"Aww, that's cute," Sierra giggled, spying the sign at the entrance to the play area. She'd never seen any like that before, at least, not at a daycare, and not quite like this.

The signs, of course, normally sat in front of a ride at a theme park, and were meant to keep out riders who weren't tall enough to safely get on. This one, however, was the opposite, a tall, cartoon frog holding its webbed hand out with a speech bubble over its head declaring, "You must be this small to play!"

Looking around a little more, Sierra saw there were a few more spread around, each in front of a new section of playground equipment. "Clever!" Sierra said to herself, seeing that they'd separated it by age. There was a duck in front of things for slightly smaller kids, and, in front of the section that looked to be meant for toddlers, with a lot of sandboxes, slides, and high backed, plastic infant swings, as opposed to the rubber bucket seats in the duck section, or regular wooden planks by the frog, a bunny.

This place really knew what it was doing, Sierra thought to herself. It was comforting, making her feel like they probably had a bit of money, and really could pay her as much as they were advertising, as unlikely as it had seemed, looking at the ad. At the same time, it worried her. If they were this fancy, was she really going to fit in?

She looked down at herself, blushing slightly. She'd done her best to dress up, but she didn't have anything too fancy. She was wearing heels, which rarely happened, because she wasn't very good at walking in them, and a skirt suit she'd found at a thrift store. It was a little too big for her, but it did make her feel a bit more grown-up. As silly as she'd felt leaving the house in it, she was grateful to have it now, even if there was no way she was going to wear something like this to work every day.

Of course, she didn't think they'd be likely to expect her to, either. This wasn't what anyone would wear to look after a bunch of kids, but it seemed right for a job interview. Hopefully it would make up for a resume with no real experience, other than some babysitting jobs. That was important experience for something like this, after all, and she had been away at school. She'd be going back in a few months, but if everything went well here, maybe she'd be have it to come back to when she'd graduated. Obviously, she would have liked something that made use of the magic she was learning at school, but something like that might take a little while to show up, and this would be fun until then.

The woman she'd spoken to sounded nice, and it sounded like she had a decent shot, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. It probably didn't help that she was just wandering around the property like a weirdo, but she'd gotten there early, and was full of nervous energy. She didn't want to impose on any morning routines, so she'd taken a little stroll around the area. The kids weren't out playing yet anyway, so she hopefully wouldn't seem like as much of a creeper.

She should have stayed on the sidewalk, and just turned around there, after getting her look at what the place was like, but she couldn't help herself. She carefully stepped off, wobbling slightly as her heels moved off their solid support, walking along, giving a merry-go-round a push, watching it start to spin, then tapping on the back of a brightly color horse on a spring to set it bouncing.

She wasn't sure why the bunny was what she gravitated towards, other than the fact that her favorite stuffed animal as a child had been a rabbit, a Miss Hoppikins. Sierra still had her, of course, but she was far too old for it now, just like she was much too old for any of the things here, especially in this section. Dressed in her suit and heels, she hoped she didn't look like she belonged here, either, although, to be fair, she could probably have gotten under the frog's hand without too much trouble. She tried not to think about whether or not she'd have to duck at all if she didn't have those heels, definitely glad she had them on. She could worry about that if she got the job.

She was definitely too tall for this section of the playground according to the signs, which was fine with her. It was nice to feel tall for once, looking out over the kiddy toys, and down at the bunny sign, imagining the little kids measuring themselves against it, making sure they were in the right section. It was so cute, even in her mind, and, for some reason, she just couldn't help reaching down, her fingers brushing against the sign...

She assumed, at first, that she'd finally lost her balance and fallen off her heels, although, as she waved her arms, trying to get them under her and haul herself back to her feet before anyone inside the building saw her, she realized she was wrong. She must have been, after all, because that was when she actually did fall, tumbling down, landing on her backside on the soft grass with an, "Oof!"

"Great," she mumbled to herself, blushing. It was really a good thing nobody else was outside now! If this was an omen of how the rest of the day was going to go, maybe she should head home now.

She tried again to get to her feet, frowning as her feet lifted right out of her heels. She looked down to see what was going on, wondering if she'd destroyed her shoes somehow in the fall, blushing again when she saw herself. A lot more of herself than she'd expected.

"What the hell?!" she squeaked, grabbing at her shirt, and the bra bunched up inside, which had slid down her torso, pulling it upwards. The fall had hurt, sure, but there was no way the impact had been hard enough to make her clothes fall off like that!

She frowned, looking at the clothes in her arms, quietly and slowly realizing they seemed a lot bigger than they ought to be. She raised them up, trying to get back into them, but they draped over her, sliding back off, almost like she was a kid playing dress-up.

She wasn't, of course, and she could tell right away, seeing her bare chest, that she hadn't become one. Her breasts might not be anything impressive, by any means, but they were bigger than they had been when she was a little kid, at least, and that hadn't changed.

As she finally managed to stand up, however, her skirt and panties tumbling to the ground in a pile around her ankles, she realized something else definitely had. She saw her feet first, standing next to the discarded heels, dwarfed by them, then slowly looked up, and up, over at the sign, following the bunny's body upwards to see its hand above her head.

