Then one day, Sadie took Femke from the aquarium, and I was left behind. I had a pretty good idea what was going to happen. Femke would meet my dolphin. Or maybe her own. I figured I'd find out soon.

But then the vet took me as well from my home. For a few small fixes she said. And I was taken to the operation room. I was not to worry, she said. She'd improve my air capacity like she'd done with Femke. And after I was strapped in she injected something in me and all went black once more.

Waking up, I was fully immersed in water, which was a comforting feeling. Incredible how quickly that became the new normal. I felt pain in my chest, my belly, my tail, even my hands. But whatever they had given me, I blacked out again.

Apparently these things always get better the second time. I was still underwater but I noticed Femke staring at me. I was back home. I lifted my hand to her and was shocked to see transparent skin between my fingers. I was improved. When I sat up I asked her how long I was gone. It had been two months. Two long months that she had spent alone, as new life grew inside her.

To me it was only yesterday that she was going to meet our dolphin. And she remembered every moment of it. How, like me, she had explored the ocean at first. How the dolphin had appeared, clearly horny. How she had taken control, and essentially gave him a blow job. How excited he was, ready to cum. How she just managed to get him to blow his load in her slit. How she'd felt it in her womb. How they had sex three more times. How she eventually did take his load in her mouth. How he fed her fish and weed. How he brought her a gift.

She showed me the string of pearls the dolphin had brought her. And when she hugged him, he had taken her back all the way to the coast. Three days in a row they had mated, and clearly she was pregnant from him. I remembered how Sadie had had the plan to inject him with male sperm, so it must have worked.

Femke's face was so radiant, framed by her beautiful red hair. Pregnancy looked good on her. I was just sorry I had missed the early weeks. She explained how she had craved for the raw fish and seaweed, and how Sadie eventually found a way to get it to her. The vet had only the day before given her a complete checkup, and the pregnancy was so far tip top. And now that I was back, everything was perfect.

It was fun to see her belly grow over time, knowing that a baby was growing in there. In the final trimester Sadie wanted to know if she was okay with an underwater birth. Although it would be in a special bath in the operation room. Femke was fine with it, as long as I was there with her. At that, Sadie smiled, saying of course the father is welcome.

So, apparently when they transformed me, before they took my manhood, they had pumped me for a week in a row or so, collecting a massive amount of sperm, that they later injected in her dolphins scrotum. Which made her pregnant. And technically I was the father. They had filtered the sperm in a way that gave the best chance for a girl, and it had proven to be successful, based on the last echo's.

Before the due date I went in some kind of heat, and I was taken away to see my dolphin. The guy was super horny, smelling my slit all over, before he took me. I don't know how many times he came, or I came, but it was different than before. It didn't feel like anal to me anymore, like his snake was right in my belly.

Long story short, I was pregnant as well. Somehow the vet had transplanted a womb in my body, with ovaries and what all not, and the dolphin must have had the human sperm again. So our soon to be born daughter would get a sister. Femke was thrilled, both for me and for another child. She wanted a large family.

As I went through morning sickness and an urge for fish, raw fish, Ariel was born. It only seemed logic to name her after the most famous mermaid in the world. I had no idea that a human child could be born underwater, but the vet knew what she was doing. Thank goodness there were no complications and Femke was a trooper. If only in nine months I could be that strong.

My breasts were conditioned to start producing milk, so both Femke and I could feed our baby, and more importantly, bond with her. Never did I experience such a wonderful feeling. It was only natural that the baby could spend relatively long underwater and she would float to the surface when she needed to breath.

The vet suggested to give the baby a mermaid tail right away, so she'd never know any better. Femke however wanted it to be her own choice, so we'd wait a few years. I had no doubt on that choice though, given the fact she was totally in her element, in the water.

Ariel grew fast, much faster than my belly. It was fun how she recognized us both as her mother, but she had a different attitude with us. She was quiet and happy in Femke's arms, yet with me she was active, mostly touching my belly and kissing it and listening to it. Like she was bonding already with her unborn sister. And in my second trimester her sister started sending signals back.

At first the feeling was amazing but then she kept me awake at night, so active was she inside me. And it seemed to never stop. Until I started swimming long stretches, only then she seemed content. It was interesting too, as Femke never had that phase.

There were some problems with the equipment in the vets office. She did manage to check my health and the health of the baby, but the ultrasound wouldn't work anymore, so she couldn't determine the gender of the baby. New parts were ordered but never did I have the pleasure to see my child in my womb. Oh well, that's how it had been for centuries. I could manage through nine months.

When my due date came up, I was much bigger than Femke had ever been, and I wondered if maybe I was having twins. The vet said no, but she could not be 100 percent sure either without the right tools. It was more likely though that the original owner of my womb was much bigger than me. That made so much sense, I actually had forgotten that it wasn't my own.

By now Ariel babbled and swam and every day "chatted" with her sister inside me. By now I had a track in the aquarium that I followed, to keep my baby quiet. Femke laughed that I swam even in my sleep, but I needed my hours. Ariel often tried to keep up with me, but she either had to hang on to me, or she'd play hide and seek along my track, waiting for me to come by and do her peekaboo. And that gave Femke again a bit of rest.

