Sierra really should have known better by now. The babysitting jobs that seemed the easiest never were, and yet she still believed they would be.
It wasn't that Tylar was a bad girl, because she wasn't, she was just not very happy about having to have a babysitter at all. Sierra certainly understood that, although Tylar was still young enough, she definitely did need one, whether she realized it or not. She could do most things by herself, but she still needed an adult nearby, just in case.
Sierra mostly stayed out of her way, unless the girl really did need help with something, and Tylar seemed okay with that. Eventually, however, it was the girl's bedtime, and that was when she really got unhappy. "I'm not tired!" she insisted.
"You need to at least lie down," Sierra sighed. "Your Mommy told me I needed to have you in bed by now."
It wasn't even as hard a thing to do as Sierra was used to. For one, she was bigger than this girl, which didn't always happen with her charges, but, more importantly, Tylar wasn't a bedwetter, so she didn't have to argue with her about putting on a diaper. Sierra had gotten through the whole evening without even seeing a diaper! That was a rarity, and definitely a pleasant one!
Of course, even without that, bedtime could still be difficult, as Sierra was discovering. "Can't I just stay up and watch some Youtube or something?" the girl pouted.
"No, Tylar," Sierra said, as sternly as she could. "You need to be trying to sleep, not watching anything."
But Tylar still wasn't convinced. Sierra looked around the girl's room, desperately searching for inspiration. She didn't want to enchant the girl directly, because she was afraid something would go wrong, but she was sure there had to be something else she could use to help herself out with this task.
Her eyes lit up when she saw the bookshelf. "Hey," she suggested, "how about I read you a story?"
"I don't know," Tylar grumbled, but Sierra was already heading over there, inconspicuously pulling her wand out of her pocket and whispering a quick spell. She had to be quiet, so as not to draw attention, but she was pretty sure she'd gotten all the right words in there.
There were lots of books on the shelf, and she hadn't really had time to aim, so she just had to sense which of the books the spell had hit. As soon as she did, she started to worry again. It was a picture book, one that seemed too young for the girl, although it was certainly appropriate for the situation, since the title was, "Time for Bed!"
"Umm, how about this?" Sierra asked, carrying it over to the girl's bed and sitting next to her on it, expecting a probably justified protest. Tylar didn't look excited, but she didn't freak out, either, which was a good start.
"I can read that on my own," Tylar declared.
"Okay," Sierra nodded. "Why don't you show me, then?"
Tylar took the book and opened it up. Sierra instantly noticed how cute the illustrations were, smiling as she looked at the drawing of the little blonde girl. The pictures looked like they were done in crayon, which gave them the vibe of an actual kid's drawings, although they were obviously more well done than any child, other than an extremely talented one, could have pulled off.
"'"It's time for bed!" your Mommy said! I'm sure you know what that means! Even if you're playing a very good game, it's time to stop! You can finish in the morning!'" Tylar read out loud, pausing afterwards to take in the illustration as well. The girl in it was lying on her stomach, construction paper and crayons laid out in front of her, looking up, as if she'd heard her mother's voice.
"You know," the girl mused, "she looks kind of like you."
"What? No, she doesn't," Sierra shook her head. "She's a little girl, and I'm..." She frowned, looking a bit closer. That was weird, she thought to herself. The girl in the picture was blonde, like her, although that wasn't that strange on its own. The fact that she had on jeans, and a light purple t-shirt, just like Sierra, however, was a little more odd.
She felt a strange feeling in her tummy, looking at the book. "M-Maybe we should read something else," she suggested. Had her spell done something other than what she'd intended? It would hardly have been the first time. She couldn't help leaning a little closer, still, trying to make out what color the girl's eyes were, wanting confirmation that everything else was a coincidence.
Then, all of the sudden, she was falling. She gasped, waving her arms wildly, not knowing what was going on for a moment, until she hit the floor, flat on her stomach, with an, "Oof!"
She knew right away something was wrong. She hadn't landed on the floor of Tylar's room, after all. This looked like a living room, and, besides, Tylar hadn't had art supplies spread out right in front of her bed. Much more worryingly, however, was the fact that nothing around her looked quite real. It all looked like it had been drawn in crayon, except in was in three dimensions, and, as she found when she picked up a crayon, she could interact with it.