"No!" she gasped, dropping her armload of clothes, reaching up, just barely managing to reach the hand. She was well under the limit of the smallest sign now. "No!" She shook her head, tears stinging her eyes. "What the hell is going on?!"

She really wished she'd brought her wand now, but the suit didn't have a lot of good places to hide it. It would have been a hard thing to explain, if the interviewer spotted her, and there were too many small, grabby hands here that might see it and think it was a fun toy. Besides, she hadn't expected to need it on a simple job interview, and, really, she wasn't used to the idea that she was allowed to use it outside of school. It had been a year now, but she was so used to hearing lectures about how much trouble she could get into, it was very rare for her to do it. She still remembered one particularly scary teacher telling the students that no matter how careful they thought they were being, their magic use would be detected, and punished. Now, she wished she'd taken a few more risks when she was younger, maybe, so having her wand by her side constantly was more of a second nature, and she'd have it here to help her out of this mess.

She grabbed her shirt, which fit more like a dress now, trying to put it on, buttoning it up all the way in an attempt to keep it on so she could get out of here and figure this mess out. It was no good, too big even then for her tiny shoulders to support. "Come on!" she fumed, stomping her foot. "I can't stay out here all day!" Any minute now, there could be an avalanche of children all around her!

"There you are!" Sierra's heart began to thump loudly as she heard a voice behind her. "We've been looking all over for you! Why did your Mommy drop you off here instead of checking you in inside?"

"W-Wait, no," Sierra shook her head, blushing, then gasping as she was picked up. "I-I can explain..."

"I'm not mad at you, sweetie," Sierra was turned around, gulping as she saw the seemingly huge woman who had plucked her off the ground, easily handling her as if she were a real child. "We're just going to have to have a talk with your Mommy about our procedures when she gets here this afternoon."

"No, that's not what I mean!" Sierra insisted, kicking her feet futilely. How was she going to explain this?!

"No, I'm not mad at you for taking off your clothes, either," the woman chuckled. "Plenty of kids your age are little nudists. I do wish you hadn't dropped them in the mud, but that's all right, we can get them all cleaned up for you, and get you into something you can't get off so easily."

Sierra gasped, squirming frantically, trying to break free of the woman's grip as she knelt down, picking up the clothes. "No! You don't understand!" she exclaimed. "I'm not a kid! Just look at my clothes!"

"They don't look like very comfortable play clothes," the woman nodded, as if that was what Sierra was talking about. "Don't worry, I'll find you something better."

"No!" Sierra swung her legs futilely.

"Yes," the woman smiled down at her, amused. "I'm sorry, but you have to wear something."

"Listen to me!" Sierra fumed as she was carted inside, cheeks burning at the sight of the other workers bustling around, and the children below them, thankfully unaware as they played on the floor.

"Found her!" the woman declared, handing Sierra's clothes, along with the keys to her apartment, and her ID, and resume, and everything that proved she was an adult, off. "Get those washed up, okay?"

"I need those!" Sierra grabbed for them, her arms far too short to actually reach them.

"No grabby hands," the woman gave them a light smack. "If you want something here, you ask like a polite little girl."

Sierra groaned, watching helplessly as her things were taken away, her view bouncing as the woman began walking again, carrying her elsewhere. "Look, I know this sounds crazy, but you hafta believe me. I am not a kid!"

"Your vocabulary is very good for your age," the woman smiled. It was meant to be praise, although it was hard to take it as such when the age she considered Sierra to be was definitely far less than her real one. "But that doesn't mean you aren't a kid."

"That's not what I mean!" Sierra's feet kicked again, all she could really go from her position. "Just look at me! I'm an adult! I'm here for the interview!"

"Wow, where did you hear all those words?" the woman jiggled her in her arms, chuckling. "It must be Youtube, huh? You just pick up so much at your age!"

"My age is..." Sierra growled in frustration, only to be cut off as she was laid down on a soft, plasticky surface. She sat up, cheeks lighting up at the sound of crinkling beneath her, swallowing nervously as she watched the woman pull on a pair of gloves, then reach down beneath Sierra and pull out...

"No way!" Sierra squealed. "I don't need a diaper!"

"I'm sorry, sweetie," the woman told her, gently pushing on her chest, making her lie back down on what Sierra realized now, and probably should have recognized before as, a changing table. "Your Mommy dropped off your potty training chart from your old daycare already. I know you're trying, but you definitely aren't ready for anything else yet."

Sierra gulped, mouth going dry as the woman began to unfold the diaper over her. It rustled loudly, much more than the surface of the table, which had been embarrassing enough. And it was so big! Perhaps it was from her new, much smaller, perspective, but the diaper looked much thicker than the ones she used on kids, so bulky and big. She couldn't let herself be put into it, especially not because of some other random little girl who wasn't ready for big girl panties yet! Sierra definitely was, and had been for years!

