"This isn't fair!" the blonde girl whined, stomping her Velcro-fastened tennis shoes on the nursery floor, watching helplessly as the pink ruffle-seated plastic pants snapped into place over her bulky diapers, so thick she could barely even stand up straight. She felt a surge of energy as they fell into place, knowing that there would be no taking the plastic pants off until she'd thoroughly used the diapers beneath them, and even then, she'd have to find someone else to change her. She'd have to put herself at their mercy, and hope they didn't decide she needed to go right back into diapers once she was out of the old ones.

"Oh, it's perfectly fair," her opponent smirked, giving the seat of the diapers a pat, adjusting the fuzzy thigh high socks that were the piece of clothing closest to hiding the humiliating padding. There was a pink, frilly bib just barely covering her chest, and a matching bonnet on her head, but that was it. There was no way she'd get back to the common room without someone seeing her! "You were going to do this to me if I lost, weren't you?"

"No!" she lied, immediately regretting it as she realized the truth-sensing potion she'd been force-fed was still active. She squeaked, watching her opponent, and the nursery around her, appear to grow another few inches. "Nooo!" she repeated immediately, in a frustrated, and scared, whine this time. "Okay, yes, I was!" she admitted.

"That's what I thought," the other girl said. "So why shouldn't I do it to you?"

"B-But I didn't think you were gonna win!" the girl stomped her foot again. "How did a dumb little shrimp like you who can barely pass her classes get to be so good at dueling?"

"Ouch," her opponent raised a hand to her chest in faux shock. "I might be offended if you weren't shorter than me now."

She wished she could deny that, but she was afraid if she did the gulf would widen even further, and she already had to look up at the other girl. "Y-You are going to reverse it, aren't you? A-After I use my diaper and find someone to change me?" But even she knew better than that, as was clearly demonstrated when she shrank another couple inches. "That's not fair!" she protested. "I must already be shorter than all the first-years!"

"Won't that be embarrassing when we graduate?" the other girl teased, sticking her tongue out. "How are you going to explain that to your parents, when they come to congratulate you for being ready to move on to the real world, and you're smaller than you were when you started school here seven years ago?" The blonde groaned, imagining that scenario playing out, gasping and clamping her hands to the crotch of her diaper as she felt a dribble of wetness there, fueled by her humiliation, and that truth potion, which doubled as a diuretic. "Guess you should have listened to everyone else, and thought twice before you tried to beat me."

With that, the girl turned around with a dramatic hair flip, flicking her wand to change the Room of Requirement back into a dusty, old storage room, the murmur of the students milling around outside suddenly audible, making the smaller girl's diaper grow even soggier. "Come on!" she sniffled, toddling after the victor. "Y-You're not really going to do this to me, are you? Sierra, please, don't!"

"Oh, I don't know," Sierra shrugged coyly. "I guess you'll find out."

The girl whined, stomped her foot, but there was no more of an answer forthcoming as Sierra strutted towards the exit, leaving her opponent squirming in her diapers. As Sierra reached for the door, however, it burst open on its own, nearly bowling the petite witch over as another, much taller girl with black hair stepped in.

"Morgana!" the shrunken blonde squealed, starting to rush towards her friend, only to stop, cheeks red, remembering what had happened to her.

"I had a feeling I'd find you here," Morgana grinned down at Sierra, who looked suddenly uncomfortable, staring up at her. "I thought we agreed we were going to do some more research first, Brooke."

Brooke stared down at her feet. "I-It just kind of happened," she shrugged bashfully.

"I'm glad you're here," Sierra finally regained her composure. "You can look after your little friend here. I have things to do." She tried to brush past Morgana, but the larger girl grabbed her by the back of her cloak, lifting her up like a mama cat carrying a baby kitten, and setting her down further into the room.

"I don't think so," Morgana shook her head. "I know you're up to something, Sierra, and I'm going to find out what. I challenge you to a duel."

Sierra rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on! This isn't fair! I was just in one, so now I'm all tired out, and..."

Before she could finish, Morgana brandished her wand, the room springing to life again, this time as what was clearly a daycare, a whole row of cribs appearing, alongside another of changing tables, and magically-created caretakers pacing back and forth, one almost instantly sweeping up Brooke, checking her diaper, and depositing her into one of the cribs, which she was too small to escape as she watched the fight unfold.

