Just so you know, I wasn't always a mermaid queen. Only two years ago I wasn't even a mermaid. Or a queen. Heck, I wasn't even a woman!

I was a street hustler, and not even a very good one. Borrowed too much and from the wrong people for a deal that fell through. So I needed a way to make some quick money. And get my face off the street. Disney took care of both.

Their new park was looking for a lot of people. But only the mermaid job was like 24/7. And it paid 50 grand. I could pay off all my debts and no one would ever guess I was hiding in plain sight, just in case one of my old buddies wanted to make an example out of me.

It was pretty slick actually. The guy that transformed me put some goo on me, and in no time I had no hair left on my body. He glued some serious breasts on my chest. Then he oiled me all up and put me in a latex suit. There was no zipper or anything but the neck of the suit was stretched out and elastic enough to let my body in. There were a few weird things going on between my legs but he said it was to make all the plumbing work.

When I was all in, I had webbing between my fingers and a fishtail. Then he pulled the attached hood over my head and I could taste the rubber in my mouth covering my tongue and teeth, and I was looking through contacts that were part of the suit.

He pulled a tall mirror in front of me and I was speechless. My tail was a beautiful blue green scales with black markings. My breasts were covered by a shell like bra and the rest of my body seemed like naked skin, although I knew there was a latex layer. I had long black hair and a name pierced in my brain. Cleopatra.

What was that, he asked, and I realized I must have said the name out loud. Cleopatra, I said again, but it wasn't my voice. The rubber in my mouth must have reached my throat even and changed my voice so it was much higher, like a woman's. He smiled, yes, you're right. You are as beautiful as Cleopatra. That will be your name for the rest of the year. That's one more piece of the contract you'll have to sign. He explained that the only way I could be a convincing woman was being one legally. At the end of the season I could change back to my own name.

I chuckled at that, this was even better than I'd hoped for. Not only was my face off the street, my name was now gone too. And with these looks nobody would ever suspect it to be me.

I've often had to play certain roles, whatever worked to shake money from people. Even a woman once. And I knew, in order to be believable you have to believe yourself. So that day, not only did I become a woman legally, I became Cleopatra, a beautiful mermaid, in mind and body.