And yet, even as she thought that, her ankles were already being lifted up, the woman easily grabbing them both in one hand, using the other to slide the diaper under her bottom. Sierra let out a tiny squeak as her backside sank into the soft poofiness of the garment, wiggling in place, hearing the crinkle again, this time cause by her. Just like the one she'd be followed by constantly if she didn't put a stop to this!

"Y-You can't do this," she sniffled, fighting to control her emotions, to prove she was a mature adult, no matter how overwhelming all of this was. "Pl-Please! Just look at me!"

It really was too bad that her crotch was already bare and hairless, left that way thanks to a curse that still hadn't worn off. It didn't do much to help prove her point while the woman began covering it with baby lotion and powder, filling Sierra's nose with the all-too familiar scent she'd encountered so many times while babysitting, that was now becoming her new perfume. "Stop!" she kicking her feet again, glad to have the changing table beneath her so they made a little sound, although still no enough to be effective.

"Calm down," the woman cooed at her. "It's going to be all right. We're almost done."

That wasn't all right! That was what she was afraid of! Sierra shook her head, stomach churning as she watched the woman reaching down, getting ahold of the front of the diaper. "No, no, no!" she whimpered. "Please, don't!"

The woman didn't stop, the diaper gliding up between the girl's squirming legs, forcing her thighs apart. Sierra felt the tears starting to flow again, felt the soft embrace of the diaper around her. She tried her hardest to wiggle free, but a single hand was all it took to keep her in place, pinning the diaper to the bottom of her belly, while the other hand tugged the first tape open, sticking it in place.

"Stop it, stop it, stop it!" Sierra thrashed, banging her hands against the changing table, too, not caring, or thinking about, how much she must look like she was throwing a tantrum. It was almost done! One more tape, and she'd be in diapers, like a little baby!

"So fussy!" the woman shook her head. "Did you not have breakfast, sweetie? Don't worry, I'll get you all fixed up once we're done here!"

"No, I don't want breakfast, I want you to.. No, no!" Any defiance she'd built up instantly faded at the sound of the second tape being ripped open, dissolving into the teary, frantic pleas of a helpless little girl.

"There!" the woman declared, pushing the tape down, giving it a rub to ensure it was nice and snug. "That wasn't so bad, was it?"

But it most definitely was. This was it. Sierra had been diapered, like a baby. Exactly like one, in fact, since this was definitely a diaper for a baby. She squirmed, feeling the bulky padding, and the loud rustling sound it produced, following her every move, pushing in on her gently from all directions, inescapable. There was no way she was going to be able to walk normally like this! She was definitely going to have that waddle she'd seen the little kids she looked after have, and thought was so cute. Now that the shoe was on the other foot, she definitely didn't find it quite as adorable.

"And now, to make sure you don't pull this off, too, and make a mess," the woman said, sliding a pair of plastic pants up Sierra's legs as she laid there, stunned. She sat Sierra up, tugging them up over the huge diaper, then reached behind the girl.

Sierra's heart thumped at the sound of a click. Frantically, she reached back, feeling first the ruffles stretched across the seat, then sliding over the smooth plastic, pulled taut by the bulky diaper, finally settling on exactly what she'd feared.

A lock. It didn't feel particularly large, or complicated. She didn't know anything about picking locks, but with a little magic, and some luck, she could probably get it open even without her wand. If she could see it. Now, with it behind her, and her barely able to get a good grip on it, much less see what she was doing, it might as well be sealed with an unbreakable charm.

Now she truly was trapped in this diaper. Her head spun as she stared down at it, trying to push her legs together, wrinkling her nose at how little give there was. Were the diapers really this thick, or was it because the smaller size had made her weaker, too? Or was it both?

The woman pulled a pair of frilly ankle socks onto her feet, following them up with a pair of gray and pink velcro sneakers. "Aren't these cute?" she cooed. "Look, they match your bow!"

She pointed the little pink bows at the end of each of the velcro straps. Sierra reached up, blushing, realizing the bow she'd put into her hair, to try to make it look like she wasn't trying too hard with the suit, had, indeed, stuck around, the only piece of her old clothing to survive. Of course, it was the most useless one, too, the one that fit in the most with her new outfit, such as it was.

"Arms up!" the woman commanded, and, by this point, Sierra was happy to comply, if only to cover herself up. She was expecting a dress, but, to her surprise, the thing that was tugged over her head stopped at her belly button, leaving the entirety of her diaper exposed.

"Wait!" Sierra pouted, legs kicking as she was picked up off the table, as if they were done. "Pants!"

The fact she was already in her shoes should have tipped her off as to the woman's answer. "Oh, sweetie," she smiled, "you don't need to worry about those. I'm sure you'd have them off in a few minutes anyway. If you prove you can keep your shirt on, then we'll see, okay?"

"No, I can!" Sierra promised. "I can keep some pants on, too! Or a skirt, or... or anything!"

It was bad enough she had to wear this diaper at all, she really didn't want to toddle around with it completely exposed! But the woman ignored her, resting her on her hip, carrying her to another room, where she slid her into a waiting high chair.

"I'm not hungry!" Sierra shook her head, wrinkling her nose, imagining the sorts of things they might have here.

