to soccer balls in short order. Even now, the bloated mammaries easily rested on the shelf that her belly had become.
“No need to be jealous” Tyler grunted as the base of his ribcage started to liquefy, his pants floating in the slimy mass of his lower body. “Your boobs are WAY nicer than mine”

Sarah felt ready to yell at her boyfriend again when she drew her gaze on him “Oh god!” She gaped “You’re melting!”
“You don’t say” he coughed as his lungs slid out of his chest cavity, mixing in with his stomach and intestines before they all collapsed into the same green substance as the rest of him. A wet gurgling was all that emanated from his mouth as he tried to speak.
Sarah made the effort to lumber over to him, but her body had absorbed both legs past her knees and all she could muster was a teetering waddle on fat, conical shins. Her arms had started to swell, her hands nervously patting at her bare, distended sides. Her breasts surged forward again, each twice as large as her head, held in check only by the t-shirt that lay was stretched tightly across the deep mahogany orbs. Sarah could barely see over her own bust as she called out Tyler’s name.

Tyler would have responded if he could, but lacked the respiratory system to do so. He felt tears run down his cheeks, recognizing a second later that those were his eyes, dripping out of their sockets. He opened his mouth and his tounge oozed out like a cup of green drool, splashing into the second pool that his arms had sunk into up to their elbows. His vision began to blur as his entire face started to come apart like an ice sculpture in the sun. He mustered enough strength to look upwards and burbled out something that barely sounded like “Sarah” before collapsing entirely into a pile of emerald liquid on the floor.

Sarah’s growth continued unabated as she called out Tyler’s name again, almost oblivious to his fate. Her left foot landed in something slippery and slid out from underneath her, causing massive backside to come crashing to the floor, a very short trip all points considered. The momentum caused her to rock onto her rounded back, where she remained as the changes completed, what was left of her spread eagle limbs gave one last wiggle of defiance before being pulled into her spherical body, even her mammoth breasts becoming widened domes atop what was once her chest but was now her northern hemisphere. Her shoulders, back and collar pressed into her neck as a smell finally reached the colossal woman’s nose. A rich, sweet smell that reminded her of trips to the confectionery and freshly baked cookies. The unmistakable smell of the chocolate which she was almost entirely composed of. Her skin and hair took on an unnaturally smooth, uniform sheen as the last of the changes asserted themselves. She lay on her back, half of her vision obscured by her own bulk, twelve feet at its widest point, as she quietly whimpered for help, alone in the house with only the flickering TV to illuminate the scene.

Tyler stirred. He was without sight or hearing, but he could still feel the wooden paneling of the floor beneath him as he slowly returned to consciousness.
“What had happened?” He wondered as he tried to open eyes he no longer possessed. The answer came to him in a rush. A rainy celebration, a movie, lottery tickets. The last thing he remembered was Sarah blowing up like a big brown ball as he melted into the floor like the Wicked Witch of the West.

“Alright” he told himself  “Obviously you’re not dead, you’re just melted into a puddle on the floor. With breasts. Sarah might need your help. Are you paralyzed?” He tried to wiggle his fingers and was rewarded with the sensation of movement. “If you’re can move your body, then stand up”. He ran into difficulty there. It wasn’t as though his legs weren’t responding, he could feel them, he just couldn’t locate them. As the disassociated young man tried to locate the different parts of his body, all he could muster was the sensation of his knees in his ears and his eyeballs where his kidneys should be. The pool of green goo on the floor rippled in aggravation

“You’re going about this the wrong way” He realized. “You’re assigning actions to body parts that no longer exist” He quite literally did not have a leg to stand on. “Throw the concept of limbs or even a skeletal system out the window and see yourself as a homogeneous substance. No bones, no muscles or nervous system, like water. Or Jello.” The mass of goo grew still.
“Now” he said. “Get up”.
To an outside observer, it would appear as though someone were rising from the slime on a pedestal. First a head appeared, and then a neck and shoulders, followed by a bosomed torso and arms, then the liquid flared slightly as a pair of rounded hips crested the surface of the pool, followed by a pair of svelte, tapered legs.

Tyler looked himself over, wondering if he had gotten something wrong. He was definitely standing, but his entire body was the same brilliant green as before, and translucent enough to allow the light from the TV to pass clean through with a slight grassy tinge. Slightly less alarming, but equally odd was the curvature of Tyler’s new body. The shoulders were much slimmer than before, accompanying the reduced girth of the arms. The breasts weren’t nearly as much a departure from before as Tyler would have liked, but the hourglass shape of his torso and widened hips was definitely new. Tyler glanced further downwards, noting the lack of anything remotely male between the rounded, voluptuous thighs. The gooey creature’s body was entirely and unequivocally female, from the delicate, maternal features to the rounded, emphasized buttocks, and without a thread of clothing to disguise her curvaceous figure. She shut her eyes and tried to envision herself returning to her original, masculine form, but could only tremble like gelatin in response to this physical request. Tyler let out a sigh as she opened her eyes, then looked forward, straight at the distended nether regions of her significant other.

“Sarah!” Tyler cried out, her voice still sounding as though it was being bubbled through tar. She coughed, trying to arrange a system of vocal chords within her goopy throat, when Sarah responded.
“Tyler!” she yelled “Tyler is that you? God, it feels like it’s been hours since I heard anybody”
“Calm down babe” Tyler responded, clearer this time, but with a definite feminine lilt. She poked at Sarah’s smooth, oddly hardened flesh. “I’m right here. It’s just” She winced, trying to find a way to explain her recent alterations. “I’ve changed a bit. And…I’m not sure if you want to see me like this”

“Tyler” Sarah responded, her voice much calmer, with that sarcastic twinge that it was known for. “I don’t know about you, but I’ve just inflated into a megasized chocolate truffle and judging by where your voice is coming from, you’re taking an all expenses paid sightseeing tour of my south pole. I think I can handle it”
“Okay” Tyler muttered “Let me see your face” She reached upwards, her arms extending far beyond the normal human range as she rolled her girlfriend towards her, Sarah’s head barely clearing the ceiling. Then Tyler shifted her entire mass up along the line her arms traced to Sarah’s head, oozing upwards along the giant truffle’s curved plane. With that little bit of fluid gymnastics done, Tyler lay spread along Sarah’s body, their faces inches from each other.

“Tyler” Sarah whispered, the shock in her voice only there for a moment. “You look…dainty”
The slime girl averted her eyes as a viscous lock of hair fell across her face. “I think.” She started to say. “I think this is permanent. I can’t-” genuine tears started to roll down her face “I can’t change back. I don’t think I can be a guy again. I don’t know what to do. I can’t…fix it. I-“
Sarah shushed her transgendered boyfriend, her hands wiggling vainly in attempt to embrace and comfort her. “It’s okay” she smiled, her cherubic face carrying no hint of worry or disgust. “I don’t care, about what you are or what I am. You’re still my Tyler and we’ll find a way to make this work. We can get through this. Together”
“I don’t know what will happen” The goo girl replied.
“We have all the time in the world to figure it out” Sarah yawned. “In the morning”

Tyler gave a heaving sound of contentment before curling up around Sarah’s head like a snake, her moist lips brushing the chocolate girls own. Sarah turned her head and the two shared a deep, passionate kiss.
“You taste really good” Tyler grinned sheepishly.
The two settled into slumber, thoroughly exhausted by the evening’s events. Tyler’s slimy form lost definition as consciousness slipped away from her. “Love you” she muttered.
“Love you too” Sarah answered back.