Things got scary when we passed my due date and there was no sign of an upcoming birth. Because the baby remained active a C-section was not deemed necessary. I don't think any woman ever had to go through an extra month, but I did it. Thank God my water finally broke.

The actual birth went real fast now. In only minutes of pushing I was officially a mom. It was indeed a girl. Healthy. With a tail. I had given birth to a dolphin.

Sadie and the vet finally confessed they knew it all along, as the womb was donated by a fatally wounded dolphin. There was never anything wrong with the equipment but they tried to hide the truth from me as long as possible. Just so I wouldn't freak out. They hadn't needed to.

I named her Maya, and she was so beautiful. She latched at my breast right away, eagerly drinking my milk. And she took from Femke as well, who had kept on feeding Ariel. It was the most beautiful sight seeing both Maya and Ariel at her breasts, the two playing already, making soft sounds and laughing. We were a family of four now.

Swimming my track had become a habit that was still needed. Maya stayed perfectly next to me and Ariel did everything she could to keep up. Which meant that she often hung on to Maya who had no problem with that. Femke would join as well, keeping a different eye on the kids.

In the months after Ariel started talking, tiny words at first, Maya being her favorite. Femke was mommy and I was simply mom. When her vocabulary grew the question came soon, why did she not have a tail? And asking her if she wanted one, it was a simple yes!

It was enough for Femke and me, so we talked with Sadie and the vet. It took a bit of calculations as Ariel was still so small. She'd have to get a few over the years to come, to grow with her. But we settled on an oversized tail that she could grow into. It would be hard on her at first to move the tail around, but her muscles were much stronger already than a normal human child would.

A surgery would extend her feet to the fluke. It also meant there was no going back from there. She'd never walk on land, not that she'd tried so far. The surgery went well, and they had her strapped on a special bed near our quarters, so we could stay with her as her body was recovering. Leave it to Sadie as the tail was beautifully pink and it pleased both Ariel and Maya.

It took weeks of physical therapy and pain management but when she was finally allowed to swim by herself we knew we'd made the right choice. She didn't go slow and never would ever again. When fully recovered she could swim as fast as Maya and the two were inseparable. Our beautiful aquarium was quickly becoming too small.

Sadie had recognized that already long before us, and she offered two options. There were ways to add some extra swimways to the aquarium or we could move to her Caribbean island. The first option would help for maybe one or two years, whereas moving would give us all the room, but added dangers as well. We were way beyond being pets to Sadie already, and she made it clear it was our decision and she'd support it.

We decided to move. With Maya growing she would need more space than us mermaids. And Sadie still had plans for more members and it would become too crowded here. So, a few months later we took our place in the tanker to take us to our dolphin beach, where a ship would pick us up and take us to our new home. It wasn't great but we managed in our cramped quarters. It was the toughest on Maya and it proved we were doing the right thing.

In the end it was rewarding. Sadie's island wasn't big but had a serious bay and natural protection from big predators thanks to a large sand bank and a number of rock formations. The bay itself was deep and near the rocks were a series of grottos where we setup our home. Sadie had to give up some luxury although construction was going on building her a brand-new mansion. She planned to spend quite some time with us using a magnificent tail she had purchased.

It was fun to see our kids swim together in formation and skip over the surface like a flat stone. They were growing fast and they had found a way to communicate that went beyond laughing and pointing. We saw them hunt small fish together and they shared the loot, ripping the raw meat with their teeth.

Sadie helped us in teaching the girls basic school stuff, like math, biology and health, and more advanced stuff like oceanography, wildlife and conservation. But sports was their greatest pleasure, and with the arrival of two dolphins, essentially Ariel's and Maya's fathers, we made some decent teams in water volleyball and high jumps. It also got both Femke and me pregnant again. And, surprisingly, Sadie, although that wasn't planned.

Sadie decided to live with us during her pregnancy, as our vet was only occasionally on site. We all grew much closer and both girls really loved showing her around. My pregnancy took an extra month again, during which I saw two new mermaid babies that I technically had fathered again. Sadie had provided special tails that they could wear without any surgery at first, and it really seemed the right thing to do.

We were all breastfeeding any baby. It made the most sense as some of us had to hunt for dinner now, or harvest seaweeds for lunch. Sadie adapted so easily to the new lifestyle of being a mermaid and a mother, I had the impression she would go for it permanently. The mansion was completed and was half underwater, so we could swim inside and watch TV or be at a computer. Both my dolphin girls were surprisingly interested in both, so we got special keyboards and touch screens. They played games and a lot of music. I guess kids will be kids.

We traveled more and more outside the safety of our bay, to find new hunting grounds and different weeds. And yes, we ran into a shark here and there. Most were not interested in us, but the few times we were their hunting grounds, we found we could outsmart them with our moves and jumps out of the water, making the shark look for easier prey. But my proudest moment was when Maya 3-D printed a tool she had invented, and when Ariel blew through one side a seriously unpleasant sound came from the other side, causing a curious shark to do an instant one-eighty, speeding away.

So that's my story, no, our story, so far. Sadie has identified at least four more candidates willing to join our pod. I will write up our stories when I can, and post them here in the future. If you believe you should be part of our group then please send your resume. Femke and I are the mothers of our pod, so you'll have to convince us that you'd be a worthy addition. And then pray that Sadie will write the check for your own transformation.