"Here, you can start with this," the woman told her, setting a sippy cup of apple juice on the high chair's tray, which she pushed in with a click. "I'll be done in no time!"

Frantically, Sierra tried to escape while the woman's back was turned, but the tray was shut too tightly around her, preventing her from pulling herself up, the bar between her legs keeping her from sliding down and out. She'd fed plenty of toddlers in high chairs like this, so she knew there was a latch she could use to release the tray, but from this side, she had no idea where it was, and, by the time the woman returned with the bowl, she still hadn't found it.

"Here you are!" the woman smiled, setting down a bowl of mushy baby rice cereal. "Maybe this will help get rid of some of that crankiness!"

"No way!" Sierra wrinkled her nose, pushing the bowl away.

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," the woman chanted in a sing-songy voice, picking up the plastic spoon she'd set beside the bowl. "Don't you want to grow up to be big and strong?"

"I already did!" Sierra sulked, squeaking in surprise as the woman took advantage, sliding in a spoonful. It was every bit as bland and unappetizing as it looked, Sierra nearly gagging at the taste.

It wasn't even just the taste, which was bad enough. She'd had a big breakfast that morning, to prepare herself, so she was already full. She didn't think she could have eaten another bite, even if the food was wonderful!

The woman chuckled to herself, shaking her head. "I thought you might be big enough not to need this, but it looks like I was wrong." She stepped away, returning with a bib, which she tied around Sierra's neck before returning to the bowl, getting another spoonful ready.

Sierra clamped her mouth shut, refusing to swallow another bite of the mush. "Choo-choo!" the woman lifted the spoon up, lurching it forward like a train coming to a stop right in front of the pouty girl's mouth. "Delivery!"

Sierra shook her head. She knew all the tricks, had done them all herself. She wasn't falling for anything! "We don't have all day," the woman told her, reaching forward, gently grabbing the girl's cheeks, pushing them towards one another. Sierra might have been able to resist her normally, but in her smaller state, she was no match, her mouth getting forced open for another spoonful of cereal.

She did her best to stop it, but, in no time, the bowl was cleaned, most of it having wound up in her tummy, along with the apple juice from her sippy cup, which the woman had held, and made her nurse from. "If you're not going to feed yourself, you can drink like a little baby, too," the woman had told her.

Finally, it was over, Sierra's tummy feeling stuffed and bloated as the tray was loosened, the woman doing it easily, as if she was mocking how much trouble Sierra had had with it. She picked the girl up, and, to add insult to injury, slid a finger into the tight legband of the plastic pants, giving the diaper beneath a poke.

"You don't have to check me!" Sierra blushed. "I don't need these diapers!"

"Oh, you don't, do you?" the woman raised an eyebrow. She rested Sierra on her hip again, carrying her back to the room where she'd been diapered, over to a wall with a whole row of potty charts taped to it, down low so the kids whose names were printed across the top could put the stickers on themselves, no doubt. She set Sierra down in front of the last one. "Then what's with all these frowny faces, sweetie?"

"No!" Sierra stomped her foot again, finally a sound something closer to what she'd been trying for all along, although the lights that flashed at the bottom of the soles did dull the impact a bit. "You don't understand! I'm here for the interview!"

"There's that word again," the woman smiled. "Once you hear something, you don't let it go, do you? I bet you're going to be a clever one!"

"No!" Sierra grumbled, shaking her head, putting her hands on her hips. "Be quiet and listen to me!"

"Watch your tone, little lady," the woman said, her tone changing slightly. "I don't want to have to put you in time out already. That's not how you speak to a grown-up, is it?"

"I am a grown-up!" Sierra insisted, even though, considering her size, and what she was wearing, she couldn't blame anyone for thinking otherwise.

"Pretend is fun, but we aren't playing right now, sweetie," the woman replied gently.

"Stop it!" Sierra gritted her teeth. "Just listen to me!"

"I'm doing my best to be patient with you, but you seem just as fussy as before breakfast. Do you need a nap already?"

"No!" Sierra stomped her foot once more, jabbing her finger at the potty chart, feeling incredibly annoyed with the little girl it did belong to for putting her in this situation. It wasn't her fault Sierra had shrunk, of course, but if she could have just kept her pants clean and dry a few more times, then she wouldn't have to be diapered, at least! "That's not me!" she tapped the chart, frustrated. "I'm the new worker, not the new baby!"

"We don't have any new workers, sweetie," the woman chuckled. "It is funny that you know we had someone interviewing, though. Isn't it funny when things come together like that? You learned that word, and it's actually useful today!"

"That's because it's me!" Sierra whined. "You're going to look really dumb when this girl actually shows up."

"I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it," the woman told her. "For now, I want you to calm down, Sierra, or you're going to have to go somewhere quiet before you can play with the other kids."

Sierra's eyes widened. "Wh-What did you call me?"

"Your name, silly," the woman smiled.

"Y-Yeah, but..." Sierra frowned, turning to look at the chart, gasping as she saw the name written across the top. She hadn't noticed it before, since it was, relative to her small stature, relatively high up, but, sure enough, the name of the little girl who was supposed to start that day was the same as hers. "I-It is my name," she admitted, head spinning. "Th-That doesn't mean... It's a coincidence!"