To her, she looked the same, although she had a feeling that, to Tylar, she looked like the girl from illustration. She could have asked her about it, since, when she looked up, she saw a giant version of the girl's face, staring down at her from what looked like a huge window.
She knew better, though. It wasn't a window, it was the page. She was trapped inside the book! "Hey!" she yelled, scrambling to her feet. "Let me out of here!"
"Oh!" Tylar jumped, eyes widening. "You are moving! I thought I was imagining that! Sierra, did you...?" She turned, saw that her sitter was gone, then turned her eyes back to the book, a smile crossing her face as she realized what had happened. "I guess it did look like you, huh?"
"Yeah, yeah," Sierra sighed, reaching into her pocket for her wand, only to find it wasn't there. It hadn't made the trip with her, apparently. "Can you tilt the book down?" she requested, wanting to see if she spotted the wand sitting on the bed where she'd been. She could probably talk the girl through reversing the spell and getting her out of there.
"I couldn't read it, then," Tylar told her. "And I want to see what happens next."
Sierra watched the girl's hand reaching to one side of the 'window', shaking her head. "Tylar, don't!" she pleaded, not knowing what that would do. "Just hold on for a minute, I need...!"
Before she could finish, she saw the girl start to turn the page, and, suddenly, everything was different. She was standing in a kitchen now, in front of a huge woman with bright red hair, and what seemed like excessively large breasts, especially for a children's book illustration. Sierra tried not to stare, but it was impossible to avoid looking at them, to the point where she almost didn't notice the woman was handing her a sippy cup.
Like the woman, the cup looked like a drawing, more than anything real, but, after the woman insisted, "Take it, sweetie!" and Sierra complied, mostly out of instinct, she was able to hold it. It was pretty big, though, requiring both hands, which made it look like she was so small she actually needed the lid to keep from spilling.
"'First it's time to have your snack! Make sure you don't spill! Mommy still has lots of things to do, and you don't want to give her more!'" Tylar's voice boomed. "Go on, drink it!"
"Tylar," Sierra protested, staring at the oversized cup. "Can you just tilt the book a little? I need to see something, and..."
"Drink!" Tylar demanded.
Sierra sighed. There really wasn't much she could do right now, unfortunately. Reluctantly, she lifted the sippy cup to her lips and began to drink, wrinkling her nose as soon as the liquid inside touched her tongue. It was milk, but there was something different about it. Maybe it was because she was in the world of this book, or because it was warm, and she normally had hers cold, if she had any at all, although it seemed oddly familiar, somehow. It was very watery, and sweet.
"Is that better?" Sierra asked, not wanting to drink any more than she had to.
"Nuh-uh," Tylar shook her head. "I wasn't done reading yet. 'And always finish every drop, she made it just for you!' See? You have to drink it all!"
Sierra's stomach churned as she heard those words, eyes shooting over towards the 'Mommy' standing there, watching her intently, eyes drawn to her chest again. She had a very bad feeling she knew where she remembered this taste from, and, while she was glad she wasn't being given it straight from the source, that didn't do much to make the idea of it less icky.
"Tylar, please!" she begged. "I can't drink this! And it's so big!"
"You have to!" Tylar told her. "I'm not turning the page until you do!"
"That's fine!" Sierra replied. It was probably a good thing, since she didn't know what would happen on the next page. "You don't have to! Just let me see the bed beside you!"
"Nope," Tylar shook her head. "We're staying right here until you do as you're told!"
"Tylar!" Sierra stomped her foot. "You don't understand!" The girl didn't appear to care, either, staring down at her sitter defiantly until, at last, she gave in, whimpering and gagging even before she raised the sippy cup back to her lips. She was even more certain, now that she'd had the thought, that she recognized the taste of breast milk, slowly filling her tummy as she choked it down.
"Okay," Sierra groaned, once she'd emptied every drop out of the cup, turning it upside down to prove it. "Can you... Tylar, no!"
But the girl was already turning the page, and Sierra was suddenly in a warm bubble bath. She was naked, of course, cheeks blazing as she tried to cover herself with the bubbles before the page finished flipping completely, but she was struggling against the Mommy, who was washing her, seemingly obsessed with making sure every inch of her was scrubbed pink and clean.