"A fitting choice," Sierra pointed out, nodding towards the spectacle. "Your little friend obviously belongs here. And by the time I'm done with you, so will you. If you want me to kick your ass before I have a chance to catch my breath, then so be it. I... Hey!"

Sierra's eyes widened as one of the caretaker's hands closed around her wrist. "That's a naughty word, young lady!" it told her, dragging her across the room. It was in the shape of a woman, but made of pink smoke, so it should have been simple enough to escape from. Its grip was strong, however, and, try as she might, she couldn't break free.

"This isn't fair!" Sierra complained. "This doesn't coun... Mmph!"

Her protest was interrupted with a bar of soap, the ethereal woman vigorously scrubbing her mouth out, an act that felt especially embarrassing coming minutes after her last victory. She glared at Morgana, who was watching, bemused, and then over at Brooke.

As soon as the soap was out of her mouth, Sierra tried to sputter, "You're going to regret this! I wasn't really going to leave the spell on your friend, but now you're both going to be stuck with it!" All that came out, however, other than suds, was baby babble.

"That's better," the caretaker said, taking Sierra's hand again. "Now, come along, I think you need some corner time."

Sierra was led to the corner, her nose pushed against it, and, to her horror, she was frozen in place, unable to move, or even turn her head to see what was happening behind herself. She could hear movement there, and crinkling.

"I didn't plan on this," Morgana told her, "but I'm not going to feel bad about taking advantage of it, either. You earn it, after all, with that nasty mouth of yours. It'll do you some good to be the one who ends up in diapers for once."

Brooke giggled, relishing the chance to watch Sierra groaning, standing perfectly motionless, although she had a feeling that wasn't by choice, while Morgana spread out diaper changing supplies behind her. Finally, satisfied, Morgana marched up to the girl, reaching out for her.

"I'm sorry, dear," one of the caretakers poofed into existence beside her, pulling her away. "She's on time-out, so she can't play with you, and you can't play with her. Unless you'd like to join her?"

"No, thanks," Morgana shook her head. "I can wait!"

"That's a good girl," the smoke woman patted her on the head.

"Don't worry, Sierra," Morgana grinned. "I'm not going anywhere."

"Come on, Sierra," Brooke teased. "Tell me the truth. You must have ended up in diapers at least, like, a hundred times by now, right?"

"No!" Sierra blushed, shaking her head, gasping as the world shuddered and grew around her once more. "That's not fair! I-I don't know!"

"Why not?" Brooke smirked. "Have you lost count?"

Sierra would have liked to say no to that, but she didn't dare risk it when she'd already shrunken so far. "Y-Yeah," she admitted.

"And yet you keep trying," Brooke shook her head. "Honestly, I'd almost admire it if it wasn't so sad. Do you seriously think you have any chance of winning?"

"Y-Yes!" Sierra told her.

"Wow," the girl nodded. "You're telling the truth. So I guess you're delusional, too. You know what I think might do you some good? If I leave you like this for the rest of the school year. I know you already get mistaken for first-years, but now I bet people will think you must have escaped from some Ilvermorny nursery they didn't know existed."

"N-No!" Sierra gasped. "Please, don't! I-I wanna be big again!"

Brooke scoffed. "You were never big, Sierra. You were never anything more than a silly, slightly-overgrown baby, with delusions of grandeur. I think I'm going to alter my spell, and make it so that you have to go to the Wampus common room before you can get a change. Won't that be fun?"

Sierra sniffed, stomped her foot. Why did she keep doing this to herself?! Brooke was right, she never won. She'd gotten close several times, and maybe that was what fueled her, but at this rate, it was really starting to feel pointless. And yet, there was always something pushing her forward, making her keep going, accepting more fights, sometimes seeking them out herself.

"Well," Brooke waved her wand, changing the Room of Requirement back to normal, "you can think about that for as long as you like. Once you need a change, I guess you'll find out what I decided. If the first person you ask can't help you, then you'll know what to do."

"Brooooke!" Sierra whined, watching the girl walk away. "This isn't fair!"

But that didn't stop Brooke, who sauntered to the door, and reached to open it, only for it to open on its own. "I had a feeling I'd find you here," the girl on the other side raised an eyebrow. "I thought we agreed we were going to do this together."