"Another big word!" the woman clapped her hands. "Such a smart girl!"

Sierra wasn't that uncommon a name, she told herself. It was surreal, seeing her name there, but she'd met other people who had the same name as her. She just hated that it was happening now, like this. It made it feel more and more like she really did belong here, somehow, and, indeed, as the baby, and not a new worker.

"Here," the woman smiled, kneeling down, slipping something into Sierra's mouth, the confused girl starting to suck without thinking, feeling slightly soothed by the motion. "There we are. You're feeling better, aren't you? Why don't you go make some new friends, Sierra?"

She turned the tiny girl away from the chart, sending her towards the toddlers spread throughout the room, playing, with a pat to her diaper. Sierra took a few waddling steps away by instinct, then turned back, ready to start her argument again, only to find the woman gone, off to take care of other children. Sierra was left behind, blending in with the other children far better than she liked to admit.

Except, as she looked around, she didn't. Her cheeks darkened as she got a look at the outfits the kids were wearing, making her feel all the more self-conscious about her own. She really hated that the woman had put the shoes on her, making it look like this was a complete outfit, and she was ready to go out, and not that she'd, perhaps, run off before her Mommy had finished getting her dressed.

It wasn't fair! she sulked, crossing her arms. Nobody else her age was running around like this, in just a shirt and diaper! There were plenty of shorts that didn't quite contain the bulge, and dresses that weren't quite long enough, but she was the only one wearing this.

Wait, what was she talking about?! Had she really thought of these babies as 'her age'?! It had come naturally, since they were, in fact, her size, but they definitely weren't the same age as her! She was an adult, not some baby!

She absolutely felt like one, however, standing there, squirming in her diaper. It felt so warm, the layers of padding and plastic trapping the heat around her, adding another way, along with the new stance she had to take, and the crinkling sound that followed even her slightest movement, she couldn't ignore what she was wearing, no matter what she did.

"They're so big!" she whined, tugging uselessly at the plastic pants, wanting to get them off. It didn't look like anyone else was wearing any this bulky, although she couldn't quite tell, since nobody else was running around with them showing this much! How in the world, in a room full of actual toddlers, did she look the most immature?!

She had to get out of here. She couldn't stand the idea of blending in with these children, being looked at as one of them. If she waited long enough, surely the other Sierra would show up, and that worker would realize her mistake, but this Sierra didn't think she could wait that long. Maybe if she went back out to the playground and touched the sign again, it would reverse this. If not, it would be a long walk back to the bus stop, and an awkward conversation getting the driver to take her home when she had no money, and no way to prove she wasn't the baby she looked like, but if she could manage it, maybe finding something to cover herself with to at least hide the diaper, then she could use her wand and change herself back.

To do that, however, she had to get out of this room. She didn't think it would be too hard. After all, the people that were supposed to stay here were all infants, and nowhere near as smart as her. She started off with a little walk, made much more difficult by her tiny legs and giant diaper, and was unhappy to see that there were only a few exits. Two of them led further into the building, which was a big gamble, since she didn't know the layout, or where the hallways beyond led. Those were blocked off by baby gates, which, even from a distance, she could tell she wasn't going to be big enough to climb over.

The other possibility was a large, sliding glass door, which overlooked the playground area. Sierra could see bigger kids out there, playing in the frog's section. That might be her best bet, but it also appeared to be where the most workers were. The handle was pretty high up, too.

Still, if she got it open, there would probably be plenty of other kids who took the opportunity to run outside. It would be a distraction, and, hopefully, she could use that to make her escape. If she was going to do it, she needed to do it quick, too. After her big breakfast, and the cereal, her tummy was feeling extra full, and she was going to need the help of either her wand or something sharp, two things she wasn't going to get here, to get out of these plastic pants before disaster struck.

At last, she swallowed her pride and stepped away from the outer edges of the room, where she'd stayed on her scouting mission, right into the mass of children. She wrinkled her nose, smelling evidence that several of them needed fresh diapers as she struggled to move through them, getting bumped into and nearly losing her balance several times, thanks to the massive diaper throwing off her equilibrium, feeling careless, sticky fingers brushing against her bare skin. This was what everyone saw her as, she thought with a blush. She loved looking after kids, but seeing them like this, up close and personal, it was hard not to see how gross they were, how little she wanted to be confused with them. So many of them were bigger than her, too, which made her position all the more humiliating, and, honestly, scary.

She broke through the mob, immediately wanting to take a shower, but much closer to the door. She was going to need a distraction in here, so she could create her bigger distraction outside, so she toddled over to a pair of kids playing with blocks and bumped into it with her diaper. "Oopsie!" she said, hurrying off before the meltdown.

That took a couple workers out of the picture, as they rushed to comfort them. There were still some more gathered by the door, so she went up to a little girl who was kneeling down, playing with a dollhouse, her red hair pulled into a pair of adorable ponytails. Sierra walked up behind her and gave one a tug, then, when the girl spun around, glaring, Sierra pointed at a little boy off minding his own business. "It was him," she mumbled, realizing only then that she'd had the pacifier in the whole time.