"'Mommy has to clean you up! You've been playing hard all day! I know it might seem boring, but at least there are bubbles!'" Tylar read, sitting back to watch the show.
"Tylar," Sierra blushed, both at the indignity of the little girl seeing this, and at the humiliation and invasiveness of a stranger, and not even a real one at that, doing it in the first place, cleaning every inch of her. "This isn't funny!"
"Yeah," Tylar agreed after a moment. "I'm bored now."
"Good!" Sierra nodded, breathing a sigh of relief. "Now, just... Stop it!"
Tylar already had the page halfway turned by then. Sierra was still in the bathroom, but standing on a step-stool in front of the sink, completely naked. Mommy was standing right behind her, blocking the view of anything, although that didn't really make Sierra feel much better about the situation, especially when she saw the toothbrush the woman was clutching in her hands. Before Sierra could even make a plea to Tyler, it had been shoved into her mouth, the mirror showing her the crayon-drawing version of herself, struggling as her teeth were brushed.
"'Then it's time to brush your teeth! That's very important, too! If you can't do it by yourself, your Mommy can help you out!'" Tylar narrated, watching the struggle for just a few seconds before getting bored of it, too.
Next, Sierra was standing in a room that looked an awful lot like Tylar's. Mommy was standing in front of the closet door, staring at the clothes hung up there, while Sierra hung back, wrapped in a big, fluffy towel.
"'Now you have to get your PJs, so you're nice and comfy as you sleep! There are lots of different kinds, so maybe you should let your Mommy pick!'"
Sierra could see Tylar starting to yawn above her, and seized the opportunity. "This book is dumb, isn't it?" she asked. "If you just help me out for a second, I can get you a better one to read, okay?"
Mommy grabbed her, spinning her back around, holding up pajamas to her. When she did, Sierra saw something else in the closet, down on the floor, that made her even more desperate to stop this story right where it was. She prayed Tylar didn't notice it, wasn't sure how visible it would be to her, or if she'd recognize the package. Sierra, of course, was all too familiar with it.
Sierra gasped as Mommy pulled the towel away, leaving Sierra naked again, and started to pull the nightgown she'd chosen over her head. It was blue and white, and very cute, almost looking like something she'd wear to play in, except much lighter, and shorter. "No, Tylar, don't turn the page!" Sierra yelped as she saw the girl doing just that, afraid of where this story was heading.
"This part is dumb," Tylar told her. "I hope the next page is better."
"It won't be!" Sierra exclaimed. "Just stop reading, you don't... Oh, no!"
Sure enough, when the page flipped, she was lying on the illustrated version of Tylar's bed, a big, poofy diaper under her bottom, in the midst of being taped onto her. "Nooo," she whimpered, squirming helplessly as Mommy did her work, wanting to turn invisible as soon as she saw Tylar face peeking in to witness it all.
"What is that?" the girl giggled, squinting and pulling the book closer, laughing even harder when she figured it out. She could hardly make it through the words on the page, she was so tickled. "'Some little girls have to wear special undies to bed. Some girls that think they're big do, too, but anyone who needs a diaper is just a baby, through and through!'"
"No, I am not!" Sierra growled, tossing and turning on the bed, the diaper, sealed snugly around her, following her every move, crinkling loudly. "A-And I don't need them!"
"But you look so cute in them!" Tylar teased. "I wonder what happens next?"
"It doesn't matter!" Sierra crossed her arms, glaring up at her. "You need to stop this, now! I am your babysitter, and I'm telling you to... Tylar!" She yelped as she saw the page turning, again.
"Ow!" she squealed immediately. She was standing up, and Mommy was holding her hand tightly, dragging her somewhere else, which made it obvious her nightgown didn't come close to covering the bulky diaper. Worse than that, though, were the swats Mommy was delivering to the back of her diaper with every step. The woman was so big, and so strong, Sierra could tell she had no hope of escaping her grip, and the hallway they were walking through seemed to go on forever.