Brooke blushed, staring up at her much taller friend. "I couldn't help myself! I'm sorry. But, look, she's here now! You can have your fun with her!"

"It would have been more fun to do it together," Morgana complained, "but if you insist."

Sierra's eyes widened as Morgana flicked her wand, and she found herself in the middle of a daycare. "W-Wait!" she gasped. "Th-This isn't fair! I'm already in a diaper!"

"And you already need a change, don't you?" Morgana smirked.

"N-No," Sierra lied, and immediately regretted it.

"You'd better watch it," Brooke warned. "If you aren't careful, you're going to end up no bigger than a toddler, little Sierra."

"We'll play until I get you changed, or, somehow, you diaper me," Morgana said. "And then maybe I'll leave you in here for the rest of the semester. It looks like the perfect place for you."

"You can't do this!" Sierra insisted. "This is so unfair!"

"If you say so," Morgana shrugged, pointing her wand. "Now, you'd better run."

"This is seriously messed up!" Sierra said. "I don't care if I get in trouble or not, I'm gonna tell the Headmistress, and she's gonna put your ass in detention until... Hey!"

She should have known better, really. She was in a daycare, so she should have known to watch her mouth, even if she hadn't known for sure that the smoky caretakers were sentient enough to mind. And yet, she still found herself here, getting her mouth washed out with soap, then put into a corner, while she heard Brooke and Morgana gleefully preparing a changing station behind her, ready to instantly make her lose yet again.

Sierra had plenty of experience with time-outs, unfortunately, so, while she didn't like them, she knew better than to try to escape from them early. Fortunately, the caretaker didn't let the other girls mess with her, either, which gave her some time. She wasn't sure how long the soap was affect her speech, but she had the length of her corner time to wait, to formulate the perfect plan, and give herself as much time to recover as possible.

If she concentrated on the right spell hard enough, she might be able to pull off a wordless spell, even though she had a lot of trouble with them. If she was able to wait long enough, then perhaps she could hold out until the soap had worn off, even if that happened after the time-out ended. All she had to do was stand still, and, unless they wanted to risk getting punished themselves, the girls would never know. Patience was the name of the game, and if her losing record had taught her anything, it was that.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

This was a sticky situation, Sierra thought to herself. She wasn't sure she'd ever been in one quite this bad before. If she couldn't talk, or move, there was no way she could do her signature move, and, without that, she might actually lose.

It was bound to happen eventually, and maybe it was a good thing. She'd always heard that you learned as much, if not more, from your failures than from your successes, so perhaps this would be good for her. But, after all this time, she didn't really want to find out now.

She'd found the spell on a late-night trip to the library, in a very dusty old tome that she suspected was meant to be in the forbidden section. Over the years, she'd perfected it, finding ways to condense the incantation, or simplify the wand movements, so that she could do it very quickly. Right now, however, she couldn't do even the tiniest amount of either one of those things.

The caretaker had scared Morgana away, however, so, as long as she was careful, she might have a shot. If she was able to fake the time-out, she might be able to wait out the effects of soap as well, then turn around, take Morgana by surprise, and win. Maybe she wouldn't need the spell after all, this time!

Except, she wasn't used to this. As soon as she felt the magic of the corner evaporate, her body couldn't help squirming, and, almost instantly, Morgana was behind her, grabbing her by the wrist, yanking her backwards, towards the changing pad she'd laid out. Frantically, Sierra tried to spit out the magic word, getting closer and closer, but still tripping up on it every time.

"That was almost too easy," Morgana smirked. "Just wait until everyone sees the champion all padded up."

Sierra kicked uselessly as the girl pushed her down onto the pad, stripping her out of her skirt and panties, sliding a diaper underneath her bottom. "What's wrong?" she mocked. "Can't use big girl words? You're nothing but a tiny little baby, and I'm going to make sure the entire school knows that."

Physically, Sierra was no match for her. She kept trying, repeating the spell over and over, the only thing she could do, as she watched herself getting powdered, the diapered pulled up between her legs, one side taped up. "This is it, Sierra," Morgana teased. "Any last words?"

And, thankfully, at last, Sierra was able to produce one.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Uh-oh!" Brooke exclaimed. "I think somebody's faking." Sierra's eyes widened. "I'd say that counts as lying."