She reached up to take it out, only for the girl to stomp over in her Mary Janes and give her a shove. Sierra was taken by surprise at the girl's strength, although, seeing as she was a bit taller than Sierra, she shouldn't have been. She fell back, landing with a crinkle on her diaper, glad for once for the padding. "No!" she exclaimed again, spitting out the paci as the girl advanced, realizing that, even if she wanted to risk hurting this innocent little girl, she might not be able to, and that she might not even be capable of defending herself against her. "I-It wasn't me!" she shook her head frantically, not sure her ego could taken getting beaten up by a two year old. "It was him!"

The girl turned towards the little boy and yelled, "Jimmy!" Sierra saw his look of shock before he took off, the girl giving chase, drawing away more of the workers to avoid an all out brawl.

This was it, Sierra thought. Her best shot! She tried to scramble to her feet, but without anything to hold onto, and with the diaper, it was difficult, so she rocked forward, getting her hands under her, and pushing upwards, round, plastic-covered backside in the air.

That was when the cramps hit. She gasped, quivering, trying in vain to squeeze her legs together, to help her contain it. The position probably wasn't helping, but she had to move, or this all would have been for nothing! She gritted her teeth, sweat beading on her forehead, feeling her tummy fighting to empty itself, a mass inside her starting to inch outwards, towards her diaper. "Stop!" she ordered, face red, hands clamping into tiny fists as she fought with every fiber of her being.

Finally, the discomfort subsided, and she was able to push herself upwards again, this time without inducing another cramp. Frantically, she hurried forwards, right for the door, reaching up for the handle.

She couldn't reach it. It was just out of her grasp, just tall enough that she could almost touch the bottom of it if she got up on her tip-toes. "No way!" she groaned. Her face was still red and sweaty, her belly still rumbling, ready to strike again at any minute. If she didn't do it now, she might not get another chance!

She hopped up, the diaper once more throwing her off, making her miss the handle. "Come on," she told herself. "Concentrate!"

She jumped again, her hand barely reaching its destination. Her fingers closed around the handle, leaving her dangling there, feet not quite able to reach the floor below. She swung them back and forth, trying to make the door start to move, but it refused to budge. "No!" she whimpered. "I'm so close!"

Except, she wasn't. She looked up, trying to figure out what was wrong, why it wasn't working, and spotted the lock, still fastened tight, far above. She'd never had a shot at all, it turned out.

Her fingers' strength finally gave out, and she fell down, landing hard on her bottom again, this time from high enough that it still stung a bit, despite the cushion. That was far from the worst of it, however. The impact was enough to give her a jolt, and, before she could stop herself, she felt something lurch inside her, and, all of the sudden, there was something thick, and warm, and mushy oozing its way into her pants.

"No!" she groaned, pushing uselessly on the back of her diaper with her hands, but the mess just kept coming, spreading outwards, the diaper crackling softly as it began to expand to accommodate it. "Stop it!" she sniffled, pushing down with her bottom against the floor, trying to stop it that way. The mass squished against her, inching further around her backside, but didn't halt its stinky progress.

She blushed, seeing the kids on the other side of the door looking in at her, wondering if they knew what was going on. Probably. They'd likely seen the other babies in this room do it plenty of times by now, after all. She thought back to only a few moments ago, to getting a whiff of another toddler who'd done this at some point, and how badly she didn't want to be associated with them. Now, she was doing it herself, and it was so much ickier than she ever could have imagined, being on the other side of it.

Nothing she was doing on the floor helped, so she reached for the door again, using it to balance herself, to climb to her feet, hoping that might do her some good, somehow. It was the opposite. It turned out the floor had been doing something after all, and, as soon as she was off of it, the gooey mudslide hit with full force. She gasped, frozen now, crouched in front of the door, her diaper straining against the plastic pants as it ballooned outwards, drooping as heavily as it could with the plastic pants still holding it firmly in place, keeping her from being able to escape it. When she was done filling her diaper to the brim, she felt the strength leech out of her legs, and she fell back once more, landing with a messy squish as she started to cry, her reaction the same as any toddler.

"I'd say that serves you right, Sierra," the worker from before said, the tiny girl sniffling and looking up to see the woman staring down at her. "I saw what you did, young lady. Why would you want to make your new friends so upset?"

"I-I'm not a baby!" she wailed. "I'm not s'posed to be here!"

"I'd say anyone who can do that to their diaper definitely belongs here," the woman smirked, picking the girl up. "Now, I think you need a time-out. And, because of your actions, I think you won't be getting a change until it's over."

"Wh-What?!?" Sierra squeaked. "B-But what if I get a rash?!"

"Then I guess it'll remind you to behave yourself," the woman shrugged, carrying Sierra into another room, one full of cribs, one of which Sierra was deposited into unceremoniously.

"I-I'm sorry!" Sierra called, grasping at the bars of the crib, watching the woman leave. "Please, just give me a clean diaper!"