The diaper was huge, but it didn't seem to do much to protect her from the much huger woman's spanks. This was even more amusing to Tylar than the last page, and she kept it there for a while, watching the eternal struggle, giggling, while Sierra felt her bottom growing pink and sore beneath the diaper.
"Stop it!" she glowered at the Mommy drawing, as if it had any agency in this. "I'm not a baby! You can't do this to me!"
But it simply kept walking, pulling her forward, punctuating every movement forward, down the everlasting hallway, with another swat. "T-Tylar, flip the page!" Sierra begged.
"But you told me to stop," the girl smirked. "Which is it?"
Sierra really doubted she'd be able to talk the girl through the spell she'd have to do while getting whapped on the padded bottom every few seconds, so she told her, "Keep going! J-Just get me out of here!"
"But I haven't even read this page," Tylar replied. "Let's see..." Sierra was sure she was taking her time, looking around as if she couldn't tell where the text was. "Oh, here we go! 'If you need them, you shouldn't grumble! Your Mommy always knows best! Whining and crying only means you need an attitude adjustment!'"
Sierra gulped. "N-No!" she changed her mind. "Go back! Flip back to the beginning!"
"That part was all boring," Tylar reminded her. "I bet this next part won't be!"
"Please, Ty... Oomph!" Sierra's words were muffled as the page turned, and, suddenly, she was back in the bathroom, a bar of soap jammed into her mouth, as Mommy worked to clean her up again. She was focused on only one part this time, however, scrubbing it thoroughly while Sierra squirmed and whimpered in her diaper, feeling her mouth fill up with suds, then feeling them helplessly dribble out onto her nightgown.
"'"I'm not a baby!" That's a thing you should never say, if you belong in diapers! It's very naughty to tell your Mommy she's wrong, and she'll have to wash those words right out of your mouth!'" Tylar read with glee.
Sierra really couldn't do anything this time. She was firmly in Mommy's grip, and every time she tried to speak up, and appeal to her charge's sense of mercy, she got a fresh dose of the soap. She had no idea how long she stayed there, getting her mouth washed out, although it felt like an eternity.
Finally, Tylar got bored, or felt sorry enough for her, and moved on. Sierra immediately tried to spit the nasty taste of soap out of her mouth, only manage to dribble more of it onto her PJs as she looked around, breathing a sigh of relief not to see Mommy there. She was getting a break, it seemed. Hopefully, she could talk Tylar into helping her out now.
"'That's only the beginning, though! You know what's coming next! Be a good girl and accept it, because tantrums only make it worse!'"
Sierra's eyes widened at the sound of those words, a sick feeling filling her tummy that had nothing to do with all the soap she'd accidentally swallowed, or the breast milk she'd drank before that. She turned around again, and this time she noticed the pink paddle hanging on the wall of the room she was in, waiting ominously.
"Tylar!" she yelped, tears in her eyes as she rushed towards the window, away from the paddle. "Please, you can't go any further! This has gone on long enough! Stop now!"
"But I'm not sleepy yet," Tylar told her. "This was supposed to get me ready for bed, wasn't it?"
"Tylar!" Sierra shook her head, stumbling and running right into... nothing! She frowned, reaching her hands out, and feeling solid air. There wasn't anything there, and yet, she couldn't move any further forward. She must have hit the page! "Tylar, let me out of here!" she begged, pounding on the empty air. It didn't hurt, but, at the same time, it didn't seem to be doing anything. "Please!"
"Weren't you paying attention?" Tylar asked, shaking her head, ignoring her sitter's pleas and reaching for the next page. "Tantrums only make it worse!"
Sure enough, on the next page, Sierra was on Mommy's lap, her diaper off, her bottom getting a liberal dose of the paddle. Tears were already filling her eyes at the first swing, and it only got worse from there. She might as well have been a real child, over her mother's knees, because she couldn't get away, couldn't escape the merciless paddle. She was bawling in no time, feeling her bottom reddening, growing warmer and more sore with every passing moment.
"'It's okay to cry, I know it hurts, but Mommy knows what's best! You should always thank her for teaching you... Or it might never end!'" Tylar read.
Sierra was struggling to pay attention to anything other than the pain spreading through her backside, but she managed to hear the end of it. Did Tylar actually expect her to do that?! After everything she'd put her through, Sierra wasn't about to thank Mommy for anything! She didn't deserve any of this! It wasn't fair!