Sierra's mind raced. Had she really messed up?! She'd thought she was doing so well at keeping up the act! Frantically, she tried to make a run for it, as a spell hit her, making her shrink even more, her legs shortening and making it all but impossible to escape from the now nearly giant Morgana. "Naughty girl," she shook her head. "And soggy, too. Let's get you cleaned up."

This was so unfair! This always happened! She really thought she'd be able to pull it off, despite everything, but, somehow, she'd managed to screw it up. Maybe that was why she kept going, she mused, squirming futilely as her diaper was removed, and she was wiped clean, plopped down onto a fresh diaper. Sometimes, it felt like there was some other force, something interfering with her, making her lose.

It was a silly thought, and really just there to make her feel better about her losses, she knew, but, in times like these, she couldn't help feeling like there might be some truth to it.

She hadn't stayed still long enough to outlast the soap, so when Morgana offered her the chance at a last word, all she could manage was another bit of babbling, which made the girls giggle as she was taped into her new diaper and put into one of the cribs. "I bet somebody needs a nap after all that," Brooke said, patting her on the head.

"I bet so," Morgana agreed. "Silly thing barely put up a fight. You rest here, Sierra, and we'll be back to let you out before curfew, probably. Or maybe tomorrow morning. Or maybe at the end of the semester. Who knows?"

Sierra groaned behind the pacifier that had been shoved into her mouth, watching the girls leave, taking her wand with them, leaving her all alone in the magical nursery, hoping they were joking about at least that last part.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sierra didn't really know how it worked, exactly. It involved other dimensions, in some way or another. She wasn't sure if maybe it created a new dimension, where things went differently, or just found another one where they already had, and shifted her to that one. There had been a lot of talk about parallel dimensions in the book, but, honestly, thinking about how many of them there were, to cover every possibility, had made Sierra's head hurt.

She did feel a little bad about it. Somewhere, in some dimension, another version of her had done everything right, and earned a victory, and she was snatching it away from them. Maybe it was greedy of her to keep using it, to ensure she always won.

That was where the idea of that many different dimensions was comforting. There were so many that, most likely, each time she used the spell, it was accessing a different one. Sometimes, she had to use it multiple times each fight, if it went on for long enough, so maybe some of those other versions got to win, too. After all, there was no way she could always be leeching off of the same dimension. That seemed impossible!

Of course, she didn't really know how it worked, but that much seemed certain, and helped her feel better about using it. It was always a little disorienting, but this time especially, since she'd had to wait so long before she could cast the spell. Her head spun as she was suddenly back in the corner.

She didn't have time to worry about her churning stomach, however. Quickly, before she could betray herself, she spun around, shooting a spell at Morgana, waiting beside the changing pad, pulling her forward, onto the waiting diaper.

"Hey!" the girl gasped, struggling as the floorboards shifted, curling around her wrists and ankles, pinning her to the floor. "Let me go!"

"I will," Sierra promised. "Just as soon as I get you diapered up, where you belong. I sure hope the two of you are able to find someone willing to change both of you, because I'm definitely not going to let you change each other. Since you two are such close friends, I think I'll make it so that you can't leave each others' side until you've both used your diapers, and gotten changed."

She left them behind once her work was done, feeling very proud of herself as she listened to them bickering about whose fault this was, now that Morgana was dressed the same as Brooke, and shrunken to the same size. They'd both go back to their normal size once they'd gotten changed, but, of course, she hadn't told them that. It was more fun that way.

One day, Sierra thought to herself, she really should try a duel without letting herself use the spell. She'd heard rumors that Olivia was looking for a rematch, so perhaps that would be a good one to give it a shot on. Knowing she could win without it would be a nice boost to her ego, although, even if she couldn't, she'd be all right. She just wanted to know.

It wasn't really cheating, she told herself, as always. She was just using every tool she had at her disposal. It wasn't her fault one of them was so much more powerful than any of the others. It was going to be so much more useful once she was out of school, too. It was great for duels, but she didn't dare try it in classes when she scored badly on a test, or answered a question wrong, for fear that one of her teachers might realize what was happening, and make her stop using it altogether. Once she was back in the Muggle world, however, and away from their prying eyes, there were plenty of situations where it would be nice to know that, even if there was a Sierra who had to lose, it wouldn't have to be her.