But she didn't listen. Sierra gave the bars a shake, then looked up hopelessly, seeing how tall they were, and how unlikely it was that she was going to be getting out. Not only had she pooped her pants like a baby, she was stuck in them, left completely at the mercy of the grown-ups to change her, which made her feel all the more like a silly little baby, every squish and squelch making it harder to remember she was a grown-up, too! What kind of grown-up would end up in this situation?! And what kind couldn't get herself out of it, or a stinky diaper?! Especially a grown-up that ought to have magic on her side. She was a witch! That made it even more humiliating, knowing she wasn't escaping her mushy, mucky prison until a real adult thought she deserved it.

Pouting, she flopped down on her tummy, wrinkling her nose as she squirmed, trying in vain to find a position to lie down where she wasn't constantly reminded of her shameful accident. She finally gave up, rolling onto her back, which was more comfortable, and how she normally slept, but far squishier. She didn't think she was going to be able to, but, after a few minutes of sniffling and crying, she drifted off to sleep.

"And there she is," the worker said quietly, escorting the couple inside.

"Oh, she's perfect!" the woman gushed, looking up at her husband. "She's exactly what I imagined!"

"Now, she is a bit feisty," the worker warned. "But those can be the most fun. It never lasts long anyway. She's already starting to fit in, as you can smell. Once they mess themselves, it's all over. It's hard to come back from that. You should have seen how quickly it took the wind out of her sails! Another day or two, tops, and I'm sure she'll be the sweetest little baby you could imagine. You can dress her up, play with her, do anything you would with a real toddler, but you'll never have to worry about her growing up, or out of this stage. She'll be your perfect little toddler, forever."

"Are you sure?" the man asked. "This is a big commitment."

"You can always wait until next time," the worker reminded her, "although, obviously, I can't guarantee you'll end up with one this cute then, or as small. We screen our candidates as much as we can, but it's always a bit of a gamble. There's no exact science to what we do. That's part of why our prices are so high, along with the obvious, of course. Honestly, I'm not even sure why she shrank this much. Our results are usually pretty precise. It's almost like our... methods," she said coyly, "reacted to something inside her. So, really, this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. But if you want to wait..."

"No, I'm sure," the woman smiled, reaching in, stroking Sierra's hair. "She's our baby."

It was a much meeker Sierra who was led out of the nap room, toddling in her dirty diaper to the changing table. "I expect you to apologize to everyone you were mean to," the worker informed her.

"O-Okay," Sierra nodded quietly. At the moment, she would have done just about anything to get a clean diaper, after the horror of waking up, finding herself in a crib and a dirty diaper, unable to get out of either, the fun, colorful adventures in her dreams instantly fading away into her new, mortifying reality. She didn't have much of a choice in the matter, anyway, the worker following her, watching as she waddled up to each of the toddlers and said sorry, the worker forcing them all to hug, then, when they were done, instructing Sierra to play with her new friends.

She'd ended up with the little redhead, who was still at the dollhouse. "No!" the girl whined. "She's a baby! I'm a big girl!"

"Jessy, that's not very nice," the worker told her, but she wouldn't budge.

Sierra blushed, hardly able to believe someone here was turning their nose up at her, that she was too immature for them. After what had happened in her diaper, however, and having to put another frowny face sticker on her chart herself, it was hard to deny it, however. She wound up going over to a group of other kids, playing with a pile of stuffed animals, joining in until lunchtime, where she was put in the high chair again and fed baby food this time, the worker not even bothering to try letting her do it herself, and actual naptime, where, since she'd already slept that day, she just toddled around her crib, trying desperately, but futilely, to find a weakness in the bars, some way to escape, her bladder slowly starting to feel more and more full.

Through it all, she had two big hopes. One was that, when they went outside, she'd touch the sign, and she'd get big again. That would be awkward, and embarrassing, since these clothes definitely weren't going to stretch to fit her when she was an adult, but she'd work something out. The other was that, eventually, the other Sierra was going to show up and prove her stories right. She wasn't an imaginative little toddler, she'd been telling the truth the whole time!

But she didn't see any new kids being brought in that day, and the later it got, the more unlikely it was that the other Sierra was going to show up. And there was no sign of them going to play outside, either. Finally, after bouncing the stuffed kitty she'd been playing with for what felt like an hour, she had to ask, "When are we gonna play on the playground?"

"We did," the little boy she was playing with, who was really more interested in gnawing on the ears of the elephant he had, answered.

"I know you have other days," Sierra rolled her eyes. "When are we doing it today?!"

He frowned, looking at her like she was the dumb baby. "We did this mownin'."

"Y-You did?" Sierra gulped, staring out the door at the sign. Had they done that while she was in time out?! Had she destroyed any chance she'd had with her failed plot?! It was definitely starting to look that way, as kids started to get picked up, the day appearing to wind down.

She couldn't believe she'd spent a whole day here, in daycare, partially because it had felt like two or three, at least, the infantile companionship, and activities, really wearing on her, making it hard for her to remember she was an adult, and not one of them. At least this was going to be it, she thought.