But Tylar kept watching, expectantly, making no move to further the story. She didn't say anything, yet Sierra knew what she had to do.
"M-Mommy..." she whimpered, struggling to calm herself down enough to speak, hoping she hadn't waited too long. "M-Mommy, th-thank... Ouch!" She sniffled, legs kicking helplessly behind her as the woman got in a particularly hard swat. "Th-Thank you!" she blurted out. "I-I'll be good!"
For a moment, Sierra thought Tylar had done what she'd asked, and went back to the beginning of the book. She was back, lying on her stomach, paper and crayons in front of her. This time, however, she was in Tylar's bedroom, she was still in her nightgown, and her diaper was back, as thick as ever. Beneath it, her bottom was throbbing, and she had no doubt there were red marks radiating out from under it, making it obvious to anyone that looked that she was a well-punished little girl.
"'Now you're back in diapers anyway! Don't you feel silly for griping? Even though you're already late for bed, Mommy will make sure you don't forget!'" Tylar said.
Sierra glanced at the paper in front of her again, now realizing that it had the words, 'I am a baby,' written across the top. Was her punishment still not over?! Was she supposed to do lines now?!
"Ty-Tylar," she sniffled. "I-I'm sorry... You can stay up as late as you want, okay?"
"Okay!" the girl nodded eagerly. "But you still have to finish that!"
"Tylar!" Sierra whined, hitting her fists on the floor in front of her, not caring how much like an actual tantrum it looked like she was having.
"Do you want me to go back to the last page?" Tylar threatened.
"N-No!" Sierra gulped, grabbing the nearest crayon. Reluctantly, she began to write out her lines, wiggling her toasty bottom in her crinkly diaper, sniffling softly. She was certain Tylar would get bored with this quickly, well before she came close to filling the whole page, but the girl stuck with it, watching intently as Sierra's messy handwriting, even worse than usual after the long evening she'd had, slowly repeated the humiliating line over and over.
Unfortunately, that breast milk was really starting to get to Sierra well before she reached the end. She swallowed nervously, looking around the room, but, like in the real world, there was no bathroom there. Mommy wasn't there, either, although she didn't expect any mercy from her. "T-Tylar?" she asked in a small voice, squirming in place.
"Are you done?" the girl asked.
Sierra blushed, fidgeting even more. What was she thinking? Tylar wasn't going to help her! Her eyes flicked upwards towards the door, and, as soon as Tylar glanced away, she rushed towards it, grabbing the knob, throwing it open, and stepping through... Right back into Tylar's bedroom.
Apparently, only the room in the illustration on this page existed. The hallway beyond, and the bathroom two doors down, weren't there. "What are you doing?" Tylar asked. "Get back on the floor and finish!"
Sierra waddled back over to the page, sinking down, writing a few more repetitions, telling herself she could wait until the next page, and hope it was set in the bathroom. She blushed bright red as she felt a trickle of warmth squirt out into her padding involuntarily, trying to squeeze her thighs together to stop it, only to be stopped by the bulky diaper. The trickle quickly turned into a stream, and, in no time, she'd soaked her diaper, and still had most of a page to fill.
Thankfully, Tylar didn't seem to notice, or think anything of it, so Sierra was able to work in peace, feeling the warm, squishy padding turning cold as the punishment wore on. "There," she declared at last, picking up the page and showing it to Tylar. "Happy now?"
Luckily, Tylar didn't seem to spot what Sierra saw, which was the same line, 'I am a baby', written on the page under the one she'd just finished. The girl nodded and turned the page, but the scene didn't change. Sierra was still on the floor of Tylar's room, the second line sheet laid out before her.
She wasn't too concerned with that, however, because, as soon as the page fell completely into place, she felt a rumbling in her belly that signalled something much worse than a wetting on its way.
"'Uh-oh!'" Tylar exclaimed, in a tone that made Sierra worry something had gone wrong for a second, before realizing the girl was reading. "'What's happening in your pants?'"
Sierra gasped as she felt the back of her diaper bulging outwards. "No!" she squealed, fighting to stop it, feeling the mushy mess slowly oozing out of her, spreading throughout her whole diaper, forcing it to balloon around her, ignored her every attempt. "Tylar, p-please! Stop reading!"