That was it! She perked up a little. She hadn't thought of it before, maybe because she hadn't wanted to spend the entire day here to wait it out, but there was a third way out of this. There was nobody to pick her up from here! Once everyone else was gone, and she was left, the worker was going to have to call her 'Mommy', who would tell her that she hadn't dropped her Sierra off at all, so there was no reason for her to come pick her up. Then the woman would have to admit her mistake.

It might have felt more impactful, getting the apology that was definitely coming her way, if it had happened before the woman had diapered her, or seen her poop her pants, or put her in time-out, or changed her, or fed her more than once, but it would still be nice. Sierra started to feel better about this, reminded herself to look up from her plushies a little more often to look out for an available worker.

She'd been holding her bladder for a while now, but every time she tried to go to someone to help her get to the potty, another baby had gotten to them first, unhampered by her extra-thick diaper, needing the potty themselves, or a change. Now the herd was thinning, thankfully, and her bladder, which was starting to feel like it was going to explode, could tell relief was in sight.

Finally, she spotted her chance. There was a worker, off by the bookshelf, putting things away, no toddlers nearby, nobody in her way. Sierra tumbled to her feet, hating how used to getting around in these massive diapers she was getting, and toddled towards her, ready to finally get a happy face on her chart, to prove that she was, indeed, at least a little potty trained.

"There you are!"

Sierra groaned, hearing the words that had started this all once more, feeling herself getting picked up again, just like this morning. "No!" she kicked her sneaker-clad feet. "Not now!"

"Yes, now!" the worker chuckled. "Your Mommy is here!"

"What?!" That was impossible! Why would the other Sierra's mother have shown up?! She blushed at the thought of this stranger seeing her this way, but she knew, ultimately, it would work out. After everything else, this one, final humiliation wasn't even that bad, and the woman would confirm that Sierra wasn't her daughter, and end this.

Sure enough, Sierra had never seen the woman she was carted over to before. "Here she is!" the worker smiled, handing Sierra off. Sierra squirmed, preparing for the fireworks, to hear the worker get told off.

"Thank you," Mommy smiled, bouncing Sierra in her arms. "Wave bye-bye for tonight, Sierra!"

"Wh-What are you talking about?!" Sierra squealed.

"We're going home, silly girl," Mommy laughed. "Don't worry, you'll be back to play with your friends tomorrow."

"B-But..." Sierra shook her head, groaning in confusion.

The woman stroked her hair, grinning. "Don't think too hard," she teased. "You might hurt yourself."

"Let me go!" Sierra squirmed, trying to break free of this stranger's grip. "You can't do this! I'm not a baby!"

"Oh, I think you are," her new Mommy told her, giving her diaper a pat, Sierra quieting down, blushing as she felt the wet squish of the woman's hand on her bottom, and realized, in the excitement, her bladder had let go. "And you will be forever."

Sierra continued to wriggle helplessly as she was carried out to the car and strapped into the car seat. She was still holding onto one last hope, the idea that, the next day, if she stayed out of trouble and got to play outside, maybe she'd be able to reach the sign and it would fix everything. She'd have to get through the night first, and at least a little longer at the daycare, but if she could do that, then maybe it would work.

Maybe. She had no reason to believe it, and the longer she stayed this way, the more unlikely it was starting to feel that something so simple would do it, but it was all she had. She just wished she could get the way Mommy had said 'forever' out of her mind, or the creeping sense that maybe the worker had known more than she'd let on, because, if that was the case, there was no way reversing this would be as easy as touching the same thing that had started it, if it was even possible. She just had to hope she was wrong, although, as she bounced along in her car seat, sucking on her pacifier, she began to realize how implausible that was. How could Mommy not know something? She'd known to come get Sierra, and was acting like she was, indeed, her own baby.

"Oh, crap," she gasped behind her pacifier as it hit her, probably long after it should have.

This had been a trap all along. If Sierra hadn't touched the sign then, she'd probably have been taken out to it during her interview, encouraged to touch it. She wondered if she'd have gotten to stay a little older if she'd touched one of the others, but that hardly mattered now. It had absolutely been a trap, and she'd let herself fall right into it, like the dumb little baby it had made her!

Had they done this before? She had no way of knowing, of course, but it hadn't felt like they were targeting her specifically, like they'd just gotten her name for the chart, to start messing with her mind, when she'd set up her interview. Were some of those other 'children' she'd seen other people who had applied for jobs, only to get adopted?! A shiver ran up her spine at the thought. None of them had made any moves to help her, or acted like there was any shred of their adulthood left. How long would it be before she was like them?!

"Again?" Mommy chuckled from the front seat. "I heard you already did that! Don't worry, though, sweetie, I'll change you when we get home."

Sierra tugged at the restraints on her car seat frantically, but they refused to budge. Where was she going to go?! There were definitely child locks on this car, and she wasn't going to leap out of a moving vehicle anyway. She was stuck here, the size of a baby, with people who were clearly happy to treat her like one, potentially, as Mommy had said, forever. And Sierra's wand was getting further and further away the longer the woman drove, taking with it any hope she had of getting herself out of this.