Tylar giggled, instead, delighted to see her already utterly humiliated babysitter demean herself even further. "'That's not a polite sound! Your Mommy was right after all, that's not what big girls do!'" she read. "Sierra! You aren't really doing that, are you?!"
Sierra whimpered, still in the midst of filling her diaper to the brim, wishing very much she could say no.
"Such a naughty little baby," Tylar laughed. "I can't believe Mommy hired you to babysit me! It should definitely be the other way around, don't you think?"
Sierra couldn't bring herself to say anything, though there really wasn't much she could say at this point. And, as Tylar turned the page, she suddenly couldn't, anyway. She was standing in a corner now, diaper bulging and sagging behind her, a large pacifier stuffed into her mouth.
"'You've been here many times before, you know the corner well. That pacifier's there to remind you, you're meant to be seen, not heard. Nothing you say will change your fate, you're just a baby, forevermore.'" Tylar read.
"No, I'm not!" Sierra tried to protest, but, behind the pacifier, it came out only as nonsense baby babble.
Tylar turned the page one, last time, but the picture didn't change. Sierra was still in her corner, sucking on her pacifier. "'Maybe tomorrow, you'll be sweet, and go to bed clean, happy, and unspanked! But some babies just won't learn their lesson, and I think you're one of those. Don't worry, Mommy's always here, to do it all every night.'"
Sierra gulped, glancing behind herself, realizing that maybe the picture had changed, after all. She didn't see Mommy, but she did spy a shadow, making her worry the woman was lurking right out of sight, ready to pounce if Sierra tried to move out of her time-out, or say anything. Sierra squirmed, sniffling, too scared to even try to beg for Tylar's help again, if she could have even managed to make the girl understand the necessary spell around the pacifier.
She was there for what seemed like a very long time before she dared to look behind herself again, wondering what was taking Tylar so long. She didn't see the girl there, however, just the ceiling of the girl's room, and the fan Sierra remembered was hanging over her bed. The little brat wasn't even watching her anymore! She'd put the book down and went off to do something else!
Sierra was stuck in the corner even longer before she heard voices behind her. "Where did she even go?" Tylar's father was asking. "Why would she leave a little girl all alone, without even telling us what was going on?"
"I don't know," Tylar's mother replied. "I guess she isn't as good a sitter as we'd heard. What is this? I've never seen this book before."
The perspective through the window changed briefly as the book was picked up, and then darkness began to overwhelm the room as the woman started to close the book. Sierra gulped, wondering if this was a good thing or not, if she should try to yell out and make her stop. Would she be trapped here if she did that?!
Thankfully, as soon as the book shut all the way, Sierra was back in the real world. She was still in the corner, but she could tell the walls were normal, not drawn with crayon. She felt grateful, for a few seconds.
"Oh, there she is! What in the world are you doing...?" Tylar's mother started to ask. She paused, just as Sierra realized her position wasn't the only thing that hadn't changed. "What are you wearing?! What is that smell?! What do you think you're doing, young lady?!"
"I-I..." Sierra stammered behind her pacifier, yelping as the woman grabbed her by the ear, pulling her away from the corner.
"Put her to bed," the woman ordered her husband, as she marched Sierra past him, and Tylar, doing her best to hide a sleepy grin. "I'll deal with her." She yanked Sierra down the hall, stopping to grab a heavy, wooden hairbrush from the bathroom. "You'd better have a good explanation for this," she warned, pushing Sierra down onto one of the hard, wooden chairs in the dining room, the mess in her diaper squelching beneath her.
Sierra gulped, squirming at staring up at the woman nervously, wondering how she hadn't remembered before that her hair was bright red, not unlike the Mommy's from the book. And, in that dress she'd worn on her date night with her husband, it was hard for Sierra not to notice her breasts bulging out, as if they were trying to escape. "I-I..." Sierra swallowed, having a bad feeling this night was far from over. "I-I was just trying to read Tylar a bedtime story," she said, watching as the woman tapped the hairbrush on her open palm, already certain that wasn't going to qualify as a 'good explanation'.
